Advice from an anal ninny

That would be me. Of course, the fact that the first person who tried anal with me was hung like the proverbial horse didn't help! Getting fucked the usual way was a challenge in some positions.

Here's what finally worked for me:
1) when you think you've used enough lube, use more
2) start with a toy that's very narrow at the tip and very gradually tapered
3) (this is assuming you're with a partner) Using a finger (well-manicured and gloved), start with some lube and gentle but persistent pressure. Use very, very small inward motions. The anus will respond eventually and 'wink'--the sphincter will relax. Push inward just a bit more and rest there
4) repeat 3, several times until the finger has achieved reasonable penetration.
5) when it hurts, stop, still. Your partner shouldn't withdraw, they'll have to start all over again. Just have them be still. Meanwhile, you just breathe deep and get used to the sensation without any pressure (physical or otherwise )
6) When the pain subsides, begin forging ahead
7) Once you're relaxed with a finger, switch to the toy
8) repeat the above. Set small goals for penetration, don't try to take some mammoth thing all at once.
9) genital stimulation at the same time REALLY helps. For women, having a "forward" orgasm first (or during) makes everything relax considerably. I've been rather surprised, sometimes, by how the toy will suddenly pop right in after I've cum.

Help your partner to ease it in nice and slow. Slowwww. Breaking through gradually a centimeter at a time. once they're in, things should go fairly smoothly, provided they have NOT tensed up all your muscles to begin with by ram-rodding in there. That's my experience.
