Yeah, I agree about the noise. I live in a senior apartment complex, with meals provided in a dining room setting. Many of the diners are older and very hard of hearing. Consequently, the conversation noise level is very high and dissonant for me. So, I have been taking my Bose sound canceling headphones with me, plugging into my iPad for light music, and dining in peace. I get a few funny looks, but then many of the diners are idiosyncratic in their own ways, and I get a measure of peace with my dinner. My ears, my headphones.
