Acrolaw... open...

Moving out of the cave as discreetly as possible, he didn't eye the villagers, not knowing what they would do, still feeling very uncomfortable he rushed out running, and took to the air, Myst, he called to her what happened to me? what happened to the others?

Ahh hell thought Grok, the dang bird boy was finaly awake again and the faint buzzing that Grok knew was mind speach right along with him. Sheesh, it was hard enough keeping his own thoughts straight, but to have others jumpin in and out of a guys brain all the time was enought to give him nightmares, sighing Grok knew he was lucky to be def to all but the faint buzzing, earitating as that was. Privitly he thought the Elf could speak plane enough and just did the mind speach to anoy hell out of him. Oh well Grok was dealing with much much larger problems then the elf this morning, WOMEN! before comeing to the help of the vilage Grok had never cared how dirty or ripe he might be or smell, hell, a good layer of dirt and leaves kept a guy warm, and he could recal with a smile more then once seeing bears, trolls and even a Vanishis ka'nit getting a wif of him and taking off in the other derection. But now, every morning he rolled out of the small shelter he had made for himself west of the village and from wence the slavers had come from, he found himself shivering his ass off warshing up in the mountain crick, combing his hair back with his fingers, and even going so far as to clean his fangs with a oak stick, before heading to the village to help rebuild, just on the off chance of seeing one of the ladys before getting all dirty sweaty and smelly again after workin all day and ending up right back here freezing his nads off cleaning up agian, what a vishus circle, and all for the smile of a women. Ah hell with it, today would be a good day to scout ferther west, Grok was ever hopeful of stumbling over some sign or track of Tasha's brother, and who knew he might get luky enough to have some bear, not reconizing his sent anymore attack him, he could use a good wresling match. A quick flash of Tasha, sweat glisting off her body after sword practice flashed threw Groks mind, and blushing profusly he headed off into the woods.

Tasha smiled as she looked around the village. The repares were coming along nicely and it looked as tho they would be finnished before the winter storms begain.

Seeing Grok, heading off twords the woods. Tasha decided to join him. Maybe they could pick up some game to bring back and store for winter. Picking up her bow and arrows. Tasha hurried to catchup. Grok had a good head start on her.

She and some of the other villagers had noticed that Grok had taken to bathing regularly and Tasha smiled again.. She would defanatly have to remember to complement Grok... because she new that most of his kind didnt like to bathe at all.

Catching up to Grok Tasha said. Hail Grok.. wouold you care for some company??

Just finnaly arived to his destination point, and ploped down, exhausted. He was still in bad shape, and his wounds weren't exaxtcly healing as fast as they should, a negative effect of refusing to be healed was that the person's natural healing abilitys may not agree with magical healing. Justin stood up and shook his head. "Damn that feathered elf! I thought I told him not to heal me!"

Justin sighed and walked over to the now rotting corsp. Helt knelt down and picked up the few remaining useful pieces of his sword. "Shit... This isn't enough..." Justin scratched his head, trying to think. "Guess I have no choice." Justin sighed as he took an deep breath, and impaled his right arm into the cat's corsp.

Stoping to beam a smile at Tasha, Grok said your company is always a pleasure...umm.... I was just going to backtrack the catmen some, maybe get an idea where there village is, do some huntinging... realizing he was babaling, Grok snaped his mouth shut, smiled again and just nods.

Gruth wandered back into his living space and dropped his halberd. Her walked over to a pile of straw in one corner of the room that he was using as a bed, and collapsed down on it.

He had been guarding the town for more than a week now, and nothing had attacked. Gruth didn't mind it that way, but the villager's salted meats were started to upset his stomach. He would have to hunt soon. Get some fresh meat...

Tasha smiled she new Grok was uneasy and steped in beside him. Searching for tracks. As they continued she knelt down to inspect what she thought to be a kolbold track. Looking up she noted Grok had stoped and was looking at her.

I am sorry Grok but there looks to be Kolbold tracks mixed in with the Cat Men's trail, but i didnt see any Kolbolds when they attacked the village.. This is strange... She said standing back up.

They lead twords the runes where her, Starblade, and Justin had rested when hiding from the wingd elves. Could they be connected with the demon they had killed??,and they just not have noticed because they were distracted by Starblades ken?? Tasha's eyes narrowed. This means they still have an unknown enamy out there.

Grok i am going to follow these tracks back. Justin, Starblade and i were attacked by a demon not far from here and i want to see if they may be connected... She said following the tracks as she moved thru the underbrush. If they are connected she thought then that ment someone or something was controlling the cat men, Kolbolds and Demons... , but who would be that strong?? and why would they wish to distroy the village?? Shaking herself from her thoughts Tasha continued forward.

Justing ran cold water over his arm. The beast's blood burned as if it was acid. Lucky for Justin he made sure to bring some water with him just in case, or he'd have an badly infected arm. As the last of the blood driped off of Justin's arm, the wolf creature stood up slowly and turned around. Right beside him laid the spine of the cat creature he killed, it was basicly the only set of bones that weren't totaly disetegrated by the lighting bolt.

Justin sat down and picked up the spine. "What exactly is this thing... I never seen and Spine like this..."

Myst

"Greetings friend, its good to hear you up and about. Please do calm down tho there is no reason to be frantic, the ones like you but not like you are gone and shall not bother you again. I should be back to the village shortly rest until then and I will let you know what happened in further detail.

Smiling to herself Myst knew her short message would get to Starblade just as she shut down her mind to him. Thinking to herself that she must be getting better with the mindspeak since she was able to shut it off and on now.

Moving quickly back towards village hoping to catch Tasha and Grok. Maybe she could help with the hunting here soon, the salted meat was good but it was wearing thin and the people needed their strength to continue to rebuild. Things were looking up, as long as the slavers stayed away they could make it. Or so she hoped.

In the air, he felt no lingering traces of the battle, and then he heard Myst's answer, exasperated, he knew he couldn't stay up much longer, his wounds were beginning to hurt. He started a gentle dive to the ground, and didn't land, his shoulders and wings hurt so much, he stumbled into the ground, and barely managed to stand up, holding his hooks and using them as walking sticks, he goes over to the cave and sits down outside, looking up at the sky

Tasha followed the tracks and as she suspected they lead back to where they had fought the demon. Stepping thru the under brush she stopped as she saw Justin. She was sure he had heard her comming but still clear'd her throat to let him know of her preasents before speeking. Have you seen any kolbolds tracks mixed in with the demons by any chance??

Something squealed loudly nearby, then was suddely cut off

Grutch knelt in the forrest, holding the wild pig he had just violently butchered with his glave. The animal's head lay severed on the grass nearby him, and he held it's body in his hands. Grimming to himself, and inhaling the scent of fresh blood, he bit into the carcass, tearing off a chunk of skin and muscle, chewing, and then swallowing

"Aah, fresh meat"

Justin noticed somebody comming his way. He slowly stood up and placed the spine and pieces of his sword in a brown bag and slung it over his shoulder as Tasha walked torwards him.

'Have you seen any kolbolds tracks mixed in with the demons by any chance??'

"Kolbolds?" Justin almost had a uterly confused look on his face. He was still new to the area, and only heard of Kolbolds. "Only tracks I've seen was from that thing."

Myst

Once Myst hit the village she begins to look around trying to locate Starblade. Finally spotting him sitting against a wall looking rather pale, "What are you doing? You should be resting, and I just bet you were flying trying to find those others out there. Didn't you hear me I told you they are gone and can not find you now, we killed them the bodies are taken care of and no one will ever know. Now lets get you laid back down so I can check on your bandages please. And no arguments with this one. It took to long to bring you back to us, I don't want to lose you now."

Helping Starblade to his feet propping herself under one of his wings offering her support as best as she can and moving him back into the building to the bed. Crooning softly to the bird, hoping that she would understand that Myst was only trying to help and not harm him.

Upon getting Starblade comfortable Myst asks softly, "Better? Now are you hungry and if so what would you like? Maybe some water to help relax you a bit, you know you need to rest more before trying to go winging about the air again. Please try for me to take better care and rest, I might be away from you for short awhile but I will always be close enough to hear you mind speak to me if you need anything at all. Now I have to go do a bit of hunting, call to me if you need anything... anything at all."

Damn Tasha thought ohh well but then that creature is large and coverd alot of area... Thank you Justin.. it just seemed odd that a cat man and a demon.. well i thought maybe they were all connected some how, but that's silly isnt it kolbolds have been in this area for hundreds of year's.. mind if i take a look around and see what i can find. Just to be sure. I could use the help if your up too..

Tasha stoped talking as she noticed Justins wounds had opend up again. Moving closer to him she begain checking to see how bad they were. Ether youve been stubborn, and moving around too much.. or your body just dosent work well with magic's. I have some healing slive, and bandages in my pack we can use if you think you can handle my touching you. she said waiting for him to reply before probing further.

Grok never woried to much about kolbolds, they stayed away from him in the woods, but if Tasha was right and there was a conenction with catmen and demons, things just might start getting interesting again. Hunkering down at the edge of the clearing, Grok kept watch around the woods while Tasha bandaged Justing, and fingered his bag of sling stones, he would have to keep his eye out for more round stones, if Tasha was right, and he belived she was, he was going to need every stone he could find.

While Tasha Bandaged Justins wounds she smiled over at Grok glad that she had decided to join him. Looking around much of what she seen had more to do with the dead cat man and the Demon, no kolbold tracks but maybe.. Justin.. Is there another sent here besides the Demon's, the catmans, and our's from earler?

Justin, who wasn't exactly enjoying Tasha tending to his wounds (though he hid it extreamly well,) lifted his head slightly, and sniffed the air. "... No.. Nothing... But... I don't seem to smell any Catmen around either... That's... Odd... I'd expect at least a trace..."

hummm any idea which direction this thing, and the catman came from?? She asked as she finnished with Justins wounds she stood, and begain searching the area for the kolbold tracks she was looking for as well as any claw marks in the trees to indicate which direction the catman, and the demon had come from.

"Well," Justin started as he stood up, "I know that, chances are, the Catmen came from over the hills by the village. As for that... Thing... I sniffed around, and followed it's tracks to a small hole in the mountain nearby, most likely an cave trail that leads to the other side of the mountain..." Justin scratched his head. "But when I tried following the scent a little while back, the scent faded not too far into the cave. Plus, the path seemed to have been caved in by something... By what I have no clue."

Myst

Moving quickly from the camp following the last bit of the trail of scent that she could find. Scenting the air again, there was the scent again. Changing form slowly as not to disrupt anyone Myst moves up upon the prey she has caught. A small herd of deer, spotting a few of them hanging back a bit before making her move. Knowing that with her speed as a panther she would move faster and kill quicker. The town would have fresh meat this night and her stomach was looking forward to it.

Quickly taking down the first one and dispatching of it, Myst hurries to catch the second one. Catching it just before it hits the forest and is gone forever like the rest. Dispatching the second one she drags the second body to the first and shifts slowly back letting the disorentation come and go from the shift. Feeling the drain and hoping that she can get the kills back to the village in time before she has to rest.

Drawing her dagger, before beginning the slow process of skinning and degutting the kills keeping the skins for pouches to carry the much needed fresh meat. The blood from the kills didn't bother her much she had done this many of times, and loved the feel of the hot liquid spill over her hands as the beasts heart sputtered its last out to her.

Once done she dug in her pack and removing the spade she always carries to bury the remains knowing the scavengers were going to feast tonite but not being worried about them to much, Myst buries the carcasses. Before grapping the deer pouches and heading for the near by stream to wash in, knowing she would make a hell of a sight going into village covered in blood. It might cause a panic, one that was not needed she was sure of that.

Moving slowly from the stream, and picking up the discarded pouches, turning thinking that there was someone else there but seeing no one she moves quickly away opening her mind to Starblade and anyone else who might be listening.

"I am on my way back to you good friend I bring meat but think that you do not eat meat so what is it that you eat? Vegtables maybe, I can find some or is it berries, I honestly do not know and I believe you need to eat to recoupe your energies soon. I feel another presence out here but can not locate from where. Tho I know it is not from your kind it worries me that it might bring more harm to the village."

lying down on the bed in his stomach he just looked out, wondering what the others thought of him, the humans, and the others, now they knew his secret. He got up and felt his wounds. The new bandages showed the signs of them splitting open again, his bones he could feel were grinding somewhat still, he just sat there and waited

Finding the tracks, and marking's she was looking for Tasha started to follow them further but decided it would probably be best if she Justin and Grok. Went to find Myst and Starblade, and let them know what they had found.

Turning to Justin and Grok she said. Lets head back and let the others know, what we've found, and see what they think. I beleave these creatrus are all connected, and if they are we need to set a guard at the village while we scout out who is behinde this.

Justin

Justin nodded and followed Tasha and Grok. He kept his ears sharp, as he started to feel the Erie feel of peace after the eye of the storm. He was now expecting something big was about to happen.

Gruth finished his meal. Aah, fresh meat was the best! Especially when it's so fresh that it's alive. Discarding the carcass, he let out a belch and stood up. He was about to hent for something else when he heard voices nearby. Voices of the villagers! Hurredly he gathered up his equipment and jogged back to the village, not wanting to be found too far away from his post, even if it wasn't his shift
