The Shrine
A large building that looks like a gothic cathedral fills a space roughly the size of the square and can be found just behind Joey's...it is surrounded by impressive gardens and has a barrier of trees and a small brick wall. Inside a student can find a massive main hall with large oak benches and impressive marble alter at the end of the room. It is flanked by large stain glass windows depicting warriors like knights and Samurai fighting monsters. Off to the sides are rooms. These meditation cells are open to students at any time though appointments are encouraged. Some rooms can become saunas while others can be made to accommodate specific religions (the Shrine is well stocked with religious materials).
The Shrine is staffed by former and some current students mostly with philosophy or religious degrees. They are required to serve in the military, police, or have a black belt before applying to the order. Around 70% are Japanese though they required to speak English. They spend their days maintaining the building and grounds and guard is as well. They mostly keep to their own but are not unfriendly and will be helpful in and out of the shrine. They mostly wear medieval style European Monks robes. They live in a dorm nearby that does house some students that are not part of the order. It is rumored there is a complex of tunnels linking the buildings and one even leading to a subway station.
The monks minister to the student warriors and provide counselling secessions as well as lectures. Ever day there is at least one "mass" where students can hear the virtures of being a warrior. Funerals and weddings are also held at the Shrine. Many students use the cells to pray and meditate so they are available 24 hours a day year round. A fountian in the foyar puts out a constant supply of holy water for ceremonies.
In the lower levels of the shrine there are many store roooms as well as a large library in a bomb shelter. There is also an arsenal filled with weapons from current militaries to weapons that date back to the dark ages. The monks who guard the Shrine prefer Uzis and long knives.
