Brady woke up less than two hours after he'd fallen asleep on Serena's couch. After a quick trip to the downstairs bathroom to empty the contents of his stomach into the porcelain goddess, he stopped in the kitchen and poured himself a glass of water. He sipped the water slowly as he tried to decide what to do. He knew he could go upstairs and slip into bed with Serena if he wanted. She certainly wouldn't turn him out. Or her could go home and hope and pray that he wouldn't run into his sister or her boyfriend.
Of course there was a third option, he realized as he finished the glass of water. He could go back to the bar and get even drunker than he already was. Maybe with enough alcohol he could actually wash away the memories of what had happened between he and Amanda, or at the very least, forget about the noises that he'd heard coming from her bedroom before he'd left.
In the end, option three won out. Fifteen minutes later, Brady stepped into a bar a few blocks away from Serena's house, determined to be catatonic as soon as humanly possible.
