Theme!

As our previous Prom Queen has been the only one to suggest a theme (how can we refuse a Prom Queen?), and as the Prom committee likes it, our Prom theme this year will be:

Gypsy Carnival!

For those of you new to the idea of a Prom: "Your prom theme is one of the most important, and first decisions your prom committee will make. Selecting a theme that is going to guarantee a great and memorable event is a key component in producing an unforgettable prom.

Most schools develop general themes that generally set the guidelines for the prom colors, decorations etc."

In other words, you can riff on this theme for your prom dress if you like, but primarily, it's for how we're going to decorate the gym, decide on the type of crowns and thrones for our King/Queen, party favors, refreshments, and background image for a prom photo like this one--

Then somehow I've got to get my formal kilt in order. I wanted to go with my dress blues and the US Army tartan but I'm having a problem getting an image of the uni coat. I'll probably just end up in the Prince Edward coat. (and suitably unclad under the kilt. )
