Anyone from the UK?

I know Kent, Brighton is lovely and Hastings is no longer so nice!
You could try a story including Eureka at Fawkham or Silverleigh in West Kingsdown. Mind you the truth in those places has often been stranger than fiction.

Afternoon all.

Why is it so cold here and too hot in other places. You'd think with the atmosphere and all the seas that the temperature of the planet would even itself out over the globe?

Morning all.....I hope you're all having a great morning!

Out of curiosity, what radio stations to people listen to in the morning? I'm bored of many and would love some inspiration!
I end up listening to Radio Jackie in the car (live from Tolworth Tower, on 107.8 FM, the voice of South West London and North Surrey...)

Mostly because its ads are out of sync with the other stations, so when Magic, Greatest Hits, Radio X etc are on ads and Radio 2 and BBC local are waffling being nearly as annoying, it's generally still on music.

It's also proper low-budget local radio, with presenters having to bring in the dog to work when the dogminder is poorly, very local news, and a playlist that's more interesting than the usual 70s-20s, probably because it's cheaper. But nice not being the same stuff all the time. The presenters manage to sound really nice, too.

(Crumpets need something to go with the butter on them. Ideally honey, but jam or Bovril also work. Do I get kicked out for saying that?)

The Bovril is controversial. Having said that. I've not tried it myself. So I guess like with a lot of things in life. Don't knock it till you've tried it!

I seem to be in the minority in thinking that crumpets are fine with just butter, so I suppose you can stay. At least you don't put marmite on them!

(Welcome, by the way. Don't mind me, I was just being grumpy for comic effect.)
I mean, a good crumpet is fine with just good salted butter - just even better with something extra! And a flabby crap crumpet needs it.

I'm not a marmite fan (I know, revoke my British passport...) - I had a traumatic experience age about four when I bit into a marmite sandwich at a party, having only ever known Bovril.

Very glad this morning that last week I bought a long-handled ice scraper, so I could actually reach the middle third of the windscreen!
