Call me crazy but love the day after day of 100+ we get in the summertime! I always hate to see summer go.. :(

The day I arrived here in Aug. it was 115! was ready to get back in the car and keep driving. 90-100 I can deal with as long as the nights cool down, but when it is over 90 at 10 pm, that just ain't right!

We sometimes go for days when it never gets under 100.. I think the lake acts as insulator..
 
64 yr old married male. By no means elderly, just 64. Lake Havasu City. Seems most of the Lit folks are from the Phoenix area. I'm always up for a chat with intelligent, articulate, and open minded women.

fortunately, I have summers off and get to travel far and wide (though, where I keep ending up seems to be worse than here!)...

Well, they aren't exactly "off" - usually work much more during the summers, only get to do it in different places... Everything comes with a price...

Still for me the opportunity to see someplace different every summer would be fantastic.. I live 350 miles from where I was born and havent been anywhere you cant reach in a 6 hr drive.. except for my trip to my son's in Oakland last febuary.

Move to where you have "beach" front property on the Colorado River. When California falls off, you'll have prime real estate.

I know when I first flew out here to check it out for a weekend before deciding on moving here it felt worse back in the midwest at 80 degrees in the summer than the 100 plus degrees out here.
