Coven, please be more careful!!! We'd hate to have something happen to you. A co-worker of mine has several bad scares on her face from an accident several years ago. A lady fell asleep and went over the line and ran head first into her car, it was a horrible accident. At least my co-worker lived, the other lady did not.

I must concur, it is wonderful to see this thread blossoming like a wondrous rose, attracting all the pretty little AZ bumblebees. As for that Oct. 15th party, was it that guy from the other site, or me? I didn't get enough feedback, just agreements. Ooh, Halloween's coming. I think I've decided, thanks to Sterling, on my costume. The Stay-Puft Marshmallow dude!!! Do you think marshmallows glue onto the nakey body well? What kind of glue should I use? Hot glue would stick well, I'm sure, but I'm not willing to suffer third degree burns over my whole body. Maybe I'm vain, but hey. OUCH.

Trust me, I will. I intend to take an alarm clock with me to work, and if I feel even the SLIGHTEST bit sleepy, take a 30 minute nap before I head home. AND stop at about the halfway point to get some coffee and to walk around a bit.

I was VERY lucky, as there were no other people or vehicles involved.

Halloween!

Is anyone actually dressing up for Halloween?

I generally go for the witchy or vampire type costumes, but this year I'm leaning towards the "evil dolly" look: red and white gingham dolly dress, stripey tights, mary janes, wig, and scary makeup. Maybe a plastic butcher knife or teddy bear modified to look evil. I'm still thinking on the accessories...

Cool thing is I have two extra near identical costumes. Maybe I can talk the old man into wearing one, and a friend into wearing the other. I think it would be a blast! My husband is a pretty good sport about dressing up for Halloween.

We are doing the "take the kids trick or treating" thing, then after grandma picks them up, we are going to a few costume contests and parties. Between midnight and 1am-ish we are having a small party at our house. It's our 9th wedding anniversary this Halloween and my best friend's birthday!

Of COURSE I'm dressing up for Halloween!!! I could never pass up that chance. I always have so much fun deciding on my costumes. One of my favorites was the year I was a television set in seventh grade. It was the cutest costume (if I do say so myself, which I just did), and I made it myself. Halloween is so much fun, if you do it right! Your costume sounds great, Raquel. *thumbs up*

my kid was once a bunch of grapes in a contest at Rawhide, made a paper mache hat from green paper for a stem, and about 50 purple balloons stuck all over him. I bet if i showed that photo to some of the 8th grade girls he'd kill me....

i guess to cover me it would take a lot more, but it would be the wildest costume i can imagine for an adult, totally wierd and therefore right up my alley....

Hi all.....I too have been gone for a few days and this thread has gone just CRAZY....thats a good thing....welcome to all newcomers....can't even effectively welcome you each personally with so much action....thats a great thing!! I have always dreamed of dressing up for halloween in black tights and leotards with yellow road road signs all over my body that say things like "dangerous curves"....."slippery when wet"....."merge"...."soft shoulder"....etc....but still have not gotten the courage to go public with that so will share with you and would love to hear how it goes if anyone dares try it!! As for the the get together I will PM you Mr. "O" and hope it can get pulled off cuz the people here are something else and meeting everyone would be just to much fun!! Have a great night everyone!!

Halloween - yes I dress up! I'm usually one of the few to dress up at work. Now that I'm at a new job I can't wait to see who dresses and who doesn't. Last year I was a deviled egg I had a white t-shirt and made a yellow 'yolk' I sewed on my shirt and made white devil hornes, tail, and pitch fork. I was 'evil, yet squishy'.

Halloween party

The idea of us all getting together sounds like so much fun! I would totally come to a party if you guys had one... if it weren't for the fact that I'll be at a party with all my friends from church. lol Plus, I'd have to wear a chastity belt, and those really don't look very comfy.
