A Lit charity auction

I am not clear about what the bids would be? I am not certain, Earl, about the proposal, how does one know where money goes? How about filtering an agreed on charity through Laurel? Why not make it more of a slave for a 1000 - 1500 word story tailored to the bid winner, since we are authors? That way no one has to worry about what they can offer or where the money goes? :)

I'd prefer to have an individual charity. It's going to be very difficult to prove payment definitively, no matter what happens, however, I maintain that anyone who doesn't pay will suffer horrible karma and bad parking luck. Most charities, when you donate online will send a 'Thank you' letter which can be forwarded for proof and, anyone who'd fake one of those isn't worth chasing.

The bids would be via PM. Blind bids with the highest one being announced at the end of each day in a 3 day auction.

Any more qs?

I would, but I just get shy and stutter banalities. It soooo wouldn't be worth it.

I'm chicken!

Yeah, right! If you auction? You are a whore like the rest of us!

I am still in Earl, just some repetative questioning I am sure. I do not have a charity though - so I suppose we should come up with one for people like me? :) I suggest something for impoverished children since they are most in need this time of the year? I have no idea what they are though :)

Between your banalities and my confusing you and changing the topic? It would be a perfect call! :D

Cloudy's list of Native American charities?

I've updated my donation with charity information. I've opted for the Yellowstone Park Foundation as the recipient of any money generated from my auction.

Missed them and no offence, but Native American is a bit prejudicial to the greater Native community in the western hemisphere, especially since I don't live in America. Thank you for the help though. Saw Min's UNICEF ... hm ...

There are sites set up that rate charities based on where the money goes, etc. The only one I know off hand is http://www.charitynavigator.org/ - I think it only lists US charities, but it may be a jumping off point or it may have info (I would hope, but can't guarantee) on international charities.

Question:

Do we need to post what the latest bid is? Or do we take care of all that via PM to whoever is bidding?

I will check them out Min, thanks. :rose:

Ohhhhhh I have a great idea, I just have to see if I can put it together...woohoo. :nana:

It's a blind auction. So the highest bids will be announced at the end of each day. Easiest way around it.

Do we announce them in this thread, or the other thread?

I'll start a new thread for the actual auctions I think. So we'll have somethign completely clean. I have the feeling that that'll be a job for tomorrow. We'll wait and see if anyone else wants to pledge a donation.

I'm hoping to come up with a one of a kind Abstrusions T-shirt.

I will be willing to do at least the custom story idea...photos aren't a matter for bidding, but for trusting, as is my real name....I would read the story for a person, no problem.

And I wouldn't put many limitations on the story except the actual Literotica ones. If it is publishable here, I'll attempt it, even if it involves something totally outside my normal train of thought.

If all of the Coming Together authors sent electronic signatures to someone, then a special version of CT could be released for a day with a picture of autographs inside.

The Earl

Very doable.

Scan & e-mail your LIT signature to ComingTogether@EroticAnthology.com *

(But why just "for a day" ... why not just leave it there as "THE" version and add autographed copy to the description?)

* NOTE: I'm not editing & uploading the behemoth 20Mb manuscript files until ALL signatures for a volume are received.
