avanti? never been on a trip on time with them. put me off going to Glasgow, which is a shame, good gigs there and some nice places to eat

probably safer for us all that way.

i like looking at boats. not sure i could actually do much on one... despite watching the Vendee Globe avidly

This was a great improvement on many last trip when the seats were double booked and the air conditioning wasn't working.

There's two female British skippers in the race - Pip Hare and Sam Davies. Their boats are monstrous and weird.

Pip is based in Poole. she sailed a great race last time.

I was shocked at how small they are... saw one a few years back. amazed they can handle the southern ocean. The race will get me through winter this year. i'll be on the tracker every day.
