Anyone from the UK?

It's a bit chilly in sub tropical Manchester. Had to put a coat on for the morning walk.

I get that, but banks security has recognised that phones are more secure than, say, a web page interface. I still have a card reader thing for my bank somewhere...
I haven't yet succumbed to using my phone to make payments and even my older bf thinks I'm a luddite. You're in good company :)
I've heard that making payments by phone is more secure, as it doesn't pass your card details to the retailer, but I've not tried it. My Mrs does use the Sainsbury's app to shop in-store though as it save time at the checkout and you can keep tab of your spending as you go along.

Morning. Nice sunny day.

The guys are relaying the.pavement where the tree stump was removed. Different size of paving, but it's looking ok.

I was doing some security checking re Apple and decided to keep things like financial logins off icloud in particular. Apple icloud is fine unless someone steals the phone and has seen the login - then your digital life will disappear in a few seconds. You'll lose control of your apple account & anything on icloud. So even the latest 'Passkey' system is vulnerable to that.
If anyone steals my phone, they can access quite a bit, but not my overdraft!!

I think the retailer still sees your bank account if you're in person cuz you get a printed transaction slip. So... not online?

Sainsbury's in-store app! You don't say!

Has anyone else observed that the number of posts on here is declining asymptotically?
Woo! You mean like in an manner that requires calculus to describe it in a meaningful way?
But to answer your question, it's been quieter, yes.

Exactly thus! But now I'm wondering how we can have non-integral posts???
Have you been eating Shakespeare again? Forsooth master Lingus and let’s parry the dread darkness with a nightingales air, lest the chill of castle stone makes headstones of us all. Shake us the fair moon and let Jupiter run his circle round and round like a whirligig.

There's a pair of robins in my garden.
I was with a friend listening to the pretty song of a robin. He then pointed out that in robin speak, he was saying "Oi!Oi! My fucking manor! You want some, eh? You fucking want some? Come over and shag my missus - I'll have your fucking head off, son. Oi! Oi! I'm the fucking king!"

I often feed Robin and they will, sometimes, sit in the vegetation and quietly sing afterwards... maybe it's a thanks you.

The whole Dawn Chorus is just shouted threats
