Earl will have to tell us - there is also a donation factor, where do we send it and how do we trust it? I know Earl and trust him, but not everyone does. I think this is a great idea if it gets worked out. I think maybe asking Laurel about Lit's donations would be good? Just a thought.

Well, the offer could go through a trusted middleman, if the two parties didn't know each other. But it would be kind of a trust thing as well. Anyone who'd fake a thank you e-mail from a charity would pay for it in karma. I kinda like the idea of each pledger specifying which charity they'd like the donations to go to.

I'm in. I've no idea what on earth I'd be able to offer, but I'm open to suggestions

Photos
Audios - maybe a sexy lady/man reading one of the winner's stories.
Illustrations of anything.
If anyone's good at dolling, then dolls are good.
A personal story written to specs
Changing the signature for a month.
A detailed edit on a WIP.
A poem about something
A website built for someone.
A person written into a Lit story as a character

Maybe we can ask Laurel to put up a prize of a plug on the home page for the winner's story?

How would we actually pay? I might have to get myself a paypal account or whatever is required. And if I can think of anything worthwhile I might have to offer after all, I'll post it.

Right, well - how about this for a set of rules.

An auction thread will be started. Each pledger will post once to offer their 'product', detailing who the money needs to go to, how it will need to be paid and what the minimum bid is. Each auction will last 3 days from the minute the post is up. Bids are recieved via PM to the relevant pledger. At the end of each day, the pledgers post the highest bid so far (not naming names, just the amount). After the 3 day period, the highest bid is obviously the winner and the pledger will contact the winner to arrange handover and payment of money to the relevant charity.

Sound like a plan?
