The wall of fire was getting closer, he was starting to smell singed clothes, for some reason the fire was just too close, and it wasn't stopping. The heat was too intense, and it wasn't stopping. The flames were too bright, and STILL it wasn't stopping.
Garret screamed again, as he had done for almost an eternity now, trying to stop the searing pain that came from the flames. He saw in horror as it never wavered, never stopped, no matter what was there.
Garret looked out of the fire, watching the screen, somehow the flames didn't feel so bad when he looked into the screen, even though there wasn't much to see, and what was scared him even more than being burned alive.
Garret watched...
He had finally woken up, his strength back to normal. Garret knew Vixen was about to become part of his minion. He was waiting for it to kick in her system, but she was fighting it, if only he had given her more poison.
Water under the bridge, Garret said to himself, and laughed.
"YOU HEAR ME GREAT FIGHTERS," Garret screamed, knowing they all heard them, " I AM STILL HERE, AND YOU ARE GROWING WEAK."
Garret decided to throw a curve ball, "I KNOW WHO YOUR SISTER IS REI. I KNOW WHO USED TO OWN THE PENDANT. GIVE IT TO ME AND I WILL TELL YOU WHERE AND WHO SHE IS."
Garret stopped, letting the echos filter through the halls, it seemed eerie as it finally grew quiet.
Garret spoke up again, "THAT ISN'T A GOOD ENOUGH DEAL? I WILL THROW IN THIS WEAKLING TOO, NOT BAD PRICE FOR SUCH A SIMPLE TRINKET."
Garret reached out, as if his voice was coming from the walls themselves, "DO NOT MOCK ME. I WILL GET THE PENDANT NO MATTER WHO DIES TONIGHT, AND BELIEVE ME, IF I DON'T GET IT SOON THERE WILL BE A DEATH."
Garret licked his pointy teeth laughing heartily. He knew it wouldn't be long now.
Sooner than he thought, as the door opened. Garret couldn't wait to see who it was.
