Hey, I'll play the 'insane enemy', if you want. I do the whole psychotic medieval criminal mastermind thing pretty well, check out the Dark Ages thread to see the current evil villain that I'm running.
Good luck everybody, this is taking a while, but it should be worth it in the long run. Hell, if nothing else, the delay is weeding out any people that aren't really dedicated to the thread.

btw, isn't the term 'underground continent' kind of a contradiction in terms? I havn't played any version of this game earlier than #7, but since underground denotes a status of being within a landmass, and a continent is a landmass in and of itself, the two should be mutually exclusive items. Since you say that this is the place where summoned creatures come from, perhaps you meant to say 'underworld'?

Personality: Inquizitive, Mysterious, Realist, Strong.
Appearence: about 5' 7". layered Shoulder length rust colored hair with small white streeks placed through out. Tanned skin. weight around 115 lbs. very curvy yet athletic. wears black leather corset over a sheer midnite blue longsleaved shirt. matching laced up black leather pants and boots.
Story: Born in Dominion which contained a school where from the age of three children from the city are enrolled in a training school to train soilders for the contenent. Morgan was at the top of her class from the time she enrolled until the age of 17 when she left unexpectedly and suddenly. from that time she was a journalist and an explorer. speaks many languages and can disguise herself easily. traveling has caused her to end up in a small sea port on the edge of the contenent. she has a strong desire to travel to other lands but somthing is holding her back....

Let's see, I'll post a couple points about my character, just a rough outline, wait til after I hear back from the Black Rose about the villain before I flesh out the details.
Name: Jagang Linai
Race: appears Human (looks can be deceiving)

I tried to start my onw RPG to pass a little time, but I think it was closed. It was called Covert Ops. I thought it was a good idea. Apparently I was wrong.
Anyway welcome to you BellaNotte. Maybe I'll talk to ya sometime.

Try starting it again, it might just have been the timing of the thread, and not the idea of it. Depending on when you start a thread, people can be busy with other things, like holidays, personal matters, or maybe everybody just thought they were subscribed to enough threads at the time that you tried to start yours. You'll never know til you try. Also, you could try reviving the old thread about story lines for RPGs, try and guage interest in your idea by posting it there and see what the response is like.
Don't worry, this thread is bound to start sooner or later, and if it doesn't, final fantasy is a popular enough theme that someone will eventually create another one.
When was Covert Ops up? What was it about? I may be interested. Don't feel bad I've had 3 threads fail to grab attention so far but I'll probably revisit them later. It seems that most people on the board are more into midevil, d and d type of stuff. All the other threads i've been involoved in that don't really have anything to do with dragons or swords have either been gone in a week or suffer from lack of interest. I've got one up now that's not making an impression at all, just hang in there.

I started Covert Ops at the end of last week. Everyone who posted thought it was a good idea. It was an SRP that dealt with spies going on missions ( I came up with 4 to start) with other agents. People could choose to be bad guys, agents, ect. The thread is still in the Sexual Role Playing Forum if you want to read the missions and stuff.

History : Nikki was born in the Esper world but when the world grew hungry for their power she was kidnapped. For a long time she was held captive and raised in a laboratory where she was subjected to expiriments. She has no memory of her past except that she is different from everyone else. She broke out from the facility and has little trust for anyone. She is kind but she keeps to herself. Her preferred weapons are two metalic fans (think katana from Mortal Combat) Because she is an Esper she has magical powers though she does not know this. She can manipulate the four elements to do as she wishes.

Hair: white
Eyes: black with yellow glowing iris, formerly blue
Race:human possesed
Age: 25
Appearance/history: Very tall and skinny is what everyone sees but what lies beneath is a extremly evil talented, strong, and agile killer skilled in many areas of combat( stealth, hand to hand, the sword, archery, tracking, and more). Because of the massive amount of his life he has spent alone he has for lack of a better way to describe it become his own best friend and to others he often seems like a maniac and in truth quite possibly might be. He is abrasive and tactless and he has found that people either hate him or hate him alot. He loves the heat of battle more than anything else, even the women he so egerly persues, and is often difficult to remove from the battle field weather he is hoplessly outnumbered or the battle is well won. Several centuries ago he was possessed by Mar-dar-Er the mystic living armor created by evil long since forgotten. The armor was beautiful, silver inlain with intricate blue, red, and black designs. When he put on the armor it "grew " to enveloped his entire body even his hair was covered. Every part of his body was hidden beneath it, his hair was pulled back into three armor covered spikes two small and one large in the middle of the other two. His eyes too had been changed from the ice blue to all black except for the iris which now glowed yellow. At this point any hope at saving Gray all but disappeared. The armor was thin but hugged close to his body and didnt restrict his movements in any way in fact they enhanced his abilities more than he thought possible. In time it controled him completly. With the armor also came the weapons the finest ever seen, the double sword cleaver ten foot long, and the bow the strongest and straightest shot ever, each with it powerful magic. With this armor and its weapons he was Mar-dar-Er destroyer and devouwerer and darkness. As he became one with the armor He grew to like what it made him do and is completely taken over by it it is doubtful that any of Gray remains at all beneath that armour.
