So far white women are proven to underperform white men in positions of power. White men are assaulted more, shot by police more, and generally punished more by every quantifiable measure. While only committing 1/3 the number of homicides each year!

Here's one privilege accorded to whitey;
Whitey never has to pay dues to the Nation of Islam, nor sit through speeches by the Honorable Louis Farrakhan.

So there's that.

I'd wager 'daddy' earns upwards of of six figures, probably not on the low end of the bar either.

Of course, you did miss the part where her brother got seven years of jail time. I guess her brother wasn't nearly as white, otherwise this anecdote doesn't at all fit the narrative, does it?

In fact, this particular piece not only doesn't fit the "white privilege" narrative, it doesn't really fit the "male privilege" narrative either.

This is what happens when the 'feels' are given more weight than the "reals" (aka facts), such as the biggest fact with this story; It Happened in the United Kingdom, not the USA!

It's rich privilege you dumb fool. I'm not going to deny that there are certain biases in favour of white people in certain instances, but to claim that said biases is universal and all-pervasive is conspiratorial crap on stupidity-par with saying the moon landing was faked. I don't get any monthly doll because I'm white, I'm not exempt from following any laws because I'm white, I don't get judicial leniency, I don't earn more, I don't get prioritized by health services or schools or employers, I don't even really get a say in how the government is going to directly affect my life. All because I'm not rich and nobody cares about my race and the entire world is stacked in favour of the rich elite and against the common folk.

Everything I've seen from the first few pages I read does not seem to ever indicate the existence of a pervasive 'white privilege. Instead of empty rhetoric I'd like to see some actual evidence that white supremacy is still a large, relevant and pervasive issue in the USA please. And just to be clear; I'd like to think that I'm quite up-to-date with the factual breakdown of race intertwined with socio-economics in the USA, not a right winger who would claim that black people collectively have it A-OK in America. Utter trash obviously. I just have yet to see anything that would prove that there is still widespread discrimination and bias against minority groups and an uplifting of white people, purely due to race, outside of small cherry-picked groups.

I'd also like to mention that the huge disparity between black-on-black crime and white-on-white crime is not an indicator of any 'privilege', it's an indicator of poverty. If you think the meagre socioecomic status of black communities is 'white privilege', check your definitions. You're wrong. That's literally the clearest textbook example of rich privilege possible. Poor race relations caused it, but they don't perpetuate it.

Note to that highlighted point - there's not really going to be any actual changing of hearts or minds here. Very rarely have I ever seen someone on one side of the gate flip their stance and say, "hey, you know what, you're right. You've made me see something I hadn't considered." or, "I disagree personally from my experience, but I can feel your point because it's happening to you and not to me." Personalities who come here aren't actually looking to learn, they just wanna talk, yap, gab. That's what online forums are structured to be, after all. I've put in a lot of past mileage here on telling the real deal about this subject, battling heads, doing never-ending tennis matches...and it seriously gets draining...so it's gonna be mostly showing from now on. You guys are free to accept or dismiss as thou pleaseth.

I also don't have the access to Lit as I once did before and am on the go/out of home more than before, so constructive back-n-forth discussions in real time isn't so viable for me. Other heads have better space in their days during the week to write Great Gatsby-length screeds and scripts. An unwritten rule of forum-ing is those who post the most rule the roost. For good or ill. I don't gots that berth or sit-in-chair stamina.
