A Silly Old Romantic...

I was wondering when you were going to check in...Welcome my freind.

There are three great romances, stories unfolding, of deep love and commitment (don't start AA!!!) here, in my eyes.

You and Jenny. Soron and Arden. AA and toni.

All at different stages of the journey, but there. I'm happy for you. Don't be a stranger from the thread. ^5 and shake your hand.

However,Iwouldnt call being a romantic silly,
i received the greatest reward
when jenny entered my world and my heart!!!
I agree with you about the other 2 couples.
of their deep love and commitment.
These 4 four friends of mine are wonderful.
I think i will be as happy as they are,
when they finally can share each and every moment together

You are right about them all being at different stages, our seems to be going so much slower, but you know what? We have taken this time to REALLY get to know each other and to share our lives in this way. We talk on the phone at least once a week and we talk about everything, from what happened at work, to illnesses, things going on with my kid, to the things his crazy dog or Daniel's dog does. We discuss the weather, hockey and of course, you know AA, he is always giving me such a hard time! He makes me laugh all the time! I love our talks. I never want to hang up the phone. Sometimes I am so tired from working the night before and not saying much and even yawning, I try not to do that and finally he will make me hang up so I can get some rest! And I think that once we DO get to the next stages our love is going to be so much stronger than if we had hooked up right from the start!

Edited to add it is like my mom always taught me anything worth having is worth waiting for!

That way works.The minute we met face to face it was like we already knew each other forever.Our eyes met,our hearts
sang and our soul finally was whole,because it was not like 2 soulmates meeting but one soul becoming whole.Dont worry about the time thing,when it is right,I know it will happen.Dont worry if others say differently,the only people that matter is AA and you.

Oman, the referance to silly goes to the eternal pessimest in me.
My hearts been down so long the only direction is up. That has changed, as I've opened up again. A freind told me last week, as we talked, how far I've come in the last 6 months...she's right.

I was coming up on my 3k post this last week, AA jumped in and put me over the top, I saw Soron's post about getting together with Arden and it inspired me to post my 3k in a poem to them.

I danced with joy for them. Of course being on the fuck thread, that's inspiration too!!!

wraps my loving arms around you, hold you close as I whisper quietly in your ear, deep hurts tend to follow us all though the ages of time, only when we allow ourselves the freedom of loving as fully as we can do we free ourselves from them.. understanding that the past is the past and we can't change it, for its long gone, BUT, to open ones heart and take a chance on tomorrow, now thats a whole differnet story YES you can still find the same pain and heart ache, and your correct I do not know yours, but answer me this .. which is better to love and loose or to never have known that love at all??
with each we learn something new, pain well it comes because we do care, because it does make a differance to us.. when the pain stops!! heavens forbid we no longer matter!
our ability to love is what sets us apart
our ability to forgive, allows us to go on and love again.. be not afraid of it, but walk boldly into it, know that you have learned something along the way and this time its going to be different..
and when you feel like you cant go on! grab a friend and wrap yourself into there embrace, take some strength from them and Go on!!
