Alex was some kind of drug. One of those slow acting drugs that takes control of everything and leaves you a big mass of writhing emotions. "I don't know what I liked more. Dessert or you." I teased. "I might be leaning towards the tart." I told him, my tone of voice and smile letting him know that I was lying. The back of her mind reminded her that she as in the middle of a public park with a man that she had just met today and I was acting like a wanton slut.
"Thank you." I took a nice long drink and hoped that it would help calm my sudden butterflies. I laid back and made sure to place my glass somewhere it wouldn't get spilled. There was a war battling inside of me and I didn't know what side I wanted to win. "I must think I'm horrible indecisive." I told Alex looking up at him. I felt like I needed a compass with this man and the worst of it he was the stable one just sitting there, everything displayed so honestly on his face. "Would you tell me the truth if I asked you a question?"
