Annual Halloween Contest Support Thread

Last years' Halloween Contest was my very first ever LIT story submission AND contest entry... so I'm looking forward to this one = marking my anniversary here :nana:

No ideas yet, but TONS of time...!

it'll be my first anniversary for contests... and my anniversary for showing up in the AH, too... :cathappy:

Le sigh. Winter Holiday will be my anniversary, not Halloween. I joined too late for that one. :(

Really? Was it always like that?

I dunno... but I find that when I write a 4000 word story, it goes onto the next page... if I keep it around 3500, it will stay on 1 Lit page...

I've written a lot of 3500 word stories... most of the "Babysitting" series were around 3500 words... :)

*calculating* ;)

Great! 5 pages, then. I didn't cross over to Be Mine (6+ pages) territory this time! :nana:

well Scouries will spank you anyway!

Well, I still have the idea, and it's still growing in my head. It just isn't ready to be flashed out yet.

And they'll still hate it. They really, really will.

Can't wait! :D If it's something the trolls are gonna hate, it's gonna be good!

I don't even have an idea yet! :x

I have to come up with another childhood terror, I think, this year. Done the closet thing.

hmmm......

Basic fears would probably be a lot wiser than my thoughts, although they're far from original. Maybe I'll try two...

Halloween's my fave holiday too...but damn it! I live in the northern hemisphere and right now it's the middle of summer and I categorically refuse to think about ghosts, harvest moons, pumpkin pie, etc.! Bad enough the clothing stores are starting to get in fall fashions even though I still need summertime shorts and sleeveless shirts, not raincoats and sweaters!

It's lemonade and outdoor grilling and picnics in the park with evening theatre after dark season!

Phooey if Lit hasn't the sense to have a nice "Summer's Picnic" contest! :p

but the pimpkin vines are spreading and flowering nicely!!!!

nothing new written yet. whenever i finally get home i am too tired to think...

OMG OMG Brian...how are you??? I've missed you so!!!

I have an idea to do a sequel on my humor piece based on Lucifer trying to get hell back together after Martha Stewart labels everything and puts plastic on the carpets. Still working on it.

Halloween story is basically done.. I think the ending is "thin" but I will fix that tomorrow and send it off to be proof read. I'm soooooo Happy :D

Ghost story with a bit of a twist at the end, btw ;)

I agree... I'll start writing my halloween story after laborday... it seems completely unnatural to be writing about the spookyday before august!
