Any current or retired law enforcement people here?

It's been so many years since I've read a Conrad novel that the only quotes I can recall are "the horror, the horror" and something like, "he said your name."
Open Nostromo at a random page - there will be something 😊.

I feel like it's cheating if I can't at least remember something of the quote. Besides, I'd have to hunt for my copy of it. It's on a shelf somewhere but my books aren't well organized.

That’s what Kindles are for, hun 😬

I tried to put all my books on a Kindle but they crushed it.

Too many fucking vampires. Too many fucking zombies. California has gone to shit with all the zombies, vampires, interracial cuckolding, ass fucked husbands, and cheating wives. Shit!

Come to Lake Tahoe. Or at least the Garin-Ruiz Resort part of it. We keep the vampires and zombies out with heavy garlic consumption, lots of holy water, and ordained polyamorous relationships that incorporate multiple religions. As for the cheating and cuckolding, it happens but you learn quickly that it’s better when your spouse already knows what you’re up to. You can’t easily schedule threesomes and organize feelings without good communication practices, after all.

My calendar year sales, December 2022 - November 2023, hit 600 on Thursday last month. It is not great, but that's only Smashwords; it doesn't count the sources through them nor the ones for Amazon or BookApy. It's my biggest year since my first year there, 2013, when I self-published my work.

EDIT: Obviously, the wrong thread. Forgive for a knew not what I did.
