At work they make me run NT - easier for them to spy on us all. So, knowing that -

I'm curious about "conflicting programs" and how/why this occurs and if there are fixes - easy fixes that I can do.

Example - my favorite daily routine set-up is.....

Microsoft Outlook for my corporate e-mail. I'm stuck with this.

My personal Hotmail account.

And.....

Literotica. All 3 open - so I can bounce back and forth - seemingly no big deal.

But - no always but often, maybe %25 of the time - when in Hotmail and the 2 others open - and only in "reply" - either upon first entering "reply" or by hitting "send" after typing a reply - I get an "illegal action" window and BAM - no choice to it - I'm crashed out of Hotmail.

Now - (I think) that when I have either of the other 2 windows shut down, especially the Litboard - this never happens.

Anybody have any insight on this problem.

Any info appreciated - thanks.

Also please. Opins on 2000????

Thinking of reformatting my Presario and also buying 2 new lap-tops for work. My tie and jacket guys tell me that the organization will dump NT and go 2000 by next spring.

What's your experience with 2000 so far?

Have you tried setting up Outlook to view your hotmail account as well?

Surprisingly, the clients that we have that use Windows ME or Windows 2000 professional edition friggin' love it. Maybe Billy got it right on the first try for a change.

Windows 2K

I've had really good look with 2K on my laptop, espically if you are pluging into differnet networks all the time. I havent touched ME and probably never will.

Sparky

I have a friend that swears by Windows 2000. I haven't taken the time to install it, so I couldn't tell you. HE loves it though.

Man, you hear it all.....

I just talked to a guy who says something like -

2000 is more "business based" and has quirks regarding - photo's, video and audio programs - all of which I will be using. And he continues that ME the upgrade to '98 is much more friendly for that type of stuff.

It seems the concensous that NT blows for just about anything other that Big System stability and number crunching - science shit. It sucks for art shit.
