As much as I respect the rich tradition of Notre Dame football & as thrilled as I am that Notre Dame has once again reached national collegiate football prominence, I just don't think the Fighting Irish from South Bend have any chance of beating the Crimson Tide from Tuscaloosa in the BCS National Championship game on January 7th.

I do believe Alabama will roll over Nortre Dame and give new meaning to "Roll Tide!" I just hope Notre Dame doesn't lay an egg like LSU did last year. Speaking of the Geaux Tigers from Baton Rouge -- why were they completely shut out of the BCS? Chick-fil-A Bowl? Really? Kudos to the Huskies from Dekalb, but Northern Illinois doesn't belong in the Orange Bowl. Swap NIU & LSU in the their respective bowl games and justice will have been served.

I would think a man of your means would be able to have the game thrown in any direction he wanted. Everyone has a price....correct?

College sports is sacrosanct.

I generally limit my efforts (and your money) to buying distressed, but cash rich/hard asset rich companies whose break up values far exceed its current value. Buy it & maybe sell off the assets or replace the board of directors with my own people and turn the company around. Either way, I end up winning.

I do occasionally dabble in the world of political corruption, graft & sleaze, but the political miscreants that populate the City of Corruption are so easy that often times I find myself bored and one step ahead of a federal indictment.

Does everyone have a price? Absolutely! The beauty is in finding it, exploiting it & then destroying it once you're no longer any use to me. Now, be a good girl & I just might buy you a new pair of shoes.
