Alien vs Predator Campaign: Recruiting

Hey peoples.

Internet access is spotty, though my puter's alive again, making things easier.
So posting'll still be sporotic but should be better.
*bows*
Thanks for your patience.

And that cyborg thing? Um, from a medical stand point- fusing a human with machine parts, okay. But if the military could fuse a human with predator stuff then why aren't all the soldiers using predator-morphed technology? Its obviously got some superior aspects, like cloaking and such, so why aren't all of them using it?
The fusing would require a deep understanding of the predator technology- its completely different from human because the requirements of the predator society are vastly different then human societies.
So if he can come up with a background to this- maybe a secret facility on a backwater planet where the human gov't can hide its human experimations (which most humans are strongly against even today), it'd help a lot. Also could give flesh to the character.
Maybe a corporation that works with the military on contract but isn't bound by its moral codes that did the fusing as a "hey ya think this would work" kind of thing.
Okay, I'm done. Laters!

That's cool, congrats. for the comp being up, how's it going?
maybe he could simply be a prototype model ??? still in testing stages.

Thanks on the puter. In trying to fix my wireless, did something HP said to do which screwed it up so bad my system restore didn't work. Managed to beat it back into submission, restore it (screwed up my WOW install) and such. So its happy once more.

yeah, in general customer service suck a lot, they don't necessarily have staff that are actually computer savy, and well, you know what that can be like. Next time, call the wireless card people, they might be able to help you more.

I agree. He better have some good reasons and a decent background for his character. I sent him a pm about it, hopefully that will clear things up.

Well, I managed to screw up the OS- my start-bar and all, I really mean ALL of my programs were screwy if they'd even open at all.
Twas quite vexing.

Still, I think it may just not have liked the D-Link POS my dad uses.

good point

biggest problem is you don't know what the cause is, cuz there's too many possibilities

Could be the lack of SP 2, which I've refused to install up to this point. Looks like I'm going to have to now. *sighs*
But there are worse things, like no start-menu. So I can live with SP2... long as it doesn't screw up Mozilla, LOL.

I love Mozilla. It's so awesome!
I have tried many different internet explorers and that is my fav by far.

Mozilla! Word, yo.

Did some of my own research on the SADAR, hopefully it's accurate. And is it coincidence that Kingston should land in such deep dung on the XIII post? I think not.

okay villani I'm confused on what happened, are both my blades broken? because you said blades, and well I only have one single long blade per hand. So what happened to my right hand? did the preatorian dodge the blade to his neck or what?

Each wrist blade (at least that I've ever heard of) consists of a two parallel blades that extend from the wrist gauntlet. Basically you only lost your left gauntlet.
About the second punch, you were thrown off balance by the attack and it didn't go over.

(About your post, sorry to pick on you. You are fighting one of the real baddies.)

The SADAR is not enough to bring down the beast. You are in deep dung indeed, now it's pissed.

I have made like 40 posts in the last 48 hours. I'm not sure if anyone noticed but the rpg has rapidly quickened pace.

I have done so many recently that I'm sure my posting quality has gone down. Let me know if you find anything wrong or notice anything you don't like in the new posts.

meh, I don't mind being "picked on"

true most are two some are three, in my character description I opted for a single blade per arm because of the nature of type of fighting, I thought it would go well with the character, which was basically customization.

oh another thing since you said it smashed my left forearm components, what about the nuke that is there, and the armor? am I to assume the armor went into my bone? and that the nuke didn't blow up?

Yeah, tried firefox once and went right back to Mozilla. I like the personalizable bar- got all my "frequently checked sites" on tabs there. Push a button and off it goes to Lit or my bank or whereever. Nice that.

And have managed to avoid SP 2 yet again. Muahahahahhaha... or something like that. Not a big fan of windows update crap- seems to me that people who get crap are the ones with all the updtates who use IE and visit lotsa dirty porn sites, LOL.

actually it's mainly the people who use IE, not so much the updates, I don't have that many problems, and I think I upgraded I dunno. lol

Right, I automaticly assumed you had dual-bladed weapons ('i've never heard of three or one before in the tradtional avp universe).
About the nuke, the nuke does'nt explode when it physically breaks (for example, a nuclear missle doesn't go off if it hits the gound and is not detonated.) The nuke itslef can still be activated, but the wrist gauntlet that triggers the explosion is broken, leaving it inactive until you find a way to fix it or set it off another way.

The armor part of the message confused me though. The only armor covering your upper limbs are gauntlets and (from your bio) small plates covering your forearms. Whatever the case is, the armor is torn from your wrist (though the armor doesn't go straight into your bone).
And about the wrist wound, surgery is possible with the Yaujta medical kit but it will require a fully-functional wrist gauntlet (not yours as it is in pecies) and some free time.

I hope I answered everything.

well the armor covers my forearms, so I was assuming if he smashed right into my arm destroying the blade because the armor would still wrap my arm where does it go? does it come off? or does it get smashed into my arm?

I have every single Windows XP update, and I haven't been hacked or had a virus for 2 years.
