as in an old coffee jar she kept in the back of the pantry, she would "feed " it sugar and ground ginger

It grows easily when you can keep it frost free in winter.
I normally grow some in my garden but someone's I forget to put some in street the harvest.

I've got a Yamaha Fazer 800. Perpetually looking good for something newer, but not found anything significantly better that's worth the cost to me. £12k for a CB1000GT is the most tempting.

No, but an ex did. Black shadow and a Hayabusa, very different experiences…

Oh I remember having a ginger beer plant. Best thing about them is you can split it and give someone part to start their own.

I've a nice recipe for what I called, fiery alcoholic ginger beer. Makes about 40 pints. It's a lovely tipple on a summer night. I usually end up with an ABV of 7%.

Takes four weeks to make, then bottle and mature for about another month, the longer the better.
