Alien vs Predator: A Frozen Hell

The mercenaries were wearing on Kingston. The belittling words agitated her, as programming told her such attitude was counterproductive to good working relations. Synthetics had come for enough that they should be treated as equals. Artifical anger was clear in her eyes as the doctor appeared.

"Dr. Pulvid." The briefest pause was taken to log his name, status, and face. They would be added to the Kingston unit's files and watched for from now on, like every known scientist and officer of rank were. Pulvid was most likely one of the scientists dropped off after the capture of the Predator. The why the Xeno divison would be involved, Kingston couldn't guess.

"Kingston. 219-C. I am scheduled for duty within the labs today. There are a number of tasks to be done, including the cataloging and preliminary testing of several ice samples collected recently. And while I would very much like to get started, these men refuse to move. Can you make them?""

She was, all in all, just a grunt in the science facility, shared between entire base. There was always something to do that way and her skills would not be wasted. In such a backwater base there was no pointing in having specialists.

Dr. Pulvid did his best to look sincere.
"I'm sorry. You see, they are a bit pugnacious right now and it does not help that they have been away from combat for a couple of weeks." Pulvid flashed a quick scowl at the mercs before returning his glance towards Kingston. He slid his card in the door scanner and spoke his name aloud to a small transmitter panel to the side of the door. The doctor led her through the open doors. Inside, the rooms looked much like those of a hospital. They were bright white and were kept very clean. Doctors and security brushed past them as they scurried to do their daily tasks.
Dr. Pulvid pointed Kingston down a hallway. "This way miss." Pulvid walked briskly towards a second door which slid open automaticly and stepped inside. This room was much darker than the entryway and there were only a handfull of scientists inside. In the middle of the room there was an vacant operating table though it had seen recent use do to the tubes and used tools lying on its side cart. Pulvid pointed to a set of doors at the end of the room. "The door on the right will lead you to the cyrotesting chamber where you can test your samples. We had to relocate it because of the arrival of our new guest." The doctor gave Kingston a quick frown. "The second door on the left will take you to worse places." With that, Pulvid turned to exit.
"If you need any help, talk to Max, he said pointing to a researcher by the table. He's quite helpful for a synthetic even though he's slightly out of date."

The doctor's help was a relief to Kingston, allowing her to return to her default passive demeanor. Ignoring the mercenaries' scowls, she followed Pulvid into the facility. Little attention was paid to the faces slipping by. Her thoughts were on the work ahead, organzing the day's work into a neat schedule with several options should certain tests go in different directions.

"Thank you, Dr. Pulvid." Kingston took in the room as the doctor left. As far as she knew there was no operation scheduled for today. Her curiousity kicked in, her need to know of the facility's activities causing her to search for clues as to what had occurred on the table. The most obvious answer to her question involved the Predator in some way, as it was by for the most important case at the moment. However, not everything could grind to a halt for this and things were less than well organized at the moment, as the movement of the cryotesting lab proved. Missing any tell-tale clues, Kingstons next step was simple.

"Max." She approached him. "Kingston unit, 219-C. May I ask what occurred here? My memory shows no activity scheduled for this room."

A particualy old and frail man looked up at the sound of his name. He looked just an out-of-date model should look like. His figure was thin and he wore glasses (more for appearence than sight) and in combination with an old labcoat he looked just llike a weary old man.
Max paused and took his time answering her question. "
"Ah. You ask me yet you probably already know the answer." Max paused again as he looked back down at his work before continuing. "Your assumptions with the Predator were correct as the beast was recently analyzed here just last night. He screamed terribly the whole while. These hunters seem to hate captivity even more than the Xenos." Max took off his glasses and folded them away in his shirt pocket. "You can probably guess what's behind that door to the left," he said with a blatant gesture. He flashed the Kingston unit a weary smile. "But I should probably leave you to cryotesting." Max walked towards the exit but before leaving he turned to the other synthetic. "I too have other duties to attend to." The old man exited with a sly grin.

Predator, pt IV.
The hunters in the holds of the ship cheered at the sound of the anouncment. It was time to hunt! Tar'nithkis and his Young Blood-learners began donning their armor. Ta'voc and his brutes were sharpening their blades when they felt the Tarei'hasan begin its decent. The hulking warrior clicked his manibles eargly and pulled his biomask over his face. The dark black helm was made from the skulls of Kainde Amedha alpha warriors. Ta'voc planned to be just as lucky during their current hunt.
Because after all, who did he have to compete with him?
The Tarei'hasan hurtled towards the planet's surface with great speed and began to pass through the turbulent skies. The thick storm clouds shook the clan ship but Nan-de kept control and guided the small craft through the blizzard. Thei-de was the first to spot the base below, nestled tightly into the floor of the frosted valley. Nan-de took her time looking for a spot to land as Thei-de looked over the military compound. It's defences were tight, but basic. If they used the storm to their advantage, they could sneak into the central bunkers without the guards even noticing.
The lust of the hunt was contagous indeed.

"I'm telling them Nan-de, it's better we give them a heads up, or else we might not be able to survive" Bringing a mike so that the whole ship could hear, "Everyone ready? Make sure you have the heaviest weapons we have, there's a Kainde Amedha that is larger than even their queens." I punched a button, to transmit images from the scans I took to everyone's helmets, "this is the Kainda Amedha we spotted, there's a lot of them. Get ready to drop and Good Hunting!!" With that I turned the mike off, "Come on, Nan-de," I said, as I pulled my helmet on, and started to pack my weapons to into their holders, "we can cloak the ship, and keep it on auto pilot."

Aliens, pt IV.
They were a terrible sight to see. Hundreds upon hundreds of drones and warriors clambered across the frozen tundra towards the north. These putrid beasts charged shoulder-to-shoulder with elite preatorian warriors but all were dwarfed by the thrity-foot tall alien ravager. With each step it took the earth quivered benteah its weight. With each breath it took the wind paused. This unholy army charged through the blistering cold led by Sisous and the warriors at the head of the raging river of the hive. Just over the next gorge the flashing lights of the military base caught their eyes. It was almost as if their prey was beckoning them to the feeding ground.

For being an older model, the Max synthetic was quite astute. Then again, Kingston was accustomed to dealing with humans. Decidedly less observant and thoughtful beings, when all was said and done. The other android had been 100% accurate in his reading of her. She had deduced that the Predator had been the one on the operating table and she had figured what was befind that door. He seemed to predict indecision would strike her as well, as he'd left her to wrestle with it.

Even with her efficiently wired mind, she had to pause as she debated her next move. Venturing through that door would anger superiors, should they discover she did so. But there was her curiousity calling out, reasoning all the benefits to be had by seeing a Predator with her own eyes and knowing exactly where it was kept? Surely she would feel safer. As it was, her weapons had been left in her bunk. Such things weren't allowed on any personnel in the Weyland-Yutani labs save for guards. If she could just put her concern to rest, she would prove more efficient in her work for the rest of the day.

Were she not synthetic, it would seem like she were rationalizing her wants.

With a quick glance to ensure no one was watching, she made her way for the forbidden door. The door sliding open automatically, her scenario processors brought up the image the great alien lunging from the shadows. It made her hesitate.

Regaining her composure, the Kingston unit ventured forward.

I made a face at Thei. "Spoil sport," I said teasingly, not really meaning it. I'd would have told them, eventually.
Following his lead, I got out of my chair and popped open my weapons stash I kept on the bridge. In addition to my usual assortment of sharp-pointy flying objects and javalins, I added some special armaments. Exploding tipped darts for my wrist auto launcher. A dual port lazer for my shoulder moduel- on port ice the other a lazer. I pulled out a new peice of equipment, fresh from the testing labs. It was a cloak made of a material similar to my armor, acid resistant and with the ability to appear invisible. Had cost me all the money from my last four kills but I figured it'd be worth it. Especially if I had to shove a bomb down that big thing's gullet. Would keep me from dying of acid burns.
Though my chances of facing it were slim, I admited, at least to myself. I finished arming up and lead the way down to the pod room.
The drop pods were about 4 meters tall with three flaring blades atop them to help catch air and slow their descent. Not the comfyiest ride to the surface but it worked.

I made sure I had the planet's schematics on my hemlat and tested my uplink to the ship while Ta'voc did his final inspections, adjusting a helmate here, a blade there. He reached me last, by design I'm sure.
"What's with this cloak, Nan-de? Its pathetic that one of the Yajuta Blooded would need something to keep him, I mean her warm."
I'd had all I could take and would take no more. My hand flew so fast I doubt Ta'voc saw it coming before he was on his ass on the ground. "You were not put here to question me, Ta'voc. You're here to kill what I tell you to kill. I listen to your input because it benefits me and my crew. I will not listen to you bitch about me feild testing a new peice of equipment like a petulant child. The cloak's acid proof, if you must know. And since I think the only way to kill that big critter is by blowing it up, it might come in handy."
I looked to the rest of the crew, femenine ire rising. "What are you looking at? Into your pods! I'm tired of this drivle, lets go kill something!"
At least that was met with happy grunts and compliance.

Tar'nithkis's face formed a grin beneath his mask. He though the spat was amusing but in his wisdom knew that Ta'voc was extremely venegful. The last hunter to humiliate him was found in a condition beyond repair. Ta'voc made sure his rivals paid and that they would never be able to taste the pleasures of the hunt again.
Sure enough Ta'voc angrily pulled himself to his feet. His cold eyes burned with an intensity beyond fire. His face spelt death. His hand was on his wrist gauntlet but Tar'nithkis shook his head from the corner. Ta'voc regained his composition and turned away.
The Lou-dte Kalei will soon learn her place.

After watching the fight, the young hunters quickly ran to the pods, all of them eager to kill...
Tar'nithkis was the last to enter a pod. The old arbiter knew he would have to keep an eye on Nan-de and Ta'voc. There was going to be trouble.

Kingston stepped into a dimly lit hallway. Cages with transparent panels lined both sides of the corredor. Inside each one was a horrible beast mutated and corrupted by the experiments. The further down the hallway she walked, the more twisted the experiments became. Towards the end of the hallway, she passed by a cage occupied by two ferocious canine-like specimens. The hounds growled angrily and barked threatiningly as she passed.
The end of the hallway was reserved for a special specimen. The corredor ended at a very large, fully transparent cylinder-shaped cage. The tube was filled with a thick, dark green liquid that made it difficult to see clearly inside. Bubbles floated from vents at the bottom of the tube. Despite the bubbles and green interior, Kingston was still able to see what was inside. A humanoid, roughly 3.3 meters high with a thick-muscled frame was restrained by thick bonds attached to the celing of its pen. Long, black braids floated and drifted above its head which was pointing submissivly towards the ground. The great beast had incision marks all over its arms and legs. Before seeing the creature so helpless, the Kingston unit would have found it hard to imagine such a monster in such a broken state. If Kingston could name an emotion to describe it, she would have choosen pity.

Gadaba ef Carnd Nork - Stalker of Pray

Chuckling to him as he watched the events in front of him-self. Thinking himself lucky he wasn't Ta'voc. He started for his pod, his thoughts going towards the hunt. His armor was acid proof, but he didn't have much amour on, he felt it was dishonorable to hunt a creature that could not strike back. He didn't worry too much about his cloak for the time being, as the creatures he would face first didn’t have sight, so his cloak would be a waste of energy.

He was going into the hunt with his plasma caster, combat staff and spear gun. This will be a glorious hunt!

Thei De Guan

I checked my connection with the ship as well, making sure I could close it in case anything were to happen to me. I stopped by my storage locker for some special equipment, that I fiddled with, bringing with me grenades and some specialized ammo for my spear gun, and took out an extra nuke that everyone carried in case we were captured and stuffed it in my pack, with the rest of my equipment. Then went down the the pod bay, just in time to see Nan-de drop Ta'voc, smiling behind his mask, I walked over to Tar'nithkis, and after most of the people went to their pods, said really softly "thank you for stopping Ta'voc." I bowed and ran off to my own pod. Jumping in, I felt the pod shoot out and I was off, this would be a fun hunt.

Predator, pt VI.
As the clan ship swooped silently overhead, there were soundless flashes of light as missle-like pods ejected from there slots. These dozens of pods were fired in random directions and like flailing seeds they spiraled away from each other.
Each pod hit the earth with a soft THUD as they dug into the fresh snow. Ta'voc and his brutes were the first to exit their pods. Thei-de was the only other hunter in the group and he was the last to emerge. When the pod doors burst open, a chilling wind streamed inside. The hunters were overcome by a flow of blistering cold. The brutes shook it off and pointed to a series of bright lights coming from a nearby canyon.
The valley was the site of the hunt where they would meet up with the Kainda Amedha horde. Ta'voc raised his head to the dark sky and errupted a primal roar.
...
Across the valley, the other missle-like transports slammed into the ice and out climbed Nan-de, Gadaba, and Tar'nithkis along with his clan of Young Blood hunters. The hunters strained to stay upright against the gale wind as they approached the marine encampment. On the other side of the valley, the hunters could see Ta'voc and his brutes sliding down the gorge through the frost. Tar'nithkis gave the signal to follow, before he ran towards the cliff edge and leapt into the open air. He landed with a heavy CRUNCH in the new-fallen snow. His hunters followed by gracefully jumping down after him. With the compound's outer perimeter only a couple hundred yards away, the old arbiter activated his light-bending camoflauge unit and disapeared into the snow. The others followed suit.
The hunt was on.

Kingston 219-C

The synthetic unit had entered a gray area, such indecision causing a considerable amount of panic. The proper path had been clear for 99% of the two years she had been operational. Now faced with choices, the ramifications completely unpredictable, Kingston was anxious.

She stood in front of a captured Predator. One of the most dangerous beings in existance. So why would she be compelled to feel anything for it? Because it was almost human. The creatures lining the hallways up until this point were mere beasts, variations of animals she was well familiar with. But the Predator was so close to being a man. The sin, the face were the differences. Inside, though, there was an advanced intellect. An intellect that revolved around killing, but advanced none the less than her own. And she was almost human.

Kingston's common sense told her to walk away. The Predator was not human, but a monster. She felt obligated, though. She was supposed to care for all human life. She wasn't supposed to let anything bad happen. And this Predator came so close to being human... She ran her fingertips along the shatter-proof glass, imagining the humanoid's features beneath her touch. For several moments, Kingston stared at the Predator's crab-like face looking for the answers. None were forthcoming.

Realizing it was a true gray area, that she would not find a clear answer, Kingston made what could only be considered a "conscience call." Stepping to the cell's controls, she began to drain the fluid out. Once that was completed, the glass would be retracted. The bonds would remain for the moment, until she could assess the situation. The Predator could very well end up floating in the soup once more, should he prove too dangerous.

Kingston stepped in front of the cell again, watching the fluid drain. She had made a decision that would most likely alter her existance. She had been insubordinate, choosing to act on the morals programmed into her and the logic which had served her so well rather than doing only what she was told. It was an act of free will.

The bald android allowed a smile to creep across her face.

As the last of the preservitive fluid drained from the tank the cylinder cell's transparent walls retracted into the celing. The Predator hung limply from its shackled wrists, its heaving body dripping with the dark liquid. The beast slowly raised its stare from the floor to gaze upon its rescuer.
A Pyode Amedha? Saving me? How is this so...A female at that too-more dishonor to burden my weary shoulders. Will the payas not let me die in peace?
The hunter avoided eye contact. He held his head down again and stared submissivly at her feet.
I am shamed with her prescence. Why does she stare at me? Why does'nt she just run while she still can? Can she not hear them? Can she not hear their many footsteps in the night?
The Predator finally met her glance. His eyes burned with sorrow.
It seems the human, as I, will meet a horrible, painful death at the hands of the Kainde Amedha.

The renowned killing machine's lethargy was upsetting. Of all the predicted scenarios, this was not one of the likely ones. Kingston had envisioned thrashing and howling. She wasn't even positive the remaining bonds would hold the hunter should he decide to test their strength. Seeing it simply hang there wasn't right. It was as though the Predator had admitted defeat. It was sad.

Kingston's Predator knowledge was lacking, as was her information on the Xenos. Stationed on such a remote base, it was generally considered irrelevant data. So past the normal conversational information passed around there were no in-depth files on her memory. She had no idea what humiliation she was causing to the Predator.

She had to do more. That was clear. She couldn't leave him (Something so close to human had to be a "he," just as Kingston was a "she" in her own mind.) hanging and she had gone too far to bottle him back up again. That made her next action obvious. Showing the Predator her empty hands several times, she stepped back to the controls. A few simple button strokes had the remaining shackles removed and retracted into the ceiling.

Kingston stood perfectly still once the hunter was free, logic telling her to make no sudden moments. She showed her empty hands once more.

"Friend. Do you understand that? Friend."

Aliens, pt V.
The ground beneath the sentry towers began to shake violently. Ice was cracking and snow was splitting all around. The forward guard stared in utter confusion as the shaking became more destructive. They realized the source as they looked to the horizon.
A great, black wave was descending into the valley. The storming torrent was made up of a thousand hissing, roaring, feral beasts. There were hundreds-no, thousands of them, scurrying towards the wall with a unbelievably aggressive haste. The senties scrambled about on the wall, screaming for men to fall into position. The large-calliber chain loaded turrets were the first to react. The guards jerked their fingers on the dual triggers as the guns roared to life. Bright orange tracers errupted from their barrels as hundreds of brass casing rained over the side of the towers. The chain guns shook sparraticly and the gunners gripped them for dear life.
Large bullets spat out of the guns and bolted into the sea of Aliens. The shells entered their flesh at high velocitys, breaking bone and flaying skin, sending strips of torn flesh and gouts of acid blood into the air.
The horde did not cease. They pushed forward with an unimaginable ferocity, as if driven by a higher cause. Sil'veis roared with utter bloodlust as dozens around her were torn limb from limb by the turrets. More marines began to pile up behind the wall, each raising their rifles to the top of the wall and firing into the dark. On top of the gate, deployed sentry guns spat burning death into the endless horde. The monsters met the blaze head on. Hundreds of the beasts collapsed beneath the overwhelming firepower but they kept coming. They were now only a hundred yards from the wall.
...
The marines were so busy concentrating on the gate that they failed to notice the great hulk lumbering ever nearer to the wall. By the time the marines spotted the beast, it was too late...

Nan-de

We hit the ice solidly, the jar of if shaking my entire body. I hated the drop pods but they were the most efficiant way of getting to the surface without risking getting the Kainde Amedha on board.
I shoved my pod open, looking around to make sure my team was safe before setting off across the ice at a steady trot. Gadaba, and Tar'nithkis lead the way, as was appropriate. Despite being a few inches shorter they were both broader then I was through the shoulders and arms. Maybe not much stronger but they looked it at least.
I smiled and pressed on, thankful for my mask. It warmed the air I breathed in slighlty, a blessing in this cold world.

We topped a rise and Tar'nithkis motioned for us to halt. I panned around looking at the area below and was shocked for a moment. The entire human complex was surrounded by the Kaine Amedha, projectile weapsons flaring in the night as the two species fought, the humans for thier lives, the K.A for thier queen, wherever the heck she was.
I turned my gaze from the battle to the ground at its feet, soaked and puddled with the acidic blood and the crimson blood of both of the Yajuta's enemies. Made me glad I'd worn boots, despite the loss of the feel of the earth below me. I panned my vision over to something the humans were pointing at, and felt my heart stop for a moment then speed up in excitement.
"Tar'nithkis take a look at that thing, I bet we could mount its head on the ship's hull, its so big."

Thei De Guan

I roared myself as I unslung my spear gun and heard snickering and sneering, someone calling me a coward. I ignored the brutes as they ran towards the Kainde Amedha, I on the other hand moved to a slightly higher position, and zoomed in and started to take off Kainde Amedha warriors at the neck. Moving my sights to one, I popped its head off, and moved to the one behind it, taking its head off as well. I kept moving my sights higher and higher up, creating a line of trophies to be picked up, that finally got their attention and I noticed some of the Kainde Amedha started moving in my direction and realized the brutes were almost upon them and put the spear gun away. Roared again, and rushed off with smart discs in my hands.

Looking on Gadaba was shocked at the number of Kainde Amedha. "They must have taken an entire species to get such a large force." He said in low voice. In his minds eye he smiled as he thought of the honour this hunt could bring.

He spoted some Kainde Amedha breaking off from the main force and was charging right for wherehis group were. "Here comes compny." He cycled through to his infer-red vision and clicked buton on his let foream and his plasma caster poped up and locked on the closet warrior fast approching. He could get a through if lucky but most moved to fast, he got his pear-gun out nd was ready to switch to it.

"We need to find cover, we can not go hand-to-hand with such a large number." He wanted to have some hand-to-hand combat, but with such a large force of Kainde Amedha, such combat would be suicide.

Closer To The Prey

THE NIGHT SKY WAS A BLAZE WITH GUN FIRE, BRASS SHELLS, GUN SMOKE, AND A GROWING POOL OF ACID. “WE MOVE TOWARDS THE PREY. I HEAR THEIR SCREAMS. IT STIMULATES MY SKIN”. AS A DARK WAVE WE MOVES CLOSER AND CLOSER TO THE FRAGILE HUMAN, THEIR SWEAT DRIPS WITH FEAR. “MOVE FASTER, DODGE FIRE, FASTER, FASTER.”THE SOUNDS OF YELLING AND SCREAMING MIXED WITH GUN FIRE ECHOES OFF THE CLIFF AND SNOW. AN IMAGE OF A PREY FIGHTING FOR ITS LIFE IS PASSED BETWEEN THE COLLECTIVE. THEIR HEART RACING, THEIR BREATH MORE SHALLOW, AND QUICK. THEIR PULSE CAN BE HEARD FROM YARDS AWAY. “THE SOUNDS DEAFNING, OUR THOUGHTS RACING. AS ONE WE ROAR AND HISS THRASHING OUT TAILS AS WE RACE TOWARDS THE PREY AS WE DODGE IN AND OUT OF THE GUN FIRE DRAWING THE ATTENTION AWAY FROM SIL’VEIS, WHO LUMBERS OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE BARRICKS. STALKING OFF TO THE SIDE SLOWLY MOVING IN THE SHADOWS TO SPRING WITH ITS RAVOR SHARP CLAW. MY JAWS MOISEN THE CLOSER I GET.

Friend."

Marines, pt VIII.
As the thick shakles fell away from its limbs the beast collapsed to its knees, almost weak with shame. When the hunter looked up, he saw the female making the universal gestures for "ally".
Why would she do such a thing? Does she realize that unarmed she is humbled by my might?

Then the hunter's eyes flashed with a new ferocity.
This human is a sign from the payas! She can help me restore my honor. She can help me kill the traitor and avenge the deaths of my clan mates!
Nihkou'te stood quickly, his strength replenished. It was simply amazing; the creature had gone from shamefull and diminished to venegful and determined in seconds.
The moment was interrupted when the doors at the end of the hallway slid open. Four figures stood in the doorway, weapons raised.
"You did'nt think I would simply just let you waltz in here and steal my greatest specimen did you?" Dr. Pulvid shook his head before continuing. "I've seen some horrible, ill-planned actions before, but from a synthetic? I thought better of you Kingston." Max moved to the front of the group, his gun pointing right at her chest.
"I am personally taken aback by your actions, 219-C. I never would have dreamed that an artifical person such as your self could undertake such irrational behavior." Max looked disapointed. "Brash Kingston, so very brash." As Max finished, the two mercenaries at his sides began to advance.
Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Nihkou'te's muscles tense. Max continued. "Why do you fight for such a hopeless cause? The specimen is beaten and broken. He's got no fight in him. He did not even struggle when we gave him the injections." Max flashed a truely cynical smile. "But he did howl when the serum reached his blood stream."
Max raised his pistol to her head. "Goodbye Kingston." As Max's finger approached the trigger, there was a great SCREECH as metal was torn from the wall. The corporates had failed to notice the hunter, in his rage, rip his steel shakles from the cell. before Max could react, the enraged Predator swung the great chains at him, the heavy bond ends connecting with his face with a loud CRUNCH!
White blood spewed from his mouth as his artifical jaw was shattered against the concrete wall. The guards raised their carbines in response but Nihkou'te whipped them across the faces with the heavy shakles sending a thick, red mist spraying into the air. When their bodies hit the ground, Pulvid panicked. He tried to run but the hunter had him in his grip. Nihkou'te tossed the doctor across the hall like a limp rag doll. Pulvid hit an adjacent cage with incredible force sending him hurtiling through the glass panel. Four men down in three seconds.
They never had a chance.

Predator, pt VII.
The arbiter grinned beneath his mask. "We will need the combined strength of the enitre clan to bring that beast to its knees." Tar'nithkis turned to his warriors. "Follow my lead and stay on my trail. Assuming Ta'voc is following his instincts, he will be clearing a path through the Kainde Amedha to follow the abomination." Tar'nithkis pointed to his trainees. "You will go out to meet him, out in the fray of battle. I will lead you to the abomination, but only Paya himself will lead you away from it this day."
The arbiter turned to Nan-de. "If you look closely, there is a drone at the front of the horde, the pack leader surely. That drone is guiding them to the gate. Nan-de, do you think you can get close enough to it to take her out? My warriors will clear a path for you but she is guarded by preatorian guards. Once you get in range, bring her down." Tar'nithkis turned to Gadaba. "In order for this to work, the preatorian guards must be slain. They are fierce, unholy Kainde Amedha that stop at nothing to vanquish the enemies of the Queen. I need you to charge with my Blooded warriors into the column and draw the alpha warrior's royal guards from her side. I only pray that you can keep them busy long enough for Nan-de to kill their general. Gadaba, you will have your hand-to-hand combat soon enough."
With that, the arbiter raised his spear to the sky and shouted for all his clan to hear. "Payas Leitjin-de Hma'mi-de and you can conquer U'sl-kwe!" The warriors threw back their heads and cheered before charging headlong into the fray.

The hive was succesful in drawing the marine's firepower to themselves, allowing for the ravager to reach the wall. The tower gunner had less than a split second to turn before he fell in the the wake of a hulking, black shadow. The ravager swung its thick set of blades at the tower, bringing all its weight and strength into the swing. The tower exploded in a hail of concrete and steel splinters. The marines screamed as they were thrown into the air only to be silenced as they plummeted to the frozen earth with heavy THUDS. The great abomination planted a thundering kick into the tower's base supports. The heavy steel supports faultered underneath the beast's great weight.
The marines on the wall decisivly switched targets as a hail of rubble rained down upon them from over the wall. They let loose a barrage of devastating gunfire. To their horror, the hulking behemoth shook the bullets off as it charged their position. The marines watched as thousands of large-caliber rounds reflected off the beast's heavy chitin armor and fell back to the ground.
There was a quick flare in the night as a guard atop an adjacent tower launched a rocket at the monstrocity. The beast took the rocket head on.
There was a large explosion of smoke and acid as the rpg ripped through the ravager's shoulder, tearing off strips of muscle and skin. Hot acid splashed from its deep wounds and dribbled down its razor-sharp blades. The abomination bellowed out a blood-boiling roar as it raised its heavy sythes and charged the battlment. By the time the marines had emptied their clips, the monstrosity was upon them.

Predator, pt VIII.
Thei-de watched as Ta'voc and his minions leapt into the sea of claws and teeth. Ta'voc extended his blades in mid-flight and landed in the midst of the Kainde Amedha. A fountain of boiling blood errupted from the column of creatures as Ta'voc's lethal blades peirced the throats of the beasts around him. The drones let out blood-curling shrieks as they crumpled to the ground in deep pools of their own blood.
Accross the great column, Thei-de could see the others making their way towards the gate. Below him, Ta'voc was shouting to his brutes.
'Keep fighting! Swing your blades until they have gone dull with acid! Fire your burners untill the energy is dry!" Ta'voc cried as he decaptitated a drone with his spear.
"Thei-de you runt! Cover our backs, the Kainde Amedha are coming for our blood! Can you keep them off, or is this too tough of a job for a runt such as yourself?!" Ta'voc grinned under his mask at his words.
