A Thief's Seduction (Closed)

"Alex!" His name cried out as he thrust into me. My hand clenched the edges of the tub glad for the beveled corners. Water from the tub made waves that splashed over the sides and joined the droplets on the floor that had fell from my body. His body pounded into mine and I rocked back to get every inch of him.

His voice tickled over my skin and this words spurred me on. Yes, I was his horny, dirty girl. I wanted to tell him but his every thrust pushed the air from my lungs. Yes I love it! The words were unable to form as my pleasure grew and crashed down on me. My arms locked on against the tub bracing my body to take what Alex gave me. There were these soft crying mews of sounds coming from somewhere and it was only after my pussy stopped spasming that I realized that the noise had come from me.

It was a powerful release but I could feel another one building quickly behind it. I wasn't used to dirty talk but I had loved it when Alex had talked to me and now with my voice back I at least answered his questions. "Yes, I'm your horny, dirty girl." I moaned. "And I love the feel of you inside me." I easily confessed moving my hips against to heighten the please for both of us. "Do whatever you want to me, please." I wanted him to take every advantage that I gave him to make him feel better. I wanted to make him cum again. I didn't care where he did it this time, in me, on me, it didn't matter.

I felt her body tighten around my cock. It was amazing. It seemed my words had been effective. I saw her grip the tub and was glad to have her supporting herself like that because it let me really go at her. My hips never stopped moving. My length speared into her and every moment was intense. The pleasure was building up fast. I didn't care that I was making waves that spilled out onto the floor.

Suddenly I felt her hit a climax and it drove me wild. I moaned loudly at the feeling of her spasming around me. I enjoyed every moment of it, but didn't slow for an instant. The sound she made was really hot and really sexy. When she seemed to recover I just kept going. I heart her cry out in response to what I had said and that just made me nearly lose it. Her body moved with mine and it made it all even better. With her gripping the tub I didn't need my hands on her hips so I decided to move them. One slid under her and attacked her clit. The other moved forward and under to go after her breasts. It also meant I was leaned over her a little again. I was getting close and knew it wouldn't be long. I got out some words again. "I knew you loved it baby. I love it too. So much. You're going to make me explode. I want you to cum with me."

Alex was relentless and just as I was beginning to breath as normally as I could he leaned over and played with my clit. It made my body jump and I moved my hips frantically. My body was shivering and this hand at my breast added to the fire burning at my core.

"Yes, please." I begged him pushing back with my arms to greedily take as much of him that I could. His hand rubbed against my clit again and I knew a few more thrusts and I would cum. "I'm going to cum." I told him. "Please let me cum." I was asking permission as I tried to hold back the powerful waves.

I found that I loved making her react to me. I could feel her body shaking and knew just how much she was enjoying it. I was enjoying it every bit as much as she was. I knew that it was just a matter of seconds before her body finished me off. At her request I grinned for an instant before the expression of pure pleasure took over my features again. I let out another moan and it was the only response I could give. My mind was elsewhere.

A few thrusts later I lost it. There was no more control. I cried out just as I felt my cock swell inside her for a split second. My hips did not stop as I reached my peak. I released and pumped my cum into her. After two deep thrusts into her and two big shots my body twitched just as I was nearly out of her. It caused me to slip out and my next thrust found my length sliding over her ass. This made more of my seed shoot out over her back and ass. I was able to control my movements enough to quickly get myself back inside her as I rode out the last few waves of pleasure.

I heard Alex moan and knew he was close and I moved my body faster back on his. My entire body stilled and the only thing that moved was the walls of my pussy as they milked and squeezed Alex's dick. My head was hot and the heat traveled down my body leaving waves of chills behind it. My mouth hung open and I moaned and cried out at every thrust, his pounding adding to the waves of my breaking climax.

Alex was cumming, I felt the warm spill of his seed and I arched my back and lifted my hips for more but between my movement and his, he slipped out and I cried out my dismay and felt the hot ropes of cum land over my ass and back and it stopped my cries. And I sighed happy when he put it back inside of me.

My strength was leaving me but I managed to brace against my arms and look back over my should to the white lines of his seed over my skin. It was hot and a last shiver rolled down my back.

I was completely relaxed and wanted nothing more then to relax in the tub with Alex until the water chilled then moved to the bed where he could hold me all night long.

I felt myself recover slowly from my climax and took a few breaths to get my heart rate down. I smiled at her as she looked back over her shoulder. Leaning forward I met her lips with mine and kissed her tenderly. With a grin I let out a laugh. "Well it looked like our bath together really led to you getting dirtier. I guess we will have to wash this off now, but that is up to you." I kissed her again and slowly pulled my softening length out of her. I instantly missed the feeling of her hot walls wrapped around me, but it would have happened eventually.

I moved and sat back in the tub. I watched her with interest to see if she would bother to wash her back and ass right away. I felt she looked sexy and satisfied and that it was just another symbol of that. Eventually she would have to clean up again, but I wouldn't mind at all if she waited. The water was still warm and we hadn't caused too much to spash onto the floor. I took her hand and pulled her toward me so I could hold her as we relaxed in the tub together. When she was close enough I kissed her again.

It was so easy to be around Alex and I laughed with him looking at my back again. "So it seems." It might have been weird but I liked the look of it on my skin. "I would rather keep it but I don't want to get you messy with it." I said with a little frown as I felt Alex leave me. I hopped out of the tub and using toilet paper wiped it off and flushed it down the toilet and returned to the tub as quickly as I could. Without the warm water and Alex's warm body goosebumps covered my skin when I sunk back into the water.

The moment I was back Alex pulled me to him and I leaned back into his bod glad for the warmth of him and the water. We kissed and it was sweet and tender. "Ah." I sighed relaxed and at ease. I tried to think of a better night but couldn't. "This has been one of the greatest of my life." It was almost as good as pulling off a huge payout flawlessly. There was a moment of silence as I thought about that and then I had to disagree with myself. It was as good as the rush of a finished job.

I closed my eyes and hummed a wordless lullaby that my Mother used to sing to me when I was a small child. I wasn't aware I was doing it and would have been worried that I let my guard down to share such a private memory with Alex. My arm raised out of the water and the background sound of my humming and the slow dripping of water that collected at my elbow added to the sound.

I smiled as we relaxed there together. It was really comfortable. When she spoke I was a little confused, not quite sure what she meant. But there were a few options and all of them were good things. I was happy that she was enjoying herself with me. When she started humming it made me relax even more. My eyes drifted shut and I closed out all thoughts and everything else except for her. I didn't think much of it. It sounded like a lullaby, but that wasn't important. I didn't realise how personal it was.

I relaxed there with her until the water got cold. Every so often I kissed her wherever I could. When it was too cold to stay in the water any longer I sat up and moved so I could kiss her lips. When I finally pulled back again I smiled. "I think it is time to go get comfortable and warm on the bed again." After carefully getting out of the tub I helped her out as well. Once the plug was pulled I got us both towels and wrapped one around her. My eyes stayed on her as I dried myself off. I knew that this had been the best night of my life and that I would get to sleep next to the most wonderful woman I had ever met. I was quite sure it would be the best sleep I'd ever had as well.

I was shivering but I didn't want to leave his body and the comfort it provided and was more then glad when he talked about moving to the bed. I didn't know why but part of me was expecting him to tell me that the night and then say goodbye as he pushed me out the door. Alex helped me out of the tub and wrapped me in a towel that I snuggled into making a poor effort at drying myself. "My toes are all pruned." I smiled wiggling my toes and then looking at my fingers. They were pruned too and I made a guess that his would be as well.

"I didn't realized how cold the water had gotten until I stepped out of it." I said finally moving the towel over my body to catch the drops of water that clung to my skin. When everything was dry but the tips of my hair I moved to stand next to Alex. I kissed him softly on the cheek and smiled. My hand reached out from under the towel and took his hand and left the bathroom to his bed.

Once there I unwrapped the towel from his body and it let drop to the ground where my soon joined it. I kissed a trail along his jaw bone to his chin then down his neck. When I reached the hallow of his next I stopped and replaced my body with the towel, hugging him. I felt guilty for the things that would follow this night and wanted to show him that it was special to me with tenderness. I was too tired for anything more then that and looked up to stare into his eyes. My mouth opened but when nothing came out I closed it and smiled shyly.

I kissed him once more then crawled into his bed knowing that I would be long gone before the morning when he woke up.

I grinned as she pointed out how wrinkled her toes had become. I glanced down seeing mine were the same. I quickly dried myself off and made sure there was no moisture left. At least as much as I could. I wrapped it around my body and watched her as she finally dried herself off. If I wasn't exhausted at that point the sight would have likely made me want her again. But i knew we were both too tired for that. I took her hand when she offered it and let her pull me into the bedroom.

I smiled at her, feeling my towel come off. My arms wrapped around her loosely and I looked into her eyes. Her kisses brought a content sigh out of me and I relaxed. Her embrace was warm and made me really happy. It felt like the perfect end to our evening together. Something in the back of my mind kept trying to alert me to something, but I just couldn't figure it out and didn't want to. Our eyes met and I just smiled at her happily.

I followed her into my bed and got close to her. I reached my hand down and pulled the sheets over our bodies. With an arm wrapped around her I pulled her in close. I placed a soft kiss to her lips and got myself settled for the night. As far as I could see it nothing could ruin the evening we'd shared. It was completely perfect and so was she. I could already picture us as a couple. That was the image in my mind as I drifted off to sleep laying there next to her. It didn't take long for me to be asleep with an arm loosely draped over her and my body lightly against her.

I knew when Alex fell asleep. I felt it in his body and heard it in his deep and even breathing. I had to work now but I didn't want to go. I wanted to stay and fall asleep in his arms to wake up in the morning and the first thing I see is his face. But I knew myself better then that. If I fell asleep now I wouldn't get up in time to do all the things that I needed and the whole job would be ruined.

Thoughts of my elderly parents helped get me out of bed and away from Alex's warm body. I have laid there for another hour and just listened to him sleep. "I'm sorry." I mouthed silently. I stood there guilt tearing me up inside. He was so sweet and nice. I wanted to forget how special and perfect he made our time together but I couldn't.

I would have cried then if I was weaker but I didn't have time to and I collected my things. Finding his piled of clothes I dug thru Alex's wallet and pants pockets for his employee ID by the faint light of my watch. When I found it I moved out of the room and as far away from the bedroom as I could and took a picture of it. The flash of my camera lit up the room for what seemed like a whole minute but only lasted a fraction of a second. I checked the quality of the picture and nodded. With quick silent steps I went back into the bedroom and replaced everything with eidetic memory, down to the fold of his pants as they heaped into a pile.

Why did my heart feel so heavy? I spared one more look at the still sleeping man and felt myself return to his bedside but didn't dare anything closer. I couldn't see the features of his face but I knew every inch of it. I wanted to reach out and fell the rough growth of hair on his jaw bone, the fullness of his lips but it was too dangerous to disturb him. "Bye." My lips moved but no sound came out and I waved as I left his room.

As I rounded the kitchen I remembered the paper pad near the phone and wrote a quick letter and went back to his bed and placed it on the far side of the pillow where he wouldn't roll over it and wake.

Alex-
I'm sorry about having to leave before you wake up but the duties of a maid of honor demands that I be there to make sure everything is perfect. Like our night was.
I know I've said it more then once but thank you. I couldn't have dreamed of a better day then the one we shared together.
Don't work too hard tomorrow and look for me. I'll be smiling because of you.
-Eden

I didn't know what lead me to leave a letter but as the front door closed quietly behind me it made me feel better. I knew the chances of him seeing me tomorrow were slim to none but I wanted to leave him with something to hope for even if it was cruel of me.

The cold air of the night bit into my skin as I ran down the streets to where my car was parked. I had lots to do and little time to do them in.

7:10 am
T. Blanchard was late in leaving today and it was making me jumpy. Anything out of the ordinary on the day of a job was reason enough to freak out but I was a professional and knew my job. I walked towards the Royal Ballroom with a arm full of flowers in a dress of a similar color. I knew the layout of the hotel and knew that the closest most direct out of the way path to Mr. Blanchard's room and with the ID that I fashioned in the wee hours of the night I was sure that I could make it without detection. The riskiest part was walking thru the lobby.

During the night I hardly stirred at all. I didn't feel her leaving my side and didn't hear anything as she moved around my apartment. I just lay there with a smile on my face, not knowing that my life was about to turn upside down. In the morning I woke up and opened my eyes. I saw the empty space next to me and it felt as if someone had punched me in the chest. Punched me and then stabbed me in the heart. After an evening as perfect as the one we had shared she had left. I looked at the clock and it was just after seven in the morning. She had left early.

A minute later I found the note and read it carefully. It was sweet. She claimed to have enjoyed the evening as much as he had, but he saw no reason why even as maid of honour she would need to leave so early. Still, it did ease the pain a little. I still felt horrible and used, but had hope that maybe something could still happen. I slowly got out of bed and showered before getting dressed. There wasn't a trace of Eden in my entire apartment and it made my heart heavy. Even if I had been used by her I still felt strongly about her. I couldn't help missing her and wanting to be with her.

As the morning went on I slowly got myself ready to go to work. I could only hope that I might see her after the wedding reception at some point. I left early to get to the hotel. My shift wasn't set to start for quite a while, but the longer I spent there the better my chance of seeing her. It was all I had. I wanted to see her to at least find out if she actually did care about me or if I had been used.

Logically I knew Alex wouldn't be there yet but it didn't stop me from looking for him as I quickly crossed the lobby and rounded the corner. He wasn't there or I didn't see him and there was a slight pull at the corners of my fake smile as I rounded the corner. I felt sad and guilty. It wasn't the first time that I wish it and I felt myself wandering down the 'what-if' road again. What if I had stayed. What if I didn't do this and left everything behind? What if I brought him home? What if- What if- What if!

"Argah!" I cursed out loud. I wasn't in the right mind set as I strolled into the Royal Ballroom. The set up team was already here and I blended in with them straightening up center pieces, evening out table cloths and tucking in stay bits as I crossed to the back service doors. It would be a rush of people there but she had hid a change of clothes that wouldn't draw as much attention as a dress and high heels. The bathroom at the end of the hall provided a place to change and in no time I was in the jumpsuit of the cleaning crews here.

Hallway, left turn, right, flight of stairs, hallway and repeat in various sequences. The next tricky part and probably my favorite was the sneaking as I made my way to T. Blanchard's floor.

***

I was back in the Royal Ballroom in my dress and high heels smiling at random people. The job had been pulled off flawlessly and taped to my thigh was the coins. I looked at my watch, I had about two minutes before anyone would catch on to what had happened. I can clear here before then, I thought a large smile making my face glow. With this money I would be able to retire and take came of my parents and move them away from the chilly fishing town that I was born to.

The door quietly closed behind me and the music with it faded off with every step that down the hall. I knew that I could never come back and this was the only time that I regretted that as I thought of Alex and the perfect night we had together. It was a shame. The smile turned to a frown but I continued around the corner with confident strides.

When I arrived at the hotel I began looking around for Eden to see if maybe she was there. When I couldn't find her I figured that she was at the ceremony. I knew that the reception wasn't happening much later. I waited around until it was time for my shift to begin. I dressed in my uniform and got ready. When my shift began it was business as usual. I didn't get the chance to see the wedding party enter the hotel and there was no excuse for me to go to the ballroom.

As the day went on I lost hope for seeing Eden again. It seemed that my questions would go unanswered. I started to get unhappier. I was ready to go on break and just try to clear my head when a call came from the ballroom. Apparently one of the wedding guests got drunk and had started to make a scene and they were afraid of violence. One of the guards was there already and needed me for back up, just in case a fight broke out and we needed to restrain two people. I quickly started down the hall to get to the ballroom.

I was reaching a corner when suddenly Eden turned around it and faced me. I stopped dead in my tracks and looked right at her. She seemed to be in a bit of a rush. I had not expected to see her this way. I needed to go help my coworker, but my curiosity was just too strong. I needed to talk to her. "E...Eden." I tried to go on. I tried to ask her to explain why she had left. I tried to form any kind of sentence, but the words were not there. I simply stared at her and hoped she would speak to me.

"Alex." My heart leapt at the sight of him. I didn't think I would get a chance to see him again. "I'm so glad to see you." I smiled and felt the need to hug him or something but just reached out with a single hand to touch his forearm. "Did you get my letter? I'm sorry I had to leave. I had to double check with the caterers, flower people and band..." I listed but didn't feel like lying anymore.

In the back of my mind I kept track of how much time I had left and it wasn't much. "I just want you to know how special last night was for me. I've never had a night like that before. Do you- What I mean is-" I took his hand and lead him over towards the exit but stopped near one of the large decorative plants that gave us a sense of privacy. I hugged him then and tilted my head up and pressed my lips to his.

Last night I wasn't sure why I had scrubbed my phone clean or why I programmed one of my other numbers in it but as I leaned my body into Alex's I knew he was the reason. I wanted to give him a way to find me if he wanted. I needed a hope that I would hear his voice again. And with practiced ease I took my phone out of my handbag and slipped it into his pocket. "I'm sorry." I whispered breaking the kiss. "I hope that doesn't get you into trouble." I blushed knowing that there were other things that would and that this would be the least of his worries when the card house fell. "I just needed to kiss you, to let you know that last night was real for me." I kissed his cheek and held him for a moment longer.

"The bride needs something from the limo..." It was a lie and even though there was a smile on my lips my eyes were sad. "I better hurry before she yells at me." I let Alex go and felt like that was the last time I would touch him. "I'll see you around?" I asked backing away from him and towards the front doors. 45 seconds... I couldn't wait for an answer and turned looking once more over my shoulder before leaving.

The limo waited for me and it was out of sight of the entryway so I didn't worry that Alex would see the limo drive away instead of me coming back out. When we merged on the the highway I felt a tear roll down my face. One night with a guy and I was crying over him. I shook my head, I was getting too emotional to still be doing this. I changed cars twice and back tracked more then once before being dropped off at a storage building where I kept a car and a change of clothes. My apartment that I was staying in while I was here had been cleaned from top to bottom and held no evidence of me.

The rolling doors opened and inside was a run of the mill Honda CRV and I closed the doors behind me. The storage room was kept under a different name and I changed into jeans and a shirt and sneakers. I had a ticket to London and I would unload the coins there. I wrapped them in bounce back paper and tucked them into a folded seam pocket on my carry on bag. "Time to go." I sighed opening the door before leaving. I had the space for another three months then someone would cut the locks and find an empty storage area.

"We will be landing in London ahead of schedule. The time there is..."

I stopped listening. I was gone again and I had the jack pot of a life time. I should have been exultant but my thought were on Alex and what he was going thru right about now.

When she touched my arm it was calming. She did seem happy to see me. She explained why she had to leave, but deep down I had a hard time with it. I had no idea why else she would have left so early though and then been so happy to see me. I didn't see any look that would tell me otherwise. She wiped away all my doubts when she pulled me behind the plant. My arms wrapped around her as she pulled me close and when our lips met all the perfect memories of the night before flooded back and I couldn't doubt her.

When our lips parted I just smiled at her. I was left in silence as she finally pulled away from me. My heart ached seeing her leave, somehow it felt like the last time I would see her, though I didn't know why. I was going to the ballroom and would probably see her when she returned with whatever she was getting. I gave a silent waveas she made it to the doors and then I turned and went toward the ballroom to do my job.

I made it to the ballroom and saw the scene unfolding. There was the drunk guest and another was getting quite agitated. I had arrived just in time to hold back the other man. Working together with the other guard we pulled both men into the hall and then in opposite directions. The one I was dealing with had calmed down after getting away from the drunk. I left him to talk to my superior and then returned to the ballroom to see how things were going in there. When I arrived I saw no trace of Eden anywhere.

I didn't have time to look around or to ask questions because a moment later someone grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the ballroom. It was one of the guards, but they looked very unhappy. Without a word of explaination I was dragged back to the main guard office. Once there I was pushed into a seat. My boss walked in and he looked angry. I just looked at him in confusion. He started speaking to me as if he was speaking to a criminal. "Don't act dumb. We know what just happened and what you have done."

Just then a police officer entered. My boss turned to speak to him while extending a finger in my direction. "Arrest this man for theft."

That was all the explaination I got as a moment later I was pulled to my feet and had my arms cuffed behind me. I was led out of the hotel through back hallways and out a service entrance. I was read my rights and pushed into the back of a police car. I was really confused and had no idea what to do. I didn't even know what they were claiming I stole. There was no explaination even as I was processed in the police station. Everything I had was taken except my clothes. I was stuck wearing my uniform. I was led into a cell where I sat, wondering what had happened to get me there. Nothing made any sense at all and I ran through the events of the day over and over in my mind, trying to come up with any sort of clue.

"Looks like you got away clean. A guard was arrested for the theft. Congratulations." Vance smirked pride showing in his eyes as if he was the one to pull it off.

It turned my stomach. I had a good idea as to who the guard was and I shifted uncomfortably in front of Vance. "Will the man serve jail time?"

"Does it matter?" He laughed sliding the laptop over to Stalina. "Come on gal what's with the attitude."

I wasn't going to tell Vance and gave him the smile that he wanted. "Giddy, yippy, al-right." She sighed looking at the information on the screen. All the funds had been transferred to her account.

"Are you really retiring?"

I nodded my head yes. "I don't need anything more then this." I closed the laptop shut. "I'm going home and just relax and care for my family."

Vance was quite. "I've never worked with someone as skilled as you. It's going to suck to lose you."

I didn't agree but why say anything. "See ya never Vance." I waved as I left the large office of the high class office. Back out on the street I waved a taxi and rechecked my phone. There wasn't any texts or missed calls and I guess that was because he had gotten arrested and hadn't found the phone I dropped in his pocket yet. Or maybe he just did't want to talk to me.

I was sure that once they replayed thru the security tape they would see that Alex wasn't anywhere near the top floor. I hoped that he would be released soon and that he would be okay and this would be wiped from his record.

Hours later I was dragged off to a small room where I was questioned. They kept asking me questions and never gave me clues about what it was they were accusing me of. They kept telling me to confess and to give up my accomplice. I could only tell them that I had no idea what they were talking about. After what felt like an eternity, but was only a couple of hours, they sent me back to my cell. I lay there on the bed and just stopped thinking. Without knowing what had happened I couldn't form any theories. I fell asleep a while later and just hoped it would all be over soon. Or at least become clear.

The next day I was left in my cell and I only had contact with the officer who brought me food. He didn't say anything either. For hours and hours I sat there, all hope fading as the seconds ticked away. Finally someone appeared and opened my cell. I was led down a hallway and into a small room. Inside the room stood a couple of officers and my boss. I was even more confused at that point. I looked at him for an explaination, but he was visibly angry. I sat in the chair indicated and waited for an explaination.

One of the officers sat across from me and began. "Some valuable coins were stolen from the hotel yesterday. A woman used your access card and got into the room of one of the patrons and took them. Your ID was used in numerous places. You were also caught on camera interacting with her. She was seen slipping something into your pocket. You have been held as a suspect for the twenty four hours that we can legally hold you before pressing official charges. Unfortunately a search of your posessions, the hotel, and your apartment. As well as a complete review of hotel security records has brought up no evidence that you were a willing part in the plot. The item dropped in your pocket was obviously the phone that we found on your person when you were brought here and it will be returned to you when you leave. We can not press charges, therefore you are free to go. However, your boss had something he wanted to say before we released you."

It was all clear after that. Eden had used me. She was a thief and she had used me to get to the coins. I was only lucky that they had concluded that I was not a willing part. The kiss could have told them about a romantic attachment that could lead to me being seen as an accomplice. But they hadn't seen it that way and I was off the hook. I didn't know what my boss had to say though. He took a seat accross from me and spoke. "You let your guard down and you were used to steal some of the most valuable things we guard at the hotel. You should have suspected, or at least been more careful. You failed in your duty. You no longer work for the hotel and I have a feeling you will never work as a security guard again. We have already cleared out your locker. Your things will be given to you as you leave the station. Good bye." With that he left and I was speechless.

A few minutes later I was signing a form and then had a bundle of things given to me. Everything that had been taken after I got to the station and everything from my locker at the hotel. I was given a ride back to my apartment and that was it. I wasn't in prison, but I had no job. My life was ruined and it was all because of Eden. I got into my apartment and found the newspaper at my door. The front page told all the details about the robbery. I was only lucky that my name wasn't there after the explaination that a guard had been arrested. I sunk down onto my couch and thought about what to do now that I was out of a job and had my name ruined.

I stayed in London for the next few days. I got my hair cut and colored, went shopping and tried to relax. I had just spent four hours at the spa and I came out feeling just as horrible as I did walking in. The American papers said that the guard that had been arrested was released and that had made me feel a tiny bit better but not by much. I fished my phone out of my back pocket and looked at it. Still nothing.

"Maybe I should text him..." But what do you say. 'Hi Alex, remember me? I ruined your life but other then that how are you?' I've pulled off more jobs in my 29 years then I wanted to think of because now, looking back I saw it from a different point of view. What had happened to all the people that I had used? Where were they now and were they happy? I doubted it and I was overcome with guilt again.

I wanted to throw my phone on the ground and watch it shatter into a million pieces but this was the only link I had left with Alex. 'How are you?' I typed out the starting of a text then deleted it. 'So how much do you hate me?' I deleted that too flipped the phone closed and tucked it back in my pocket. I wished that there was away that I could make it right but I knew that there was nothing within my power that would heal whatever Alex was going thru.

It might have been cruel but an idea came out of the back of my mind and I followed thru with it. Pulling my phone back out I 411ed the restaurant that Alex had taken me to. "Yes I'd like to order a fruit tart and a bottle of wine and have it delivered to this address- Yes that's correct. Oh and can you write out a card. Yeah- 'I know it's not enough but I just wanted to say that I'm sorry.'. Okay, great and thanks." I snapped the phone out. I didn't expect it to make me feel better and it didn't but at least Alex would know that I was sorry. It was mroe then I had ever done for anyone else.

I spent the next few days searching desperately for a job. For just one person who wouldn't totally ignore me just because I had been used. I tried not to think of Eden. I tried to just focus on getting back on track. I was fortunate to have saved plenty of money. I also had a good inheritance just sitting in the bank, untouched. I could survive for quite a while without work, but I wanted to work. I also wanted respect, but that was all gone. I was well aware of the fact that now even the slightest chance I had of becoming a police officer was out the window. No one would take me seriously. I wasn't completely destroyed, but that was by chance that I had something to fall back on.

No matter how I tried I couldn't get Eden out of my mind. Not because of what she had done, but because of what we had shared. It had been the greatest evening of my life. I had truly believed that we had shared something special. That she had felt the same way about me that I felt about her. And yet that memory was ruined and I had no reason to believe she cared. If she cared she wouldn't have done what she had done.

One evening an unexpected knock came at my door. It wasn't followed by someone yelling that they were the police, so I felt confident that I wasn't about to be arrested again. I had been on edge since leaving the station. I knew that no new developments had occured and worried that they would come back to me if they couldn't find anyone. Putting those thoughts aside I opened my door and a delivery man from a restaurant was standing there with a package for me. I looked at him in confusion, but signed for it anyway.

Taking it into my apartment I carefully opened it. The sight of the tart and the wine brought back memories instantly. Then I found the card. I read it carefully a few times just to make sure I understood it. It was really confusing. I stared at it and thought about it. She could actually be sorry. she could actually care. I wanted to believe that. But as I thought about it I realised that she was clearly a professional. There was no way she cared about me. She wouldn't let that happen to herself. She had used me and that meant the package could mean only one thing. She was taunting me now.

The more I thought about it all the more upset I got. Eden had ruined my life and now she was taunting me. Suddenly I remebered the phone the police said she had put in my pocket. I still had it. I hadn't even thought of it before. I found it and looked at it. It was clearly hers. I looked through all the menus for clues. All that was there was a single phone number. It was the only thing I had to go off of. I thought about phoning her, but ended up simply sending her a message. Fortunately I had let myself calm down a little before sending it. It read, "I can't accept your apology. I don't appreciate being toyed with. My life is ruined. If I didn't have savings I would be out on the street. Whatever game you are playing with me, please stop."

I was vegged out in bed, I didn't feel like leaving it today and was planning on booking a flight back home. Maybe my old friends and family could make me forget the mad back in America and the pain I cause him and indirectly myself. "Urg!" I buried my head under the pillow as thought of Alex flooded my mind. I was falling deeper and deeper into a depressive funk and there didn't seem to be an end to it.

"Nothing compares / No worries or cares / Regrets and mistakes / They are memories made. /Who would have known how bittersweet this would taste?" The phone repeated twice with a jarring buzz.

"What part of see you never didn't you get Vance?" I shouted at the phone and then froze. Was that? Could it be? I threw the covers back and got slowly out of bed. That wasn't the phone I used for work, it was my personal phone. I looked at the flip phone and watched the back light on it shut off and I scrambled to get to the phone. In my mind I saw the text disappearing because I didn't get to it fast enough. My hand shook as I flipped it open and saw the notice on the screen letting me know I got a text. What did it saw? Did he know it was me? Millions of question filled my mind. "You're never going to find out until you read it." I told myself opening the text.

I can't accept your apology. I don't appreciate being toyed with. My life is ruined. If I didn't have savings I would be out on the street. Whatever game you are playing with me, please stop.

A pin could be heard in the silence that follow after reading the text. I didn't realize that I had been hoping for something and my heart was crushed. He can't accept my apology. I ruined his life. White noise in the form of over lapping repeats of the text filled the silence. My mind angry at myself twisted his words until it because an ugly attack on her and the time they had spent together. Tainting it.

"I'm not toying with you!" I shouted at the phone as if he could hear me. "It's not a game!" I cried leaning against the wall and sliding to the floor. I knew he had money, it had been one of the first things I checked on when the funds cleared my account. I had wanted to make sure he would be alright and I told myself that I could always send him money. But I knew that I couldn't. He was being watched and any outwards transfer of money would not only make him seem more guilty but would give the police a trail to follow.

I opened up a message and texted him the very things I had just said. 'I'm not toying with you and it's not a game. I know I ruined you're life and I understand you not accepting my apology but just know that I am sorry for the hurt and distrust that I put you thru.' I sent the text hopeful that I would hear back from him. 'And that night together meant something to me. You might not believe it but it was the only night in my life that I felt like something to be treasured.' I closed the phone after sending the second text and felt the hope in me die. I wouldn't hear from him again and even if I didn't it wouldn't be the Alex that held me in the tub and kissed me sweetly.

And I cried again. For a lot of things and all my wrongs but mostly because that Alex was dead to me now and I would never get him back. Strange how that was what hurt the most.

It didn't take very long for a return message to arrive. The phone rang and I looked at it. I hadn't really been expecting to hear from her. Part of me hoped that I had a wrong number. That someone random had received the message. I picked up the phone and hit the button to read the message. Before I could read it a second time another messagecame. I opened it and read it as well. I read both of them over and over. I wanted to believe her. I wanted to forgive her. I wanted it all to be better and for us to be together. Bu I couldn't. I just couldn't believe it.

I decided to send one more message to her. "You were something to be treasured. But not any more. I can't believe you. If you cared about me then why use my ID? Why do it while I was working? Someone who does what you do as well as you do could have done it without destroying me. But you still did it. You don't care. So don't try to claim you do to ease your mind. And don't claim that you are sorry, because you're not." I sent the message and turned off the phone.

I sat in silence for a long time feeling sorry for myself. She had hurt me. Not only had she cost me my job, but she had truly hurt me. I cared about her and still did. I couldn't stop caring about her no matter what she had done. She had stomped on my heart. Even in the hotel. She had kissed me. After having used my ID to steal the coins she had kissed me and lied to my face. I wasn't sure I'd ever be able to trust a woman again. Not after what she had done to me.

After a lot of thought I decided on what I would do. Rather than waste my time and money living in self loathing I would do something about it. I would get her back for all she had done to me. I would find her and make her pay. Not in money, but in pain. I would ruin her life like she had ruined mine. Every bit of skill and every resource I had would go toward making sure she felt the same way that I felt.

There wasn't a way I could respond to that. He was right and wrong at the same time. I knew what I did for a living was wrongs but it was what I was good at. Sure if I hadn't spent that time with him I could have just forged a new ID off of his but I didn't. I have been selfish and used that time to spend with him. I could have saved him but I didn't. I hated myself and knew that if I went home now I would only worry my parents.

I took a deep breath and let it out slowly. Fine. I would stay here and continue to ignore Vance. With the money that I had made destroying Alex, that's how I was seeing it. I didn't just steal coins from a rich man, I had destroyed Alex's life. I didn't need to work and I could stroll the busy street of London sightseeing and doing all the things I never got a chance to do. I would busy myself with touristy things and hope that one day, sometime soon I prayed, I would forget about Alex.

Yet an hour later dressed in loosed hemp shorts and a long sleeved shirt I tucked the flip phone in my pocket even thought the phone that Alex had was one of the three numbers that knew this number and the other two numbers had other ways to reach me. So I was back to lying to myself saying that this was the easiest way for the other numbers to reach me not wanting to admit that I carried this phone because it was the only way that Alex could get a hold of me.

"Stupid girl." I said to the reflection as I left the rented loft.

The next hours I spent trying hard to figure out what to do and whoto contact. I wrote down every detail I knew about Eden and every hint she had given me, no matter how small. There wasn't much to work with, but there just might be enough. I knew the phone was my biggest asset. I could also get information from the restaurant about the person who had ordered the tart and wine for me. It had been paid for and that meant she had been the one to pay for it. Either she was in town and paid cash, which was unlikely, or she had used a credit card or some sort of tracable payment method.

I ate the tart and drank the wine as I worked through the night, thinking of every possibility. The towel she had used was still unwashed, but even if it contained her DNA there was no way for me to use that information. I had her note and it had been hardly touched. I had other possible places for her fingerprints as well. By the time I finished I had three solid clues and some personal details about her that I knew from our time together. I also knew I could get images of her in the hotel from the security cameras. One of my friends would definitely get me those. Finally I decided that she could be an asset. Whether she was toying with me, taunting me, or actually cared, messages with her could actually help me track her down.

Late that night I turned on the phone again and looked at it. I had to send her another message. I couldn't believe what I was about to say, but I thought it would be my best chance at continuing talks with her. I carefully typed it out. "I've been thinking about all I said and I realise I was wrong. I am still unhappy about what you did, but no matter what happened I can't stay mad at you. That night was too special to let anything taint it. I still care about you and that won't change. Everything I said was out of anger and for that I am sorry." I sent the message and wondered what she would do when she got it. I could only hope that she would still look at messages from me. As I waited to see if I would get a quick response I got myself ready to get some sleep. It was late and I was quite tired. I also had a lot to do the next day.

I had spent the day going on tours, shopping at gift stores and eating at cute cafes but no matter what I did Alex wasn't far from my thoughts. I couldn't seem to forget him and what I did to him. Maybe I could send Conrad to his house and give him a new identity. It was a nice thought but I didn't think it was one that Alex would approve of. I sat on the rooftop of Skyline Coffee house and swirled the cinnamon stick around and around in my hot chocolate.

I tried to drown out my mind and listened to the busy street. Cars were honking, double-decker buses filled with people were ohh and ahhing at things as a man shouted information about what they were looking at. I head a baby crying somewhere on the sidewalk, business men making deals at the table near me and someone's keyboard clicking away as they typed. But for all the noise that surrounded me in a certain kind of chaos, my mind was clear and empty of everything but guilt.

"Nothing compares / No worries or cares / Regrets and mistakes / They are memories made. /Who would have known how bittersweet this would taste?" I snapped to attention. That was my phone. The business man who spoke in a very loud voice looked at me as if the silent singing had ruined something for him. I wanted to laugh at him. Too late buddy, I thought, I've met my quota for ruining people's lives and you don't even rank. I glared back until he grew uncomfortable and looked away.

"What?" I was confused. I don't know how many times I had to reread that text before it made some kind of sense and even then it didn't seem right. How was he wrong? He gave me the most perfect night and I used him. And why couldn't he stay mad at me? I ruined his life. If I were in his place I would rain hell upon him. But he thought our night was special. I clutched the phone to my chest. I felt like spring had finally come after a long hard desolate winter. Alex was my spring and he still cared. I sighed and felt like thing were going to get better.

"You weren't wrong. Everything you said and everything you felt was right. I wronged you. I could have forged a new ID off of yours but I was selfish and spent the time with you rather then keeping you out of it. In a situation like this your anger is is justified and I haven't earned the right yet for you to get over it. I'm not saying that I want you to be mad at me I just want earn it. It's the least I can do." The text message page filled and started a new one automatically. "And our night not matter what you say was special to me. I had never felt connected to a person like that in my life and I should have treated it as the precious thing that it was. But I didn't. I know it's asking for a lot but I wish you would believe me when I say that the time spent with you is the greatest memory of my life. I know my actions said something different but I do care for you." Text number three. "I don't know what I can do to make it up to you but if you need anything let me know and I will try my hardest to help you. I know it pales in comparison but I want to do something. Just don't say that you're sorry. You did nothing wrong to have reason to say it. I was in the wrong and I'm the one who is sorry."

I didn't even read over the text before I sent it. I was scared that I would read it and chicken out and rewrite something lame and distance. At least I knew that I had wrote that unguarded and from my heart. I just hoped he read it as so. Slowly I got up and looked at my untouched hot chocolate. It was cold now and the whipped cream had started to separate on the top following the cuts that the stick of cinnamon had made. Well it smelled good. I shrugged leaving a tip on the table as I left wondering how long I would have to wait to hear back from Alex.
