Anyone in Oregon?

.

Hello to you all! My husband and I are from Roseburg, and both of us are 26. Nice to meet you all!

.

I'm actually loving it. My favorite seasons are spring and fall. Nice during the day, and chilly enough during the night that it still feels good to cuddle up! Plus, the smell in oregon after it rains is just amazing.

Perhaps... but I need good outdoor wedding weather - at least three weeks from now. lol. It is nice to get a bit of relief from the 103 weather though!!

Congrats! My husband and I have been married a month and two days so far. I wish you luck with the weather. Down here at least the rainy cool weather is only supposed to last for a couple of days. I hope it's the same there. Where are you getting married?

West of Portland on an estate. :)

Congrats to you and your husband! It's all very exciting... and makes me not be able to sleep. lol.

How long have you guys known each other? How large of a wedding? It must have been a heck of a lot easier to find a venue up there. Everything in my area just didn't appeal to me for the wedding!

Cost is very prohibitive up here, and most venues are booked out 12-18 months in advance. We were very lucky to get a place that is nice and still affordable. We'll be just shy of 90 people in attendance... which is just right given our budget. (Damn weddings are expensive!)

We've known eachother for about two and a half years. He was my upstairs neighbor. What about you?

Mike and I have known each other since the 8th grade, but have only been a couple for the last two years. We reserved a park for our wedding, and had a potluck. One of my best friends used to make the costumes for the U of O theater dept. and made my dress for me. We bought the fabric over memorial day weekend, so I managed to get raw silk and the gauzy material I wanted, as well as the lace, all for about $30. All in all, with the champagne, dress, park fee, wedding license, and Mikes outfit, we spent a whopping $300 for a wedding that hosted roughly 100 people. It was a lot of fun. My dad owns about 10k cds in his collection, so he did our music for us. Another friend of mine has a degree in graphic design, so she made our invitations for us. Mikes sis did my hair and makeup. I made Abby's flower girl dress. Mikes mom and sis and I made the cakes. I don't recommend doing that with roses by the way. It turned out great, but took four of us working for three days to hand make all the gum paste roses! My brothers father is an awesome amature photographer, and he did our pictures for us. I really lucked out with all the help I got from friends and family! What kind of dress are you going to be wearing?

Hi nyxie, nice pic on profile; you look very nice ;-) Do you visit Portland much?

Just to fly out. I rather perfer the protland air port over seattle. Its a straight shot from the highway and easier to navigate.

But I may start I have some friends over there now. Not too sure.

and thanks for the compliment and yes that REALLY is me ya'll.

Just west of Portland here. I think summer is gone. Bummer.

Just North of Portland....

Hi, just North of Portland here.... part of a couple looking to chat or possibly meet attractive bi sexual men.....

Me again...

Had to dig once again to find us Oregonians...and in my opinion, we deserve top billing! :~) Yes I've been gone for a while, but had to come back for a visit. It's great to see that we have more of us added to the ranks! And, as an OSU grad, I just have to ask..."How about them Beavs, defeating USC!! What a game!!" :~)

Hope you all are enjoying the fall weather we finally have! Rainy and grey will be here much too soon, so take advantage of these beautiful days while we have them!
