And so it begins.

You're surely going to mis-label me for this, but if you think the economy is improving you are a seriously brainwashed individual.
By every number posted, it ts. And rather significantly.

Are there bumps and glitches? Of course.

Are they layoffs? Yes. Always have been. Always will be.

Second, nothing is "under" Biden...he makes zero decisions, but I hate him for allowing himself to be the puppet. You probably think you know my politics and....I will assure you that you most certainly do not. And? It doesn't matter.
What specific measures have been used to determine the economic health of the country? What do those measures say now?

Maybe try to answer objectively on this one.

They are triggered. Just sit back and enjoy while poking with a stick from time to time.

^ this.

It's especially fun when you use a custom made carbon fiber stick to poke with.

Just be sure you don't poke your own eye out, kid.

Lol, Janet Yellen disagrees with you and I think she probably has a bit more expertise and knowledge of the subject than you do.

Janet Yellen on the economy:

Though some forecasters thought a recession last year was inevitable, President Biden and I did not. Instead of contracting, the economy has continued to grow, driven by American workers and President Biden’s economic strategy. It now produces far more goods and services than it did before the pandemic. The data released just this morning shows strong economic growth in 2023, including in the last quarter of the year: 3.1 percent over the course of the year. At the same time, inflation has come down significantly. Consumer sentiment has increased by 29 percent since November, the biggest two month increase since 1991. It’s now at its highest level since 2021. And the labor market is healthy. The prime-age labor force participation rate is up over two percentage points from January 2021 and was above its pre-pandemic peak for all of 2023. The unemployment rate is near historic lows. It has been below 4 percent for 23 months now, a stretch that has not been seen during the last 50 years.

From her remarks on Jan 25th. I recommend everyone read it.

Someone doesn't know how to read between the lines. For example;

Consumer sentiment has increased by 29 percent since November, the biggest two month increase since 1991. It’s now at its highest level since 2021.

"Two month increase" yet Biden has been Prez for 3.5 YEARS. "Highest level since 2021" which means that it's the highest since Biden took office.

These are not phrases which denote the economy is robust and strong, only that despite the reality (as Yellen recently said) that "high prices are likely here to stay" the economy is resilient enough to weather the current economic stagnation if given enough time to do so.

In sum; inflation went through the roof because of Biden's domestic policies. That it is now starting to level off way up there in the stratosphere doesn't mean it's improving only that it's less horrible. If you can actually understand what Yellen said you also understand that this is the message she is imparting.

I've been out working in the most remote part of the wilderness for several days. Tell me, did the civil war in Texas already take place? Did I miss anything?

'Member when they said everything was super perfect 'under Donny'?

'Member when they said everything was super perfect 'under Shrub'?

'Member when they said everything was super perfect 'under Ronnie'?

Derpy Mason could have APOLOGIZED in a lot less words.

😑

Derpy Mason is a terrible "lawyer", and worse economist.

😑

👉 Derpy Mason 🤣

🇺🇸

Side note:

According to RWCJ "members" like Derpy Mason, the economy under President Biden was supposed to have crashed IMMEDIATELY upon him taking office. Even QUALIFIED economists had predicted a deep recession in LATE 2021, 2022 AND 2023. - But lo and behold, President Biden’s economic policies still prevailed, even in the face of an MAGAt insurrection, attempts by right wing domestic traitors to tank the economy with trucker blockades over a life saving vaccine during a pandemic, right wing congressional traitors engaging in economic brinksmanship over government funding and paying the national debt, and Putin’s attempt to sink the U.S. economy with a war of choice in Ukraine. And now, QUALIFIED economists are PREDICTING a mild recession in early 2024 with a soft landing likely.

😑

Thanks President Biden!!!

👍

...current economic stagnation...
Hmmm, that doesn't seem quite right. What's economic stagnation, again?

Stagnation is a prolonged period of little or no growth in an economy often highlighted by periods of high unemployment. A rate of growth of less than 2-3% annually as measured by gross domestic product (GDP) is considered stagnation.

But the unemployment rate is 3.7%, and GDP grew at 4.9 and 3.3% the last two quarters.

Poor Derpy. Gets his ass handed to him every time he posts.

In 2023 the economy grew faster than in any of Trump’s years in office. The economy is strong, and there is no hidden subtext in Yellen’s statement. You conspiracy nuts are so funny.

Those right wing “conspiracy nuts” stopped being “funny” and started being dangerous a looooong time ago.

*nods*

Oh, I don't know. When they say that Alina Habba is a deep-state plant placed into the Trump legal team to make him bankrupt now that's funny.

OK, that IS funny - but ultimately dangerous when you follow things to their logical conclusion.

When paranoid conspiracy nuts get to the point where they believe EVERYONE is part of the "evil plot", they usually start acting out violently.

(I worked in forensic psychiatry / psychology treating some of the worst paranoid conspiracy nuts in existence for maaaaaany years, so I know the warning signs).

Masochism runs deep inside Derpy.

So, MAGAts, will Tennessee also be part of your civil war now that you know Taylor Swift is part of the Deep State?
