That is always the risk you take when you tell a story on a public space.
You would get the same reaction if you'd posted it to the stories section. Someone might show up at your blog and ask the same questions that I've asked.
yes, the woman has just as much responsibility as you do-- but she isn't the one telling the story. Even if you made it clear that she, or you, sluffed off, at least that would provide an explanation. Just make sure you tie the loose ends, that's all. Readers hate loose ends. They hate loose ends worse than they hate unhappy endings.
I understand that, but the fact of the matter is that there *are* loose ends, none of which do I have any power to affect. It's a bummer if readers are disappointed, but I'm not willing to sacrifice the integrity of what's true just so people can feel comfortable
