White people probably do commit more total crimes, but that is because they are still a majority. Per capita, black people commit more crimes than white, and that includes more violent crimes. Some white school kids probably don't give a shit, but that is more likely to describe black kids, who are more apt to drop out of school. Of course, those are individuals and are not representative of the whole race.
