A revolutionary can hate his country's governing regime without hating his country -- even if, as in Russia's case, that regime is more than 500 years old and one could make a case for it being an inextricable element of the nation's culture. And the same applies to anyone who opposes American federalism or American capitalism -- one can hate those things without hating America, or being in any way anti-American.

There are anti-monarchist republicans in the UK. They are politically marginal, and they might well be cranks -- but whatever else they are, they are not anti-British.

I have met and talked to veterans of WW2, Americans, Canadians, Brits, in the UK and Australia, survivors of campaigns in Europe, in Burma, in the Pacific.

I have been to British, American and German cemeteries in France from WW1 and 2. What shouldn't have surprised me, be frequently did, was how young those who died had been, and that the survivors were very modest about what they had done all those years ago.
