KISN.. before they went off the air, KINK lights out and the Rush Hour show (dang if I can remember what it was called) and going to the Portland Zoo concerts sponsored by KINK. KGON "Mark and Brian" every morning on the way to work. KGW back when they played music on AM stations.



and I'm down for a Lit meet and greet ....

I think this thread should be revived, and a Portland meet and greet would be fun.

We really need to have this Portland area lit get-together. It would be nice, and there have been so many people mentioning it. Does everyone still want one? Just give the word and I'll set something up, probably at Brix. Let me know!

Although I'm not in the PDX area anymore (Tacoma now), I'd love to see this and would make a considerable effort to get down there for something if I can. When are you casually thinking of doing this?

I would say next weekend, Saturday, lunch at Brix Tavern? It is right off 405 on Hoyt.

Unless anyone has a major reason why this shouldn't happen, I'll pencil it in. We have been saying "we should do this!" for months, if not years... time to just do it.

Tell you what, why don't we schedule it for the following week, so that people have more of a warning and are able to schedule it.

Saturday, the 21st of January for lunch at Brix Tavern on Hoyt in Portland, Oregon at noon.

Will that work?

Alas, no; I've got stuff in Seattle that day. And Saturday the 28th I *will* be in Portland... but I have a memorial service to go to. :(

Like I say, please schedule this and we'll get the momentum going and I'll try to show up at the next one. And well done to you for pushing for this!

We are having a Northwest/Oregon Lit get together!

Saturday, the 21st of January for lunch at Brix Tavern on Hoyt in Portland, Oregon at noon.

We have always said we need to do it, so I said screw it, we will just make it happen! Please RSVP here or via PM so I can make sure we have enough tables put together. I'm posting this on multiple threads, my apologies if it seems like spam.
