"Fine, fine!" I said, giving up "I'll go with you!". My friends seemed thrilled that I was on board on their little get away. It wasn't such a big trip, seeing how we already lived in California and were just going from the capital, to the largest city Los Angeles. This whole thing was planned out in an instant, without much thought going for it. Sure, our parents were all pretty well off but I couldn't help but think that we should have planned a bit more beforehand. In the back of my mind, I was hoping that my parents were going to decline the trip outright, but instead was surprised to see how well they took it; "Go ahead Emily!" my father exclaimed "Have fun, you only live once." Reluctantly, I went along with this charade, pretending that I even wanted to be with my friends. Truth is that I absolutely loathed traveling, but my friends convinced me to go with them, as we were heading off to college by the end of the summer and would have much more dilemmas to deal with. How could I decline without seeming like a villain? Geez.

My boyfriend, Tyler, was understanding to say the least about my trip. I invited him to come along with us, but he simply did not want to. He claimed that he just couldn't cut anymore hours from his part time job at the grocery store; though I knew that he was every bit like me when it came to traveling. Our relationship wasn't going all that smoothly, as it was hitting a rocky road. Tyler was a few years older than I, him being 23 years old and I being barely eighteen. We had been together for about two months now and he was recently pushing for sex. People probably wouldn't believe me, even if I would tell them, but I was pretty much a virgin. I would flat-out deny him when he would get too intimate, and Tyler didn't appreciate it the least bit.

He wasn't the only one to try so. Due to my figure, many guys at my high school tried to hit it off with me. My girl friends would tell me that I had a sexy figure, too endowed for my good. Standing at about 5'9, I had long legs, a plump ass that many guys just wanted to grab, hourglass figure, a fit stomach from my years of daily exercise, ample DDD cup breasts and a beautiful face matched with long blonde hair. I normally didn't wear any revealing clothes, due to my shy nature, but it seemed like at times that I didn't even have a choice in the matter. Any attempt to fully hide myself seemed to be in vain, as my breasts always seemed to catch the attention of any passing male and men and women alike would try to slap my backside. I had to admit, while at times I loved the attention, sometimes it would get downright annoying.

Regardless, I found myself in the minivan alongside with all my friends. Dressed in a purple sweater and tight light blue jeans, I glanced at the window as we drove off. My six friends were pretty tired, too exhausted to make conversation, as we decided to leave as early as possible, so we could enjoy ourselves. But due to the heavy rain pouring down, I doubted that we could do any sight seeing really. "So...where are we going to go to first?" I asked Kyle, the driver. He replied, glancing at the GPS; "Probably at the hotel first. We need to put our stuff away."

"Alright, sounds like a plan." I spoke, looking at the window as we arrived in the enormous city.

Kyle Sanchez wasn't a Mexican. His great-great-grandfather was either stupid or scared when the man at Ellis Island asked for his last name. A fellow Italian had told him that they ask for your full name, your occupation, and nation of origin, and for some reason wound up using the name of a Spaniard selling wood that came through his town before he departed for America. Either way, it was all he could think about as he watched the sun set over Highway 5 South. He hoped he was a much smarter man, that old grandpa Elios hadn't wasted a trip.

A girl, Emily, was the only one still awake. He had an inhuman kind of stamina that allowed him to drive long distances with minimal sleep and maximum safety and distance traveled. He didn't know her that well; in fact, he didn't know many of the people on the trip that well. He had always been a recluse lad that didn't share in the same activities that others in his circle did. But, when Tommy Oliver, a good friend since they wore diapers, needed a vehicle to take a nice summer trip to LA, he turned to Kyle first, knowing he had bought a meaty van for Civil War reenacting. Emily was pretty, and he thought he had met her a few times.

"So...where are we going to go to first?" She asked him, radiating excitement.

"Probably at the hotel first. We need to put our stuff away." I need to shit a squirrel, he thought silently, trying to keep the pain of bowel movement to himself. Emily was the last girl in the world he needed to make a bad impression on, seeing as they were going to be with each other for the next week or so.

"Alright, sounds like a plan."

Los Angeles finally flashed outside of their windows, but Kyle was unimpressed. He liked his life in suburbia, away from the bright lights and loud noises. He liked reading more than anything else; maybe that was why he was so anti-social. Nobody else he knew liked reading books. It was like it was frowned upon, or unacceptable to be interested in the wide world of 'book smarts'. When he read, he didn't have companies telling him what to think or regurgitating time-tried plot devices. He always got something new from the books he experienced.

This didn't mean, however, that he was a pushover; he had gotten in 17 fights in his whole high school career and never lost one. He was viewed as somewhat of a troublemaker, though he never sought it out. His pride ensured that he would never back down from getting something that he wanted.

What he wanted right then was to dump the contents of his stomach into a toilet, and to refill his van with gasoline. He pulled into the first gas station he found, a run-down Conoco station that had been converted into one of its off-brand competitors, and pulled his head back to try and get Emily's attention when he spoke.

"I need gas. I'm gonna be right back, okay?"

I couldn't keep my eyes away from the glass frame, watching as we began to pass by some rather tall buildings. I grew up in a simple, quiet suburbia so this all intrigued me. Granted, I still wasn't exactly thrilled about traveling but I had to admit, this all had a certain charm to it. I glanced around the van as Kyle kept driving. Everyone had fallen asleep, I take it. Still, I wasn't exactly surprised, not many people were exactly energetic in the morning.

I then glanced at Kyle, our driver. Out of the six people I was with, he was probably the one I knew the least. We had spoken a few times, mind you, but he wasn't someone I hung out with on a regular basis. I wasn't sure if his reputation was really true, as people would often speak of him as a trouble maker. I mean, most of the times that I have spoken to him, he had a book in his hands. If I didn't know any better, I'd say he had more studious attributes to him than a tough guy. I had to remember however, not to judge a book by its cover. After all, people can be surprising.

I was surprised to see that we've stopped at a gas station, rather than the hotel.

"I need gas. I'm gonna be right back, okay?" he said, looking at me. "Sure thing." I replied "I'll try to wake up these guys while you're away though." poking at the sleeping passengers.

"Nah, don't do that. Let them sleep til we get to the hotel. Would you want to be woken up at a shitball gas station in the middle of Los Angeles?" He began to climb out of the vehicle and stopped once his feet were on the ground. "Hey, would you pump gas for me? I'm gonna pay for it inside, it'll click when it's ready."

He closed the door without waiting for a response, walking calmly toward the glass doors. He approached the counter, operated solely by a bored Indian man, and he placed a pair of twenty dollar bills on the counter.

"40 on 2, please. Where's your bathroom?"

"No, no bathroom."

"What?"

"Bathroom employees only. No customer bathroom."

"What the fuck, why?"

"No bathroom, thank you, please come back."

Kyle halfway considered taking his money back as the man took it from the counter and rang up his cash register. Kyle stood dumbfounded, needing to shit so bad that his grandpa Elios could feel it. Kyle bit his lip and huffed a moment before leaving the lobby and slowly walking back toward his van.

"Nah, don't do that. Let them sleep til we get to the hotel. Would you want to be woken up at a shitball gas station in the middle of Los Angeles?" he said, earning a laugh from me. "Good point" I replied as he began to get out of the van."Hey, would you pump gas for me? I'm gonna pay for it inside, it'll click when it's ready." he spoke as I nodded. "Sure."

I wasn't so dumb that I didn't know how to do a simple task like this. So, I put the nozzle in the gas tank as the car began to refuel. "That was quick." I said as Kyle came out of the door.

"Yeah, I guess it was," He tried to hide a painful hobble that made his stomach scream. "This town is full of dickheads. Nobody can use a public bathroom anymore because these hooligans go into them and treat it like an enemy village that their platoon has overrun. So what happens? Establishments say, 'no, you can't use the bathroom anymore', and people like me have to deal with bad judgment of taking bathroom breaks. It's insane."

He kicked the rear tire and fell against the side of the van. He leaned comfortably and watched Emily pumping the gas into it; he could barely see her, but what he did see was agreeable. She was pretty, and he'd always thought she was pretty, but he had never made a move before. He didn't think he was about to, seeing as she was with some douche named Tyler that had already cheated on her twice. It seemed like everybody knew except her. Maybe he was crazy, or maybe he cared too much. Maybe she didn't care at all.

"So, what's the deal with you and this Tyler guy?"

Establishments say, 'no, you can't use the bathroom anymore', and people like me have to deal with bad judgment of taking bathroom breaks. It's insane."

"I know what you mean, people come in and ruin things for everyone. It's terrible but there isn't much we can do about it."
I say as he comes over to the car. The whole ordeal obviously upset as he kicked the rear tire and pressed himself against the van. I wasn't sure if anyone woke, but the chances of that happening was doubtful. He looked at me as he spoke; "So, what's the deal with you and this Tyler guy?"

I wasn't sure, but for a second I could have sworn that he was checking me out. I shook off any thought of the matter and responded quickly "Well he's my boyfriend" I said with a chuckle "Not much to say really. Sometimes we get along, sometimes we fight. He said that he would have joined us in this trip, but he was too busy working."

"No offense, Emily," Kyle began to reply bluntly. "but he's working on getting laid while you're away. I hear tell that y'all don't get along more than you do, and word is that it's because he's busy dipping his pen in other girls' ink. Nobody else is really brave enough to tell you, but this is the first taste of my famous 'pure honestly' agenda that I use. In all honestly, he's a sleazeball and you probably deserve better."

He watched the numbers rack up on the digital screens. He hadn't seen numbers this high increasing as fast as they were since his last game of pinball. There wasn't much else to do besides relish the moment, hear the cars go by on the street, and hope that Emily wouldn't immediately hate him for spilling the beans that everyone else was already eating.

"I..." I muttered, being hit with this unexpected news. Was it really a surprise? I had been suspecting such a thing for a while, as I wasn't exactly deaf to rumors. Still, hearing someone tell you such a thing so bluntly can hit you pretty hard. I hard trouble deciding what to say and in the end, slowly nodded as I pulled the nuzzle out of the car. "I think it's done." I said, getting inside to my seat and putting on the seat belt. I glanced around to see that everybody was still asleep, or at least acting the part incredibly well.

As we drove by, I realized that it wasn't anybody's fault. I had a feeling that Kyle wasn't the least bit lying, as Tyler would often finding himself working 'late hour' or going 'on a trip'. The whole concept of him going around behind my back sickened me to the core. How would have he liked it?

I shook off the anger out of my system, at least until I see Tyler and confront him about him. "Hey Kyle?" I said as he drove the van "Thanks for being so honest."

Kyle didn't feel bad that she was suddenly overwhelmed with grief; he was trying to make small talk, but assumed that he had failed miserably. It was pretty obvious, as she became very quiet and kept to herself; she was upset, but Kyle didn't want to try and make it worse by trying to make it better. People need space sometimes, and this was one of them. After a 400-mile car ride and no sleep, the last thing anyone would want to do was talk. As he pulled into the hotel parking lot, she decided to break the ice.

"Thanks for being so honest."

"Yeah, well," he tried to think of something to say. "It's not your fault, you know."

"It's not your fault, you know."

I nodded as I stared out of the window, noticing the rain as it fell from the skies. "Maybe it isn't so bad knowing" I said, keeping my eyes outside as we drove into the hotel parking lot "At least now I know that the relationship really isn't worth saving." One by one, our passengers began to wake up. "Well, looks like we're here." I said, stating the obvious and I unbuckled my belt.

Everyone else began to wake up. Tommy was the one in charge of getting the rooms, so he left with only his girlfriend to get things figured out at the front desk. It was late, and Kyle was beginning to feel how late it was. He rubbed his eyes gently as he tried to focus on anything to keep himself awake; in motion, it wasn't so hard, but while sitting still with nothing to do, falling asleep was easier than sleeping itself. He struggled for a good ten minutes before Tommy came back with three plastic keys wrapped in the paperwork.

"Alright, boys and girls, myself and Erica get room 106, James and Courtney get 107, and Kyle and Emily get 108. They're the cheap single beds, so unless you want to sleep with me or pitch in for doubles, JAMES, you stfu bro."

Kyle halfway listened as they climbed back in. He started the van and began pulling around to where Tommy wound up pointing during his speech, as to say, 'this is where we're supposed to be'. Kyle found a spot directly in front of the trio of rooms. They clamored out of the van that had tried to force their butts to grow roots into the seats, and began unloading their gear.

"Listen, if you don't like this setup, I can arrange something with Tommy," he whispered to Emily in the chaos.

Looked like I had to be sharing with Kyle. It wasn't that I didn't trust him, but wouldn't it have been simpler to just pair me up with Erica? Or Courtney? But of course, I realized that Tommy and Erica were a couple that couldn't stand to be separated for more than an instant. Courtney and James were about the same thing- So it was only natural that I'd end with Kyle. Oh well.

"Listen, if you don't like this setup, I can arrange something with Tommy," he whispered into my ear, as I nearly gasped. Something about whispers really go to me when I was with Tyler- I shook off such thoughts. I wasn't going to let the dirtbag get the best of me. "No no, it's fine." I said. "Come on, let's check out our room!" I then suggested.

He wanted to ask her if she was sure that she was fine with it, but she was more excited about seeing the room. He handed her the key card and followed with his scrappy duffel bag filled with clothes and toiletries. He followed her up to a door with the giant brass numbers '108' nailed into it, watched her slide it through til the control panel beeped, and followed her through the open door. He threw his bag down next to the large bed and quickly began sliding his way toward the bathroom as she checked out the small details of it all.

"I'm gonna be in here for a little while, okay? You bring your stuff in and then we'll figure something out."

"I'm gonna be in here for a little while, okay? You bring your stuff in and then we'll figure something out."

I nodded with a smile. "Sure, I don't have much stuff to bring, so I won't be out all that long." That said, I went out and James handed over to me my bags, having all that I need for our trip. I wasn't too worried on money, as I had my credit cards waiting for me. Anyway, I made my way to the room and practically jumped on the bed.

"You know, this isn't so bad."
I said, getting comfortable already.

He flushed his epic battle and washed his hands, eventually exiting the bathroom just to hear her say,

"You know, this isn't so bad."

"Everything except the bathroom. Don't go in there until I get that Febreezed."

He leaned up against an extended wall that led to the bathroom, feeling the tension in the air between them grow as they let the moment age. He took a deep breath and offered another solution.

"If you can do without a pillow, I guess I can sleep on the floor."

"Everything except the bathroom. Don't go in there until I get that Febreezed."

I chuckled at that, perhaps more than I should have as I closed my eyes and relaxed a bit. Though, I knew that Kyle was still there, probably wondering as to where he would sleep. With a sigh, I heard him suggest:

"If you can do without a pillow, I guess I can sleep on the floor."

I sat up a bit to see him and wondered just what to do. After all, it just wouldn't feel right to have him sleep on the floor, while I get the bed. But then on the other hand, I'd hate to sleep on the floor myself. I patted on the bed and said "Nonsense, you can sleep here too. Just you know, no funny business." I said with a laugh.

Kyle decided to try a different tactic.

"You know, in my experience" he began approaching the bed. "usually whenever a girl tells me they don't want any funny business," he sat down next to her and placed his hand on her thigh. "it means they want some funny business." He guided his hand through her hair and observed her. "I've always thought you were really pretty, you know. If I made a move on you, would you tell Tyler?"

"You know, in my experience usually whenever a girl tells me they don't want any funny business, it means they want some funny business." he said as his hand touched my thigh and another ran through my hair "I've always thought you were really pretty, you know. If I made a move on you, would you tell Tyler?"

My heart leaped at his very sudden advances. It seemed to have arrived out of nowhere but I'd be lying if I told myself I was intrigued. Tyler was cheating on me, perhaps at this very instant and here Kyle was, about to make a move on me. Maybe it was out of vengeance or maybe I really did want it as I spoke "No. Why would I?"

"Well, I didn't want to act out of turn if you didn't agree with what I wanted," he scooted in closer, wrapping his arm around her shoulder. "but I'll have you know that I get what I want in the long run." He leaned in and began to kiss her neck and cheek lightly as his other hand began rubbing up and down her thigh. "You ever heard the expression 'eye for an eye'?"

"but I'll have you know that I get what I want in the long run." he said, coming on closer and began to kiss my neck ever so gently. God that felt so good, but was it right? I asked myself that as he continued, kissing my cheek as he rubbed my thigh. Against my better judgement, I believe that I may have moaned just slightly.

"You ever heard the expression 'eye for an eye'?" he said, relentlessly kissing my neck. "Yes..." I said quietly "I know the expression."
