A Song for Everything

Heading

Today is a "Celebration Day," so the song fits.

"Oh, there is a train that leaves the station
 Heading for your destination
But the price you pay to nowhere has increased a dollar more"

Sold your soul

Legend has it that Robert Johnson did sell his soul to the devil and afterwards changed from a mediocre musician to one of the great guitarists of his generation.

Definitely a highly recognizable space song! 👍👍

Movie Theme

Coming back down into the earth's atmosphere, but still in the danger zone, there's this iconic movie song.

I absolutely loved Clint Eastwood's spaghetti westerns, and that was the best theme song of the bunch.

Movie Theme

Going into inner space, the emotional zone, here is one I've always liked.

Movie Theme

I painted a full sized Pink Panther on the outside of my college dorm door one year. He was holding a cigarette holder, like in the intro, and a champagne glass. I was proud of how it turned out. Coolest door in the dorm.

I was 10 when Deliverance came out. My stepdad brought me and my older stepbrother to see it. That movie scared the living shit out of me. I was a little too young for it. Had my mom known more about it, there's no way she would have allowed me to go. I wasn't too young to understand what happened to Ned Beatty out there in the woods, though. I did really like this song. I was a pop music kid at the time, loved top 40 radio and the Beatles, but this song caught my ear. It was probably the root of what became a my later appreciation for country and bluegrass.
