Scientists researching a mysterious syndrome are coming up with few answers and an abundance of questions. The disorder, popularly known as "Diamante's Curse" causes red eyes, puffy, dark undereyes, and general disorientation in its victims. Pathologist Derek Ogden, in a press conference Thursday evening, said, "So far we are unable to confirm that the condition results from a lack of sleep, though the symptoms certainly point to that conclusion. Among the cases so far there is no common point of departure for our study. We are baffled, but will continue heedlessly." The curse does seem to avoid discrimination, affecting men and women of any age from 18 up, in scattered locations across the globe. "The only similarity," said Ogden, "is an increase in internet traffic among the affected group."
Since March of 2004 over a thousand cases of "Diamante's Curse" have been recorded in over 30 countries. Family and co-workers complain the the victims are often cranky, seem pale and malnourished, and constantly mumble something about "checking for more updates." The sole breakthrough in the case came when a resident of San Antonio, TX produced a photo printed from the internet of what he believed to be the cause of the curse: a gorgeous 20-something tastefully photographed in elegant lingerie. "I stay up night after night trying to catch her....shes beautiful, I tell you!" screamed the young man before being locked in a padded cell. Authorities at the Midvale Home for Troubled Minds report that the outburst is the result of some psychological issue, and completely without factual base. "How could a woman that attractive exist in real life? She would have to live on the moon, or else the Earth would blow-up." Despite this skepticism, NASA is readying a moon shot for late 2005.

***Diamante News Flash:I have gotten a personal trainer for the next three months.
I met with a nutritionist as well.
I thought I would share this with you, since you know...I've shared pretty much everything else I have to share!

Coincidently, I was planning on doing the same thing and hoping that public display of my progress (or lack thereof) would give me some inspiration to stay with the routine. About 2 years ago I started working out, lost 45lbs. and have kept it off. However, because I drink more beer than the average jackass, I still can't lose the remainder of my spare tire.

Soooooo, that being said, let's make the deal that we should both show our progress here on Lit and support each other over the next few months - deal? Ya know, keeping each other on the exercise wagon.

Here's a picture from last week (sorry, bit well, nude - fyi I'm a guy) so that's my start.

I just went through the hardest break up I think that I have ever been through. Thankfully I have seen it out the otherside and I have you to keep me company
