I'm from the other side of the state.. so what is an eegee??

I miss the desert and the heat.. people here are still grumping about the heat cuz we are in the 80's right now.. sissylalas! ;)

Damn sissies! They don't know what REAL heat is... I have to say that I miss it too, especially now that fall is in force here in CT and the temps are down in the 50s :(

An eegee is a frozen slushy drink from the restaurant of the same name. SOOOO refreshing on a hot day. Here's a link: http://www.eegees.com/flavors/

It is a cool 98 in the Valley today!

While I do miss autumn I must confess these amazing open skies, brilliant sunsets and rises, and pleasant winters do corrupt one...

it is going to be a wild party - Ms. Deprived and Sunbunny will be putting on a "special show" :D

Damn, and here I am 2500 miles away... :(

What I miss the most here isn't the warmth as much as the sun. In the winter I go to work not long after sunrise and come home in the dark. The sunset is about 4:30 after we fall back for daylight savings time. I need my sunshine to stay relatively sane.

I can certainly relate to that, some years ago I lived for too long in the upper midwest! why anyone in their right mind settled there, I have no idea! oh wait, there are people who live even further north - crazy canadians!!!

I think that they believe those in the desert are just as crazy as we think they are. ;) I'm a desert rat born and raised and I can't conceive of living that far north in the cold and the wild differences in daylight through the year. I've been living here in CT for the past 15 years and I'm reaching my limit. It's quite beautiful here but it's not the same as the beauty of the desert.

So, Monday huh!

Well, my dear fellow Zonies at home and far away, ex Zonies and future ones, transplanted and transcended ones....... Mr Hum is getting the hot tub ready so there's something to look forward to. Right?

a hot tub would rock, its about 45 here..... Jellous now:D

I'm ready, tub's ready, and the water is SO FINE!

I keep telling them they don't know hot at work.. And I waste a nice outfit on business dress days huddling inside my way over sized mens hoodie.

I need the sunshine on my skin to recharge my soul.. :D

I couldn't have said it better. Considering that about half the days here in CT are overcast, that's not nearly enough sun for me. This year I'm finally investing in a "daylight" bulb for one of my lamps at home. That should help during the winter months.

I am blessed that I get off work early enough to get some time in the sun on my patio in the afternoon.

I thought you had a broom?

(Sorry BunBun. But I just couldn't resist, being so close to Halloween and all. :D)

I think she set herself up for that one!

though the image of sunbunny with her legs wrapped around a pole is quite enticing! :D

Next time you visit, ome down in July or early August. Get you right back into the swing of things :D

I can't believe I'm considering going to the state fair. Has anyone been yet? Is there anything fun to do?

I admit, I'm in it for the food. Being pregnant does that to a girl....

Never been to the AZ State Fair either, only the Pima County Fair which was a lot of fun. But that was something like 20 years ago...

I think they pretty much deep fry everything these days, it sounds somewhat revolting to me....... Actually, I'm just afraid to try it for fear that I might really like it!
