Like officially they are supposed to be tempting towards temptation or moving mortals away from sin, but that’s the day job. Off the clock, they can mess with mortals within reason (maybe the rule is any sin commited with an angel or demon is fine).

So the two of them pick a guy who can handle a bit of a disturbance and has the potential to be a great lover and they tease him while concocting a fake story about how he must choose a life of love or lust…yada yada yada, with either path leading to a threesome

I imagine an amusing tale could be told of the dude with the classic angel and devil on his shoulders, walking him through a first date or some other stressful sexual situation. Big Bang Theory did a short version of that with George Takei and Katee Sackhoff.

Although, I kind of like the idea of the "angel" being a strict, dominant figure, employing a lot of disciplinary measures under the guise of making the MC a better person or something.

This is how I depict angels and demons in my universe, except both angels and demons are bound by a cosmic logic that judge their actions. Nevertheless, both angels and demons are equally as bad in my universe since they don't act upon human logic or morality, let alone interest.

If angel succeeds, then he has to let himself give into temptation. If however he failed, and the Devil lost the bet, then the devil had to make sure that the abusive guy was one of the souls he took that night.

Desperate to live, he prays to Heaven for relief.

A few minutes later, Angel Lola arrives, wearing an outfit similar to what one would find at a Halloween college frat party.

Lola cuddles the young, wayward soul to her bountiful, heaven-blessed breasts and says..

“I don’t know who you are. But I know what you want. I can tell you I don’t have money, but what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long existence. Skills that make me a nightmare for demons like the one who visited you. I am here for you, I will cleanse you and I will fuck you.”

That seems a bit convoluted. If you want erotic horror, how about something a bit more straightforward?

The succubus agrees to place a spell on him that makes women lust after him: the purer the woman morally, the stronger the woman lusts after him. But she says that if she does this, she wants to make it worth the targets' time: he also has to agree to having a bigger penis and longer-lasting erections. He eagerly agrees.

To his horror, his penis is so big that overeager women are willingly injuring themselves on it, screaming in real pain but refusing to stop until they hospitalize themselves. He prays for help, and an angel arrives, only for her to be sucked into his spell like everyone else.

The angel's body is capable of surviving his oversized member, but she fucks him so hard and so long that he is rubbed raw until he is bleeding. She heals him of the injuries she inflicted, restoring his blistered skin, but also doesn't ever give him a break. He falls asleep from exhaustion during sex. He wakes up with the angel still going at it. He tries to drink water and eat with an angel pounding on his lap. He tries to use the toilet with an erection and the angel riding him so hard that their combined weight cracks the porcelain bowl. The angel confides that now that she has had sex with him, she never wants to stop.

Forever.

It is not accepted Old Testament canon, but it was well know and influential.

The angels who followed Samael against God were a interesting crowd.
There are lots of fallen angels to choose from.

I'm sure they would, although it might be the longest slow burn ever. And putting a mortal in the middle as was suggested by the op would be an excellent stepping stone to such a story that might be mostly untold.

Gaiman liked to skip forward centuries at a time to handle that (good omens, sandman). Though he also came up with a clever way to have the same human persist.

They kinda have to be when you’re explaining the lives of immortals to mere humans. You frame it like that friend you get together with once a month for mimosas only it’s once a decade. Stuff changes a little bit between those meetings. Your friend become more hopeful or bitter. More confident or shy. Has a new win or loss.
