What an ugly race we saw today!!!!
40+ laps of caution because Ryan knocked a couple of cones out on the apron of the track???? I know they had scoring and placement issues for the restart but good grief!!!! I am just glad it is over!!

Yeah it was ugly! And the restart sure cost a lot of drivers.
Yes, my friend, I did watch the whole thing! Aren't you proud of me!!

 the Queen
Oh, nobody came and looked at the house this week-end:(

Well heck, If i had known you were going to watch it , i would have come over sand watched it with ya. I just sat here all by myself and watched it. I dont know though, you might think I am crazy if we watched a race together, i get upset sometimes and "talk" to the TV, LOL.

"talking" to the tv

(looking around at all the NASCAR fans)
Ok, now everybody....who doesn't talk to the tv during a race?!

My fav quote from the interviews yesterday: I ran outta talant out there.

Power Rankings

Sorry I am a little late with these this week!!

1 3 Dale Earnhardt Jr. He was named Daytona International Speedway’s president for a day. Dale Jr. used his new-found powers to announce that Daytona would hold 30 additional Nextel Cup events in 2005.
2 5 Tony Stewart He says his "car really liked to be up front in clean air.” Which why is Tony’s been knockin’ them out of the way this year. He just needs some of that clean air.
3 1 Jimmie Johnson Jimmie, you don’t want to build up a 456-point lead anyway, because it will just disappear in September.
4 2 Matt Kenseth He said he does not like riding around under caution for 40 straight laps. Which explains why he’s never gotten into a groove at Bristol.
5 8 Kasey Kahne That was crazy, him spinning in the oil like that. It looked like a Super Mario Kart race, where you put down the banana peel so the leader will spin out.
6 4 Jeff Gordon Jeff Gordon was pretty mad about not having soft walls. And Ryan Newman was mad about not having soft walls in the pits.
7 7 Ryan Newman He says he’s heard “Hello Newman” about “five or six” times. And that’s just from Roger Penske.
8 11 Mark Martin His win at Dover was a lot like his sponsor’s motto. You just got to be in the right place at the right time.
9 9 Jamie McMurray He said that Dover “looked like an ARCA race.” And Jamie was pretty much right, because an unsponsored car finished fourth, and some seats were unfilled.
10 6 Bobby Labonte He should run that D-Day paint scheme every spring at Dover. That was great to see.
11 10 Elliott Sadler He got nailed at Dover by Kurt Busch. Jeff Burton probably wanted to trade paint with him too, but there was none on the No. 99 Ford to trade.
12 14 Jeremy Mayfield Man, did you see how fat his dogs were? Good thing he’s been running so well lately. It must cost thousands just keeping ‘em fed.
13 15 Michael Waltrip Michael, no! DEI can’t let you go! You just got all those new commercials finished!
14 12 Kurt Busch He’s still got one fewer top-five finish than Robby Gordon.
15 13 Rusty Wallace Well, Mark Martin won, so he probably won't ever get to match Rusty's (since broken) triple-digit losing streak, much to the disdain of the media.
16 16 Kevin Harvick “It's hard not to laugh, but it's kind of funny," he said after the race at Dover. He was either referring to the big wreck, or Jeff Hammond wearing a turtleneck in June.
17 18 Robby Gordon It’s June. Which means it’s a month where he can get a win. And we don’t mean at Pocono.
18 20 Brian Vickers Poor guy’s got to go to Pocono. He’ll have a lot of time to learn how to drive the tricky layout, because there is simply not much else there for a 20-year-old kid to do.
19 21 Dale Jarrett Since Michael Waltrip has been running so well, Jarrett is the new leader in the I’m-seen-more-during-commercials-than during-the-actual-race ratio.
20 17 Sterling Marlin We love Sterling. He’s just a good ‘ol boy. If everyone were like him, the media wouldn’t have to report on J-Lo’s marriages, because no one would care.
21 22 Ward Burton Our boss at NASCAR.COM is going to attempt to learn how to shoot clay pigeons from Ward on Thursday. We’re serious. And Ward thought Dover was frustrating.
22 19 Greg Biffle That transmission problem at Fontana a month ago really killed a lot of his team’s momentum. Or it could just be that his team can’t stop laughing when they see Doug Richert being sprayed with Coca-Cola.
23 25 Terry Labonte He was the only Hendrick car in the top 10 at Dover. And the only one without his own commercial.
24 23 Casey Mears He’s going to play himself on an episode of Days of Our Lives. We’re not making this up. In the episode, Mears helps crash John Black by dumping oil all over a Salem highway.
25 NR Jeff Burton He was not too happy that Ricky Rudd helped push Ryan Newman back to the pits. But Ricky’s a smart guy. He knew that Newman would repay him by pushing him during Bud Pole Qualifying on at Pocono.

Clean air...yeah, yeah, clean air...that's the ticket

7 7 Ryan Newman He says he’s heard “Hello Newman” about “five or six” times. And that’s just from Roger Penske.

Ryan Newman isn't old enough to remember that show

13 15 Michael Waltrip Michael, no! DEI can’t let you go! You just got all those new commercials finished!

I'm still in shock

19 21 Dale Jarrett Since Michael Waltrip has been running so well, Jarrett is the new leader in the I’m-seen-more-during-commercials-than during-the-actual-race ratio.

Ain't that the truth :rolleyes: [/b}

nearly a quarter of the MBNA 400 at Dover International Speedway was run under caution two weekends ago.

Sunday's Pocono 500 far outdid Dover, as 56 laps, or 28 percent of the race's 200 laps were consumed by caution.

In my opinion this is not acceptable !!!

Tuesdays Power rankings

1 3 Jimmie Johnson Whoa. It was a good thing he won that race. If not, an entire Lowe’s franchise might have come flying out of the stands.

2 1 Dale Earnhardt Jr. We’re not sure why he said those things about Michael Waltrip. Maybe he wanted to stop being asked to star in all those Napa commercials.

3 10 Bobby Labonte His crew repaired an oil line in about five minutes. In our hometown, it took three weeks, and you’d still have to carry a case of motor oil in your trunk until you got rid of the car.

4 6 Jeff Gordon He apologized to the fans at Pocono after the race. And that was just for his performance on Regis and Kelly.

5 12 Jeremy Mayfield On NASCAR Drivers 360, his dogs are always asleep. Which means he never gives them any of that Mountain Dew he’s got stockpiled.

6 2 Tony Stewart This is the latest point in the year (excluding his rookie year) where he has not won yet.

7 4 Matt Kenseth They might have to call it the Gillette Fined Guns.

8 9 Jamie McMurray His segments have not debuted on NASCAR Drivers 360 yet. Does it take that long to get his hair done?

9 8 Mark Martin His last three races: 36th. 1st. 36th. Which means he will win at Michigan and barely beat Jim Inglebright at Sonoma.

10 7 Ryan Newman Man, his year is just getting worse. Now, with Kasey Kahne winning the Bud Pole at Pocono, he does not lead the series in poles anymore. Of course, he’ll win it on Friday.

11 5 Kasey Kahne His hair is starting to get downright shaggy. But it’s easily fixable. He doesn’t even need to leave the shop. He can just go to Jeremy Mayfield for help.

12 17 Robby Gordon He’s pretty good at Michigan too, so he’s got a really good shot to score three straight top-10 finishes heading into Daytona.

13 14 Kurt Busch That was his first top-five since winning at Bristol. And just his fourth since the Jimmy Spencer incident.

14 13 Michael Waltrip “I am just amazed that somebody could do something that stupid," Waltrip said at Pocono. Wasn’t sure whether he was taking about the crash, or whether he might get fired despite two Daytona 500 wins.

15 16 Kevin Harvick Or they might have to call it the Gillette Young Guns on Probation until Dec. 31.

16 11 Elliott Sadler He’s never had a top-10 finish at Michigan. And since we pointed that out, he’s sure to break that streak this weekend.

17 23 Terry Labonte Terry, if you have not felt young in awhile, we are pretty sure you felt like it when you were passing Dale Earnhardt Jr. at Pocono. For shizzle.

18 24 Casey Mears Much to our great disappointment, he really didn’t do anything NASCAR Drivers 360 that warranted any ridicule.

19 18 Brian Vickers He’s 19th in points, putting him dangerously on the line where he is flirting with his age in points. As is Kirk Shelmerdine.

20 19 Dale Jarrett There is light at the end of the Tunnel Turn. Unfortunately, it was his engine on fire.

21 15 Rusty Wallace Man, Michael Waltrip was pretty mad at him. But let’s face.it. Rusty’s brake failure saved them both from dozens of agonizing caution laps.

22 22 Greg Biffle Well, at least he can offer advice to his teammate about how to deal with a run-in with Kevin Harvick.

23 25 Jeff Burton His qualifying stats have declined each year since 1998, and his 27th-place starting spot this year is easily his worst since he joined Roush full-time eight years ago.

24 23 Ward Burton He’s got five straight finishes of 20th or better, which has moved him up three spots in the standings to 21st. Which means he would win the title if there were 35 races left in the 2004 season.

25 NR Scott Riggs The reverse Track Smack jinx lives. Every driver we have on Track Smack does better on the track after his appearance, and Riggs is no exception. Pre Track Smack average finish: 29th. Post Track Smack average finish: 12th.
