Americans favor Sanders over Trump

We have a caste system that isn't much different from the one in India.

You mean if you try marrying someone from another state, your family will kill you with stones?

I know what you are talking about but such exaggerations are useless.

As for Sweden, Denmark and Norway... these are 3 separate countries, you know :p In general, their corporate tax rate is way lower than in the USA, yep other taxes are much higher but the picture is a bit more complicated.

Norway can hardly be compared to anything. They are only 5 million and have a huge oil income. Taxes there can even 90% and they will still make enough $$ to distribute all that between their population.

Sweden have gone a bit too far with socialism. There is a reason why a lot of Swedes go to Norway to work while the opposite is rarely the case. Crime rates in Sweden are much higher than in Norway.

I kinda like Denmark though.

As for Obamacare - it is FAR from perfect but it is funny how after bashing it for years, the Republicans have not been able to come with a decent replacement. I wonder what they have been doing, honestly.

Nearly every single school district has charter schools. The charters schools are under performing against public schools...

Capitalist Jesus FAIL!

I can't speak for other locales, but I do know the charter school here performs head and shoulders above the public schools.
But I'm no fan of charters. In Arizona, as near as I can tell, charters are merely public schools with a waiting list. They are also less tolerant of bad behavior, and that's a plus.
I prefer vouchers.
If you want to point to a fail, the direction would be toward the pathetic public schools. Big Government Jesus Fail.

France and Italy have not failed and are not failing and are not socialist, only to some extent social-democratic; the difference is important. Venezuela is something a lot nearer to socialist, and for them it don't work so good, but social democracy works just fine.

Italy is one of the PIIGS...

If you consider being on that list as a success.

And Italy did go full-on Socialist under the label Fascism and they failed.

France has roughly the GDP of Wisconsin sans any sense of humility or shame...

So you want to give vouchers for schools that don't exist?

That's an interesting plan, and some real California dreamin!

Obamacare IS the republican plan for health care.

The republican's can't come up with anything else, because it was their plan.

How did the Republicans fool all of the Democrats into voting for the ACA without votes from themselves being needed?

Those indices are about the larger global picture.

No, they are not. They fragment reality exactly so as you no longer grow your brain to see it all for yourself, and realize the true reality.

There is a limit to how much help you will get.

Why Bernie Sanders is the most popular politician in the United States

Bernie Sanders has the highest approval rating of any politician in the country with 61 percent approving, while only 32 percent disapproving, according to a March 15 Fox News poll. The Sanders 29 plus percent favorable/unfavorable gap is far superior to Trump’s negative 8 percent.

What accounts for Sanders popularity and how can progressives build on it?

Bernie Sanders has been saying the same things for nearly a half-century. He’s been a consistent democratic-socialist fighting in behalf of working people and against financial/corporate power. While his straightforward commitment to his ideals is refreshingly genuine, he did not make his mark on the national scene until last year at age 74.

Sanders didn’t change but the world did.

His message about the ravages and unfairness of runaway inequality hit home because it is true. He and his campaign became the next phase of the revolt against the one percent initiated by the remarkable, yet short-lived, Occupy Wall Street.

Sanders took this discontent many steps forward by clearly articulating a social-democratic agenda for working people. He turned “We are the 99%” into a clear policy agenda. That agenda, not just his enormous integrity, is why he remains so popular.

And there's this:

Last week Sen. Bernie Sanders did something that many liberals would have probably considered a waste of time, holding a town hall-style meeting in a coal mining county in West Virginia where voters had overwhelmingly cast ballots for Trump. During the meeting one person expressed support for universal health care and said he had voted for Trump “solely because he said he was going to help us,” adding, “he was going to put the coal miners back to work, and we’re going to have health care and this and that.” Rather than disparaging this man as an ignorant hick — the natural impulse for many liberals in such a situation — Sanders respectfully informed him and the audience that Trumpcare would result in millions of people losing their health insurance while giving the wealthiest Americans a massive tax cut. By the end of the town hall meeting, Sanders had seemingly won over the entire crowd.

Sanders is the real deal. That's why Trump was terrified to run against him, and wanted Clinton instead.

That's also why so many in the (D) 'establishment' don't want him anywhere near their corrupt ass's and did all they could to sink him.

Yep. True statement. This country is all around fucked.

Between that and the CA (D)'s absolutely selling out the pot market to the elite rich (D)'s only club shoving thousands of cottage farmers back into the black market for no other reason than arbitrary greed......I'm done with both parties.

I wanted to believe, like Mulder level of believing.

But it's all lies ....R....D.... doesn't matter, they are all in it for themselves, so just get yours and get as much as you can while you can.

Anyone dependent on R or D is going to be left with their metaphorical dick in their hand at the end of the day when it's all said and done.

I thought Colonel Sanders was dead.
Either way, I bet Americans favor KFC over Trump.

I agree totally. Our two party system has morphed into the rich vs the rich. Neither party gives a single fuck about the people who voted for them.Except, and you'll disagree with me, Bernie. He's certainly not perfect but he's the closest to a non politician that we've seen in decades.
