OKAY! Date so far--is this good for folks, because it CAN be changed if enough people want something different:

START: THURSDAY, May 14th, 8pm Brit time (a little later for Liar and other European folk)
This is 3pm New York Time
12pm California Time
9am Friday May 15 (?) Aussie Time

Start means that's when everyone starts getting ready. Picks up their date. Has the parents take photos, leaves the house and heads to the gym. Arrive in your own good time. Gym will be decorated and ready! We'll even have a band.

END: SATURDAY, May 16th, crack of dawn when you all find yourselves in hotel rooms with someone other than your date and wonder how the hell you got there and why are you wearing only a cumberbun? (or whenever)

Keep in mind this prom is global and goes 24 hours to accommodate all time zones--and can even be visited while you're at work

Good--or do we want to go for Friday night spilling into Saturday and Sunday instead?

I'll be flying Cloudy to New Orleans so that we can dine in my hometown at one of my favorite restaurants, Lilette.

I chose Lilette because Cloudy is rather fond of crab legs, so I selected the restaurant because they serve the very best my city has to offer in this department. We'll have the Alaskan king crab claws with passionfruit butter, a lovely wine to accompany, and possibly one of these delicacies for dessert: Chocolate semifreddo Napoleon with peanut shortbread and espresso syrup or Mascarpone panna cotta with Louisiana blueberries, lemon verbena sorbet and lemon curd.

After dinner, we'll take a flight to attend prom. She will be the belle of the ball in every respect, and I will bask in the pleasure of being with her. We will dance often and with abandon.

Then, we're off to Los Angeles to drive up into the Hollywood Hills, taking scenic Mulholland Drive up to watch the sunrise together.
