Another synagogue shooting

What another does is not the fault of one who speaks unless the speech is intended to achieve the desired acts by others.

Trump's been said to do all kinds of horrible things. Yet, now that we know from the Mueller report that at least 1 of those things was fake news, one MUST wonder whether the rest is of similar elk.

Go back and examine his speeches and see for yourself. I'll bet you that you cannot find a single example of Trump actually endorsing any of the racist things the MSM says he does.

What you WILL find is the MSM saying "he said X" when in fact he didn't. They are using their false narrative on what was said to promote a specific anti-Trump agenda. And almost everyone fell for it. What's worse is that despite it all starting to fall apart for them, the progressives are STILL spouting the same lies.

Gullible but tenacious is probably the most polite descriptor I can think of. Flaming idjits more accurately described them though.

You're right, I can't pinpoint any specific segment of what he said.
It's more about the overall tone.

It's ok for us to be so blunt and direct in our conversations about illegal immigration or so on, because we're small fish.
But when He criticises it, he should mingle it with more words of compassion "I understand it's hard, these are just folks trying to make a better life for their families, but our resources are limitted we can't take everybody in" or such.
His blunt statements, even if true easily feed into already existent animosities.

I'm talking from the perspective of an outsider, I know that Merkel's clusterfuck/Trump are often referred to by far right elements worldwide. Even if for opposite reasons.

Lol...seriously??

What would that ONE thing be? And FYI, if you say collusion, you fail miserably. Again.

Trump said he was exonerated.. Mueller did not. Who do you believe?

Btw.. in true queballesque style, it's ILK, not elk.

ilk
/ilk/
noun
a type of people or things similar to those already referred to.
"the veiled suggestions that reporters of his ilk seem to be so good at"
synonyms: type, sort, class, category, group, set, bracket, genre, kidney, grain, species, race, strain, vintage, make, model, brand, stamp, variety, family
"Mrs. Taylor and her ilk talk utter tripe"

Complains about BotanyBoy destroying his arguments with definitions actually relevant to the discussion at hand. Hides in iggy bunker as a result.

"Wins" the internet by finding a typo....and quotes an entire definition completely irrelevant to the discussion at hand

I know it's hard to accept, but this has nothing to do with guns. Americans are a sick and evil people. You can point to other countries and societies. It isn't about their gun laws ;it is about their people. Guns have always been in American society; perhaps more so in the past than now. My local community vividly remembers when the rifle team carried their rifles on the school bus. It was never a concern because the students were not mentally ill. They respected life. Gun racks in the back of pick-ups in the school parking lot. Nothing will change unless the people change. the solution to this is in the mirror. How do we raise our children? How do men and women relate? Do we believe n the sanctity of human life and the power that bestows that sanctity. It really is us, and that's hard to admit. You can regulate guns all you want. We are still a sick society.

It's certainly not restricted to America, but you have a point.

Whining about people misrepresenting the Liar in Chief.

He isn't *doing* it, on purpose or otherwise. Partial quotes and conflating things he says to mean things that he clearly did not his not him doing anything at all.

You parroting that nonsense doesn't make his statements something that they aren't, something the Dems wish he actually said.

Pull an actual quote in full context or STFU.

Here we go again. Another mass shooting in America, and the reaction looks to be the same as after every other mass shooting in America. The Dems are poopy heads and it's all their fault. The Repubs are doodoo brains and they are to blame. Golly gosh, I wonder how they're going to react to next week's mass shooting in America

The problem is hype and hysteria by the media, not the people in general. There are some who will not see past the hype and thus will conflate anything and everything as an outrage against humanity. There are gullible others who will believe the nonsense being peddled and will regurgitate it as "fact" when it is not.

Cause and effect should be the rallying cry of everyone wanting to find out what happened and WHY. "Failure analysis" is what should be conducted. Instead we get knee jerk reaction and finger pointing before the facts are even known.

It is not "spin" or "deflection" to want to know where the failure actually began. What happened to this young man that he began to follow and believe the "cult mentality" of the supremacists? How did that escape his friends and family? Why didn't they intervene, or request the State to intervene at an early stage?

These are questions which are NEVER EVER asked after these types of events. One doesn't have to wonder why in this day and age where much of the population is on medication or self-medicates. That so many of them are young and still in school and yet pass their classes indicates that somehow society has condoned this condition at the expense of actually learning what proper social behavior is.

Which leads to a segment of our society becoming easy prey for those who look for gullible weak minded individuals to recruit.

True analysis of what happened begins at the beginning, not at the end. This was not about the gun used, it was about yet another failure of society in general.

I'll leave it to Dems to quote the specific examples.

As an example - why did he even pull that twitter thing about 'sending illegals to sanctuary cities?' You don't pull such childish pranks as a president, you think things through.

It was funny on a superficial level, and I was entertained reading the libs's reactions. But I can only imagine that it was misinterpreted as a stamp of approval by the xenophobic far right worldwide.

They cannot quote any. There aren't any. Which is why you can't either.

All you're doing is quoting what the Dems characterized his positions as, his statements and words... none of which is actually true. All of which are designed to encourage Hispanics and blacks to get to the polls in numbers because statisticallythey vote more Democrat...and who they assume are too stupid to read his actual words.

Just like Romney wasn't an actual misogynist.

In Britain they bring a knife to a gunfight because, no swords. :)

So, basically what you're saying is that someone says "he said" and that has somehow "set the tone" of what he's "not saying" to mean that he's "saying things"?

I say X
The MSM picks it up and says "he said something awful".
More media types bleat that often and loudly.
Some people believe what they're hearing and don't bother to check if it's true or not and then repeat it.
And so on until the truth is buried in lies.

Even when the lie is exposed, some people like yourself still want to believe it even if they cannot find evidence to support it. Instead, they make excuses such as "he's a big fish and should know better".

If one doesn't say anything improper in the first place, how can one be blamed for not saying it?

Like I said earlier, if this kid's name had been Ahmed your tune would be very different, Timmy.

Had this kids name been any name contained in the entire big book of names, I would still feel the same and voice the same opinion.

My beliefs that society is fucking up has nothing to do with nationality or skin color. Sad to say, it seems to be the only factor in yours. Which seems to dovetail perfectly with my thinking on why society is fucking up so badly.

So, those who think like you are the real root of the problem. How does it feel to have all that blood on your hands?

Like I said earlier, if this kid's name had been Ahmed your tune would be very different, Timmy.

You *say* a lot of things, very little of which bears any resemblance to actual reality.

Stop making excuses. ISIS and Merkel have nothing to do with this. This is on the con artist, pure and simple.

He has defunded programs designed to counter white supremacists, has undone decades of work in law enforcement to go after the groups, and continues to blame illegal immigrants but says nothing when white supremacists gun people OR U.S. citizens kill thousands each year.

Even this time, instead of explicitly stating white supremacists are a menace or this was a terror attack, all he says is, "Hated must be stopped", then goes on to pour out hate on his latest twat.

The only one responsible is the con artist and his acceptance that these terrorists aren't really bad people and his abject unwillingness to say anything bad about them, let alone go after them.

Delusional, as per usual.

I don't live in Europe or the States.
But what I do know is that ISIS, Merkel and Trump / besides local immigration policies are regularly mentioned by the radical far right in Europe/ New World countries.

It might not be, indeed their fault just looney fringe elements misusing them, but it's an undisputable worldwide phenomenon. And it's spreading at an alarming rate.

ETA
Extremism on both sides

If Chicago is any standard it will be ho hum. In the Poway shooting one person was killed and four wounded. That is not to diminish the horrific nature of this crime or the heinous act of the perpetrator, but in Chicago as of April of this year 604 people have been shot. That is only 57 fewer than all of last year. In a single weekend last year there were six mass shootings in Chicago in which 74 people were wounded and 12 people killed. No giant hullabaloo in the national media. Why?

First of all this is America and we spell it "defense" if you're going to come to America you should at least try to learn the language.

We also are a nation of laws where actual words in a legal sense have actual meaning and you don't get to make up new meanings for those words when you're talking about actual crimes.

"Sexual assault" has an actual meaning and it can't be done with consent. It requires non-consent for it to be assault. By definition. Always.

"I'm automatically attracted to beautiful [women]—I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything ... Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything."

Bragging about things he claims women *let* him do is not "sexual assault." As I said.

Rape Enablin' Queew man-splainin' "sexual assault".

Today is shaping up to be a rather good day. :D

Almost as humorous as BotanyBoy man-splainin' "freedom".
