Just keep trying, Rob... keeping putting the energy out there...

If for no other reason than to find a lady willing to place herself in the position in your AV, I intend too. ;)

Update.

Have a meeting for coffee with a woman this afternoon.

Should be interesting.

That's pretty much the standard first meeting. That or lunch. Good luck.

Just be yourself, Rob. She can't help but love you! :rose:

Do NOT waste your money on eharmony.com, unless you are under 29. :(
Best of luck today, Rob!

Here is one observation, and please don't construe it as advice, even though I've framed it as such;
I've been listening to my sister's stories about the same hunt. She is as depressed as you are.
Watch your body language- When she talks, turn to face her... The women are in the same predicament as you are, they are feeling battered and unwanted too. They are incredibly sensitive to any sign of disinterest or disdain, very defensive.

Sounds like sound advice.

I hope Rob's having a good time! :rose:

I did. :)

Nice woman. Very smart. I was a bit worried because she's a lawyer and studying for an MBA. We might have had highly differing political and philosophical views.

Wasn't the case, we're very similar. And she says she's dropping the MBA course. She finds it kind of, hmm, empty from the sounds of it.

Thanks Stella. I did. As well as I was able. I'm afraid I'm kind of the twitchy type when face to face, always looking around. But when I caught myself, I made sure to look back. I think I managed to avoid looking like I was ignoring her.

We've got tentative plans to meet again.

I like her. And I think she likes me. From writing stories, I've learned, somewhat, to interpret body language. I think her's was positive.

So, looks like things are going well.

That does sound good so far, Rob. If she has a law degree, an MBA seems rather redundant,m unless it is an accounting or tax specialty.

yay!
have you any other dates coming up? don't stop with just this one, please!

We've tentatively set another meeting. No time or place yet, just said we'd like to meet again.

Box, I'm not sure, but I think she's kind of put the law behind her. From what we talked about, it sounds like she's been wandering for a while. She was teaching in Germany for a while, and after that had some public service job on some small island in the Caribbean.

So we may be at much the same point in our lives.

Like I said, looking good.

No, baby, I meant with other ladies!

Ah.

Nope. Do have someone visiting in May though. :D

Not sure if that counts as a date as she'll be here for a week. ;)

She sounds like a pretty fascinating person. Just like you. :rose:

Good luck for when you see her again.

An update.

I'm pretty much dropping this idea.

I haven't had anyone get in touch with me for months.

I hardly ever go to the site to check on what they've determined are 'my matches'. They aren't. They're always looking for someone normal and I'm not. The horrifying level of grammar, vocabulary and spelling doesn't turn my crank either.

I'll leave my profile up. Maybe something will happen.

But I'm not wasting any more energy on this.

Sigh.
