Would you visit the General Board more if a separate political board were created for the clearly political threads? If the GB no longer allowed these threads would you be more inclined to visit us?

No. It's the political threads that define the GB. Take that away and the GB would be just like the PG. Pretty much just more of the same.

IMO, a separate place for the political stuff is a waste of time. I just don't think it'll end the political bickering that goes on in the GB. It will probably help stem the tide of idiot posts like the ones bunny does, fatassjerryinflorida, or other nutjobs.. but you're not gonna stop the snide commenting that goes on unless everyone is banned for doing so on the "new" GB.

There's a lot of assholey behavior on the GB and I've been very guilty of it myself. It's not just on the political threads. People are much more likely to say the really shitty stuff openly there, which doesn't happen so much here on the PG. Ever since ravi got knocked down a bit, I don't think there's been anyone to replace him. But there are many on the GB that are as bad or worse..and not only does that intimidate people on the PG, but it cuts into the time spent talking about sex.

Just an aside, the free speech thing is still very much in place. I don't think you will ever get the snark from the GB. Or maybe that's just my hope.
