Garret looked down at his hand in horror, there was blood.
"No, nnnnnooooo," it came out as a low groan. He had blood, he had drunken blood.
It was over, he was a vampire now. Garret looked for Abdusalim, but it was too late, he was gone, looking for the cure. The cure that only worked on new vampires who hadn't had blood yet.
Garret cursed himself, no, this wasn't what he wanted to have happened. This wasn't how he was supposed to spend the rest of his life, not as a vampire, not as a monster.
Garret wiped the blood from his hands, trying to get rid of it, but knowing it was useless. How come this stuff always happened to him.
Garret looked outside, there was a distinct halo of sunlight, it hurt his eyes, very much. In less then half an hour it would be sunrise. Where would he go? What would he do?
Garret started sobbing, pulling his knees up to his chest.
"Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo,"
Garret couldn't help himself he was crying uncontrollably. Why was life so unfair?

Roland: i refused help from any of them and winced at the pain bending all my might to attempt to fight this poison......no use i thought...I Looked into the sun...Rei...now that you are gone who will i adventure with.....I sobbed openly infront of everyone present...Rei......

Lokken stared sadly at the sight before him." If only I had been here a few minutes earlier. Damn." he whispered, so only the few could hear.

Sith found the library. It was loaded with interesting stuff. He got the books on vampyrism, but as he was there, he also got "Metamagicks III", "Magical Magic Mediums" and "Philosophae Antiqua de Magia", which where very obscure. He started tackling the vampyrism theme, but he also read some of the meta magic volumes in between. _We have all the time of the world_ was Sith's thought as he was deeply engrossed in his readings.

Roland: "Sith...The bloodlust is rising in me and i do not know how long i can contain it...please, while i am still sane!...Please sith..." I looked at him with pleading eyes. "Forget about me and save vixen!!!!!!!!" i staggered out of the door way and headed for the front gate...i wanted vixen to be saved...but he could not heal me..or maybe it was..i did not want to be healed.....

Throught tear and blood stained eyes Garret watched as Sith came back a book in hand. He came right for him, but Garret shood him away.
"It is too late, I have tated blood. I can not be cure." he saw a look of fear come across his eyes, Garret looked away, he didn't want anyone to see him, or look at him.
"There are two others, Roland, and Vixen, I accidentally bit them, I am sorry the urge was too much."
Garret saw as he went to work on the others, starting with Vixen.
Garret turned away, looking at the sun about to rise, he wondered how easy it would be to just stand here, stand and watch the sun come up.
Garret could see farther than he could ever see before. There out in the desert was a camel, over a mile away and he could see what color the satchel he had one was. There in the city was a rat, one little rat, crumming around for food.
Garret looked at all this, and wondered, if it was all worth it, if it was going to do any good, letting vampirism run through him, and consume him. Garret didn't know, and he didn't want to know.
As morning was about to come his body started to hurt. Pain shot up all over his body, telling him to move, yet he stood his ground, hoping he would a little longer.
The sun was only minutes away from rising.

"I have an idea, Garret, I can cast a miniture spell called bad sun, it turns the sky into a constant night for the victim. It was designed to lower enemy troop morale, but it will work on you", Lokken said, looking up sadly.

Vixen had more poison in her than Roland... she felt... hungry... she scowled at Sith as he approached her... she was defensive. Her eyes flashed. She looked around frantically, her eyes falling on Garret. She wondered why he was so sad... he was her creator... she found his sadness puzzling. With her tongue she felt her fangs... she felt the cold in her... but it didn't bother her so much now. Odd, she thought. She needed... she needed blood... She hissed at Sith who came closer. She sniffed, his blood was cold, no good. Her nose wrinkled in distaste. She scrambled away from him. Her eyes darting looking for escape. "Garret!" Her voice called to him... "help us!"

Garret looked like he'd discovered something. Vixen screamed as she felt the searing heat flash through her where the sun hit Garret's body. He looked towards her startled by the sound.

"GARRET!" Sith yelled, "she's infected by YOUR blood, she feels what you feel, for HER sake... MOVE!"
Garret hesitated only a moment. Vixen screamed out again... clutching her arm... the pain was so intense. Sith used her distraction to place his hand on her so he could start the spell that would save her. She was quick, the poison in her veins giving her inhuman speed and strength. Her eyes glared at him balefully and her other hand reached out to scratch him. Her nails, sparked against his scales. She hissed in pain, snatching her hand back. He'd cornered her. Taking a calming breath he started to recite the spell he had from the book in his other hand. Vixen felt the spell as it started it's magick on her poisoned body. She screeched, her inhuman mind rebelling against the transformation. She squirmed under Sith's steady hand. Sith didn't flinch... he kept reciting the words... watching Vixen's body fighting... her blood responding to the spell... trying to find balance...

Garret pushed Lokken aside, "No, I don't want some stupid spell, can't you see she's in pain?"
He went over to her, his arm and the sun forgotten. Vixen was squirming under Sith's hand. Garret kneeled beside her, grabbing her hand.
At once, she calmed, looking into his eyes. Garret stared deeply back at hers, hypnotyzing her. He knew vampires could do it, and with the blood already merging with his system, he could feel the powers that he has.
She was under his spell, he could tell her to do anything, but he didn't, he simply stared at her till the spell worked.
Finally, after what seemed like eternity Sith arose.
"She's cured, but she needs a day of rest."
Garret looked releaved, he ordered two guards to take her to a room, so she could rest. They did.
"Now, Roland," Sith said, Garret right behind him, "Come on, you can't stay this way."
There was something in Roland's eyes, that Garret saw wasn't human, he was hungry for blood, and he wanted it now.
Garret moved, with incredible speed, tackling him down, he was thrashing all around trying to escape. Garret held him down, obviously stronger because of the blood.
Sith went right to work, holding his hand on Roland and reciting the words from the book.
Garret tried to lock onto his eyes, but he kept thrashing around, it was no use. He would have to do this the hard way.
Soon, the thrashing stopped, and soon Roland calmed down. It took longer with him though. Then Roland fell into a slump, and the guards put him into a room to rest as well.
Garret stood up, "Well, what to do with me now?"
Sith looked at him, "There is no cure for a full vampire, I am sorry."
"I know that. I am not stupid, but I mean, are you going to kill me?"
Sith smiled, then laughed, "My friend, no. I wouldn't kill you, no matter what horrific person you have become..."
Garret lowered his head
"Now look. There is a room where you can sleep throughout the day, it has no windows, and no way for sunlight to get in. It is there you may rest for as long as you wish."
Garret smiled, those thoughts of suicide long past him, he finally felt alive, and able to take on the world.
"That offer for my spell still stand," Lokken said from across the room.
"No thanks, if I am going to battle this, I will do it on my own, "Garret answered."
The guards took him, slowly because evey window and door they had to shut to keep out the sunlight, to the room.
He was led down a long corridor that entered into a single room with one bed.
It wasn't much, but he didn't need much, Garret sooned fell asleep, tired of the days adventures. He just hoped tonight wouldn't be so crazy.

Abdusalim

He had been silent for the whole episode, his actions and words would have meant nothing against the tide of destiny.
Now that it was over he still didn't have anything to say, but he did something this time. He went towards the door to the room where Vixen was resting and stood guard by it, his arms crossed, his stance straight, his eyes looking in front without moving. He wouldn't allow anyone in.

Sith

His work here was done, it was time he went back to his spell in the shadow plane. "Goodbye friends, you don't need me anymore. I left a spell cooking..." thus said, he starts to turn into shadow, the previous step to get into the shadow plane.

Vixen slept the sleep of the dead. Her body slowly adjusting back. Her blood, finally warm in her veins. She didn't dream... for once.

When she finally woke. She felt, heavy, like she'd been beaten repeatedly with a blunt object. She moaned as she tried to move. She hurt so much. She tried opening her eyes. A fire crackled merrily in the fire place, the warm glow still managed to hurt her eyes. She felt, like she was hung over. Her mouth felt dry and her head was pounding.

She felt someone's hand on her forehead. She tried to open her eyes again but heard a soothing voice. "Hush now, you're safe... rest... rest..." The voice was deep and familiar. She felt her tense body relax slowly at his words. "Abdusalim... " she whispered before she slipped back to sleep.

Roland:thoughts returned to my father, and the Oracle of Wyndia...
"And this boy named hereforth rolando, is destined to become a great monster.."
a great cry rang out amongst the audiance i was nervous at the time...wondering what they ment by great monster...i never found out..i figured it was this...but alas it is not..oh when will my fate come true! when is the fate of Rolando Gilliad to come to pass!

Lokken sat in the feast hall picking at a few different foods."Damn, why did all this happen?" he asked himself."That's it, I'm calling Thrinta", he continued. Then he pulled out a pendant, and connected it with the light orb.

Vixen finally awakens late in the morning. She sits up, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. She wonders... was it all a dream? She touches her hand to her neck and feels the scabs from the teethmarks still there. She shivers. No, not a dream. She feels warm now. Thankfully. So the poison had left her. Then she remembered Garret.

Jumping up she dressed quickly in her travelling clothes. Leather pants, cotton shirt, leather vest and gloves. She opened the door and saw... Abdusalim standing guard. His eyes were closed but she could tell he was alert by the way they snapped open when she opened the door. "Goodmorning..." He said. She smiled at him curiously. "You've... been here all night?" She asked. He didn't reply, but she knew he had. She wasn't sure how to take that.

"Thank you... " Her eyes were concerned, "you must be tired..."

Roland: I tryed to ignore the obvious pain in my legs and my neck...did that stupid thing work or is this normal...I lumbered past the door of vixens roon into my equiptment room and grabbed KingStopper and called to it for strength..thankfully its healing virtue is known well through out the lands...thankfully it worked on my legs but my neck ached for some odd reason.i tryed handeling my holy knife and i found i couldnt stand it.. is all the evil out of me or does some remain? i tryed finding a place with my scrying glass and could not find it....What is happening to me??

Thrinta had heard his master's command and arrived at the castle. He stepped into the feast hall.

Seeing Vixen well Abdusalim went to his bedroom to get a fast nap. One or two hours would have to suffice...

Garret looked at the warlock.
"I am back..." he said, an evil grin covering his face.
Garret looked in horror as he brought out a huge club. He tried to run, but fell on the ground, hurting his knee.
"Come on, get up, this is more fun if I have a better target."
Garret couldn't move his legs, he was terrified. He turned and watched as the club smashed down upon his legs, he felt instand pain. The warlock hit him again and again, Garret laid there, silent, unable to move. Then, bam, he was hit in the mouth, he could feel his teeth decaying, falling out of his mouth.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!"

Garret woke up with a start. He looked at the bed, there was sweat all over it. At least he had hoped it was sweat. The room was entirely dark, yet he could see perfectly where everything was. Another quirk to being a vampire, he thoguht.
Suddenly a thirst came over him. Garret could sense the pain arise in his stomach. He got up, as if on instinct, but stopped.
"I can't do it," he said, "I can't start eating people like I am a monster."
Garret went outside, making sure it was dark, it was, he sensed that it had just turned night. Another vampire quirk.
Garret went up, he saw that Vixen was still asleep, he blew her a kiss, hoping she was all right. He tried a few other rooms, but they were locked. It didn't matter, his ears could hear them sleeping, and in one case snoring rather loudly.
Garret went into the room where he, no not him, the warlock was chained up. He looked down, seeing the book that Sith had used to change Vixen and roland back. He picked it up.
"Vampyres, and the curse..."
That didn't amuse him at all. Garret started reading, pausing only when someone passed the hall, he could hear and smell and see many things that he couldn't before. It was as if he almost sensed people coming and going.
The book was actually very helpful. There were a lot to vampyrism that people didn't know. Garlic was no good, just smelled bad. Wooden stakes were unneccessary. He saw that you didn't need a stake at all to kill a vmapire, just a sharp thing to hit the heart, and it was over.
He found out he had more strength than an ordinary man. He could lift three times as much, jump an incredible 10 feet, and see better than an eagle. This of course, was if the vampire was in peak condition, which meant after he had fed.
Garret looked over on the page about feeding. He found something very interesting. Vampire bites don't lead to people becoming a vampire. Garret looked at it in astonishment, what about Vixen and Roland, he had bitten them.
Garret read on. It seemed that the only way to become a vampire, was an exchange of fluids, he had to give a person some of his blood, actually enough for him to become a vampire, not just a few drops would do it. The book said it would probably take at least a cup or so.
Garret was even more confused, he hadn't shared any blood with those two did he? Garret wondered if the book was right or not. Thats when he licked his mouth. There, in the middle, was a small cut. He hadn't noticed it before, too much was going on. He remembered when he puked that there was some blood mix, that was probably it. Garret sighed, thats why they both changed, because of his blood. And he must have been bleeding profusely because they both changed.
Garret felt the wound now, almost nothing, he remembered that vampires were fast healers. He felt it as it got slower and slower inside of his mouth, it must have been a big wound, to still be around, soon it was gone.
Garret felt relived, but still thirsty. He got up, and went into the night. He didn't head for the village, Garret didn't want to take blood from an innocent human, instead he went out into the desert. He ran like the wind, his strength was incredible. He could run, then jup from dune to dune, it would have, from a point looked almost as if he were flying, another vampire myth.
Soon Garret came across a camel. It was out by itself. Garret winced, knewing what he was about to do. He just wanted to get it over with though.
He didn't kill the camel, just got his blood's worth. He could sense the camel was a little woozy, but would live. He himself, felt stronger than ever. With new blood in his body, he was powerful, he saw further jumped higher, and ran faster than any animal alive, and why not, he felt a bit like an animal himself.
Garret made his was back. He was soon in the room again, reading. He found out he was a fast reader too, the book was finished in no time flat. Garret read it again, just to be positive of a few passages.
"Hey, where have you been?" Garret looked up.

Vixen stood at the entrance to Garret's room, a frown on her face. "Where have you been?" She asked, concern clear in her eyes. He looked up startled. She smiled at this... "so... even with all your new powers I can still sneak up on you huh?" She smiled, a bit nervous now that she was here... looking at him... already he was losing the colour to his skin... he seemed paler... his eyes glowed slightly as they picked up more light now, like a cats she noted... even in this semi-dark room. He seemed... calm enough... she wondered what he was reading so intensely.

Unconciously, she lifted her hand to the bite-marks still visible on her neck... they itched now... those wounds. She saw the pained look in Garret's gaze and realised what she was doing. Without thinking of anything more than comforting a friend... she rushed towards him... flinging her arms around him in a tight hug before he could turn away from her.

He hesitated... but the feel of her warm arms around him felt too good... he enclosed her in his own embrace and felt her sigh as if in relief. "I'm so glad you're alive Garret... I... I couldn't bare it if you had died without me having the chance to thank you... thank you for trying to protect me from that warlock."
Garret didn't say anything... his heart too full of relief that she wasn't horrified by his new altered state.

"So..." she said... curling up on his lap, clearly not going anywhere soon... "where did you go?" She listened intently to him speak of his first experiences as a vampire... she giggled hearing his squeamishness about the camel... she shook her head... "only you my dear friend would think like that even as a vampire... " she laughed softly. She was feeling tired again. She had slept, but waking up to find him missing had caused her to panic... the stress of it all... finally catching up with her... she slowly dozed off in Garret's preternatural arms... mumbling something about a journey before she relaxed completely... fast asleep.

Abdusalim awakened from his short slumber and prayed to Allah, asking Him that in all His might he would deign to help them.
