I wanted to give a shout out to everyone in AZ, especially the Tucson area. I've been stuck in CT for the past 14 years but I'm a desert rat born and raised. Tucson will always be home to me no matter where I happen to live. I've only been back twice since I left and the last time was about 8 years ago. I'm seriously jonesing for an Eegee and some South Side Mexican food and real green corn tamales. :D

Thanks for the welcome, sunbunny! Yes, there is something about the desert that stays inside your soul and always leaves you longing for its harsh beauty. I may be living here, but the desert is my home.

Don't get me wrong.. I am loving life in texas, everything is a beautiful green here.. but hanging on to my little piece of desert and hope to be able to retire there in 10 years or so.. :)

It's the same here in CT. Very green and beautiful. I'm still amazed that water comes out of rocks and the rivers never run dry. ;) I still like the snow here and the fall leaves are very beautiful.

The hardest thing to adjust to was that I can't see very far here. The hills are steep and the valleys are narrow. You're lucky if you can see a few miles as opposed to the 40 miles you can out there.

True.. And the smoggy air.. Grrr.

Pity there's work tomorrow. Be a good day to explore some seductive spring time spots, or maybe spring time seduction spots....

Woohoo! Just joined today and found the AZ playground. 40/M wants to have phun and maybe LTR. I have read stories here on this site for about a two years now. I am impressed at some of the talented authors here. Hope to hear from y'all ...especially the ladies. Ha :D

Thx Nymph. Sounds like this might be a phun place to "hang out". People here seem down to earth...

on the day before yesterday I spent about half an hour in Arizona on the way from Edmonton Alberta to Palm Springs, California.

The virgin river gorge is unreal.
