My dad did the river raft trip years ago, and the pictures were awesome. I guess they had a really crazy time on the trip, lots of fun. Would love to try it sometime myself, but never think of vacationing there, lol...

It was a wonderful day outside today at lunch! I am enjoying working at a location that has tables under the shade trees in the grass to spend lunchtime! And fortunate enough to be working a schedule that gets me out for lunch before noon..
BG.. will be making the run down on sat. will see what I can do about getting out for a little while.

Mmm...you haven't had real tamales then...they come in many varieties, depending on the family recipe...but my favorite are the ones with beef and a little green olive in it...just be careful, sometimes they are the ones with a pit in it.
Yum, enjoy...!I hear that Zoo... I love the desert too, and I'm assuming you mean the Phoenix valley (living in the White Mtns. when I was young, everybody referred to Phoenix as 'the valley'). I agree...I lived there for a year when I was just out of high school...It has changed a great deal, as has Tucson. Neither is as nice a place as they used to be, but that's progress, I guess...

I may not be from Arizona right now, but this time next year I hope to be moving to the Chandler area. Can't wait. I live in NY atm and I am excited to know that this coming winter will be my last winter here. Woot!

Not going to hibernate here, I came here to get away from the cold, actually after 15 years in Tucson I dont mind the "dry heat" lol...... if you are going to have a least favorite season hot summers are whole lot better than cold winters anytime.

Thank you J...well, if you must be out and about...hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! People, especially here in the desert, often are chronically dehydrated without realizing it. My son has summer football practice right now, and I make him drink water all day long before he even heads out onto the field in the late afternoon. Summer is fun though... all the hotties by the pool, walking around in little skimpy nothings...I'm talking about the guys, of course...
