I have no problem with our agreeing to disagree on most of this. I do, however, concur wholeheartedly with you on this point!

I agree that we should agree to disagree on that which we disagree upon.

I thought I might have to put you on ignore if you tried to defend the mullet.

You will never ever convince me that k.d. lang is unattractive. :)

Change that to attractive and likewise.

Er, sorry. It was late and for some reason it didn't occur to me that you'd see that.

Etoile: Butches are sexy!
Stupon/Equinoxe: No they're not!

Based on a rigorous review of the arguments presented so far I'd have to say that Etoile is correct.

I personally think that you are merely adding your own opinion into the mix.

Also, I think Stuponfucious's position was slightly different, although I imagine he would agree.

All opinions are equal but some opinions are more equal than others.

You should spend more time in the Political threads, you'd fit right in with that attitude. ;)

PS: I am always right and anyone who disagrees with me is probably a bleeding heart liberal or working for sandniggers and/or French and ought to be ejaculated into the sun via a 100% Built in the USA cannon.

Hm, but I'm not into politics.

You left out the "Jew bastard" part of "bleeding heart liberal," but that aside I feel that you did rather well.

You'd think not from a lot of the talk on here, but somehow it happened.

So can someone explain the straight butch women? Are they trying to be gay men? Are the straight men who date them all girly men?

Personally, I'm attracted to both "Types" of woman. I can assure you I'm not playing out some bullshit ass theory of emulating a straight attraction on the Butch women I'm attracted to.

I mean really. I know just as many butch/butch and femme/femme couples as I do mixed. Heaven forbid people have an attraction preference.

There are obviously idiots, fakes, posers and people who are trying to emulate some stupid ass demographic. Every "group" has them.

Painting a stereotype on everyone is just bullshit.

That was actually my point, I just was a little overzealous in trying to argue my opposition and as a result came across as being very anti-Butch (what a strange statement).

Which is not what I intended at all, although it is not my personal attraction preference, I was argueing against an idea of a natural dynamic on the matter.

I do apologise if I was in any way insulting, as that was not my intent. Although, to be fair I think you glossed over parts of what I was saying and painted it in the worst possible light.

In the end all I'm saying is that people should be honest about who they are and be attracted to who they are attracted to, not trying to create roles.

There was no intended offence, no intended demeaning of any person or persons, simply an observation on a group (those who would create an unneccessary dynamic) that I find strange and contrived. I admit, however, that I did make overly generalised statements (although the difference in location may account in part for a difference in perspective), but I acknowledged that at an earlier point.

Actually, I was just putting down my opinion on the one thing I disagreed with in the conversation, not your particular post, or I would have quoted your bits.

No, not those bits, jeez.

Well, I am pretty sure I was the only making anything approximating that arguement, which was admittedly something more of a emotional arguement on my part.

I likewise forgot for a moment that you're a rather straightforward woman.

And I wasn't thinking those bits, you pervert. ;)

But you've also realized that not everything is personal, and your panties refrained from getting into a twist over it. Which rocks. Only about .5% of Lit has reached that level of understanding, and you seem to have come with it :D

;)

Well, thank you. I take very little personal at this point, which is beneficial on here to be sure.

hey, I didn't say that!

I said that it doesn't make sense to me for a lesbian to find butch lesbians sexy or likewise for a gay man to find a femme guy sexy. I did not refute that they actually might be sexy to other homosexuals, or even to me. On the contrary, some soft butch women I find very sexy, like Jodie Foster, or Ivanova from Bayblon 5.

And so, I suppose you can say, Equinoxe, that not only is my opinion slightly different, but apparently it's quite different from yours.

Not entirely, I find some slightly less feminine women attractive; once we get beyond around Annie Lennox territory then I get lost. By the time we get to k.d. lang or anyone whose fashion advice seems to be entirely taken from Col. Guile (that's a pretty masculine, or more boyish, reference of me), then I'm lost.

Hey wait a minute! What the hell happened to my poll?! that option said "how doesn't" and now it says "who doesn't."

It's been like that for a while, I'm guessing since approximately 7:40 AM (GMT) on the 20th.

KD Lang was my first female crush EVER. And I have always been in love with Annie's voice, but I could never do her.

Stuponfucious:
"Soft butch or maybe just Russian."

I never thought of her as being butch but, then again, I never viewed her actions/dress/personality as being along a masculine to feminine scale. At the same time, I saw her girlfriend as being attractive and feminine.

Regarding your poll, it was touched by a moderator. Sexy, no?

k.d. lang is a woman?!

Ha, just kidding!

Anyway, I wouldn't mind Guile style clothes, mainly it would be haircut (short isn't necessarily masculine to me though) and/or face/facial expression that would turn me off.

BTW, you are even hotter for knowing who Col. Guile is.

I've never found k.d. lang to be attractive and I'm not attracted to Annie Lennox, she just happened to be the least feminine woman I could think of at the time that I think is attractive.
