AmPic Thread, Yay or Nay?

So, would I...? How do I go about it? Is there an ettiquette to it? Must I photo the cock? Would not doing so be poor taste? Would doing only that also be poor taste?

You do it however you want, really. The photos and your choice of content all reflect that much more info about you. If you wanted to post only tasteful photos some people would see that as chicken, some would see it as artistic, while others would see it as snobbish. Really, there's no saying who will like what, but as the pictures are only put up by your desire, it's entirely up to you.

It's a good idea to clarify from the start what you are or are not going to do. While it is your prerogative to change your mind, that way people know what to expect and aren't disappointed... or shocked, or bursting into tears if you turn down their requests.

Has anyone else ever played with the idea of starting a thread in the AmPic forum? I know a few of you have threads, what made you decide to start posting? Are you just exploring your exhibitionist side, or something else?

I'm considering it, but ... pffft. I don't know. I've shared a few risque avatars here, but it seems different to have an entire thread dedicated to risque photos. I've only ever shared stuff privately before, and this seems like opening myself up to the whole world.

Thoughts? Comments?

I've toyed with the idea, but tbh I'm not anything special (no, I'm not fishing) and the way my head is right now I'd get too dependant on comments on a pic thread to keep me going. Or bring me down.

Maybe another day... if I can convince the Fiance to hold the camera he has a brilliant artistic streak. Now if I can only find a scanner...

Another good point. While it might be a nice ego boost, it might also become an addicting ego boost, and depending on others to determine how I feel about myself does not sound like a good scenario. I, too, would be susceptible to this, JL.

I've had a couple of pic threads. One was very long and I had a blast with it. Got to know lots of fun people through it.

Mine was not like many other pic threads though, I think majority of it was me just experimenting with photography and self-portraits. I was clothed 90% of the time, and showing mainly my face. At the very end I dared to do nudes, but I never showed it all, so to speak. I don't regret that thread, it was fun, but I'm not sure if I'd start a new one. Maybe in the future if the creativity strikes...

I am considering starting one...I worked for a time as a nude model and always enjoyed the work, even after the glam wore off and it became just a way to put beans on the table. Some people did try to take advantage of this poor little naive boy.

I took the plunge.


I can't say as I will always have my pictures up, but for now, it continues to be a good experience. If you'd known the road I've walked for a good portion of my life, you'd know this is a sort of victory for me to be able to do this. Shyness, vulnerability, feelings of powerlessness and fear of rejection have held me in check for years; In the end I did this for me, and that feels damned good.
