I'm with Barclays, last time I got sent a cheque I just took a photo of it with the app and it got deposited into my account. Maybe worth seeing if your bank offers similar?

I get that, but banks security has recognised that phones are more secure than, say, a web page interface. I still have a card reader thing for my bank somewhere...
I haven't yet succumbed to using my phone to make payments and even my older bf thinks I'm a luddite. You're in good company
