Anyone from the UK?

I shudder at the very thought of flabby crumpets!

Not liking marmite seems like common sense, to me. I suppose it might be a genetic thing, like... broccoli, is it? Doesn't sound right. No, it's a herb I'm thinking of. Nope, it's gone. Whatever it is, to some people it tastes like soap, apparently. I wonder if the like it or loathe it with marmite is like that.

You may have bought the last long-handled scraper in the shop! I think the cold snap caught a lot of people out. My feet have been cold since what seems like forever, despite thick socks and central heating 🥶
Coriander (cilantro, to the seppos) is the soapy one to unfortunate people. I don't mind Marmite - a bit with cheese on toast or in a veggie stew helps - as long as I know what it is!

We had some German students visit college once. At breakfast, one scooped a couple tablespoons of Marmite from a huge bucket onto a plate and I asked if they knew what it was. Got "of course, duh!" in German. Followed by it all being spread on one slice of toast, a huge bite, and me learning the German for "WTF!! Are you trying to fucking kill me??"

I'm in a caff with my thermal tights and vest under my clothes, all lovely and warm, but forgot my boots are new and I haven't put fleecy insoles in yet. So my feet are freezing and another coffee hasn't helped.

What did the German think it was then?

And where can you buy buckets of Marmite? Asking for a friend

Lot to unpack here. I like marmite but who gives a four year old a marmite sandwich and doesn’t expect them to be traumatised.

You can pull them apart easily, it's a bit like freezing bread, the slices don't tend to stick together too hard
Once they're defrosted... or do you wait for them to defrost or defrost them in the toaster or grill? How do you stop them getting a soggy bottom? I mean noone likes a soggy bottom.
